Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2213: 40 closeness

The contract was dissolved.

Ye Zhongming let out a silent sigh.

Although this was his choice, losing such an excellent war beast still made him feel a bit reluctant. Moreover, if the White Dragon Horse were no longer by his side, it would also be an obstacle to his desire to uncover the truth about the traitor dragon clan.

Naturally, he would also have to wait for Yangos to come up to the sky to let them meet and see if they were of the same clan.

This arrogant creature, after completing this trial, should disappear and leave freely, right?

What the dragon image gave the White Dragon Horse should not only be a blessing to remove its negative state, but also some information about the history of their traitor dragon clan, and even their mission.

Soon, the dragon image grew weaker and weaker, slowly disappearing.

The mysterious existence in the mountain belly seemed not to have the intention of ʼmeddlingʼ in the phenomenon during advancement, whether it was Jie Suʼs earlier consciousness roaming or the White Dragon Horseʼs dragon phenomenon.

Or perhaps, it did not have enough energy?

It was not surprising that Ye Zhongming thought this way. After all, no one knew how many years this mountain belly had existed. At least as far as they knew, it had provided trials for the three people and one dragon on their side, as well as for Little Ninth Brother and Wen Hong. The energy consumption must have been considerable. Add to that the fact that it had existed for who knew how many years, it was understandable that its remaining energy was low.
Only, he did not know whether his guess was correct.

The White Dragon Horseʼs body grew at a visible rate. Brand-new scales began to emerge from its flesh and blood.

No one knew whether the White Dragon Horse would experience this situation if it evolved normally. But the way it looked now seemed a bit pitiful.

Perhaps because a traitor dragon clan member who had become a great expert would form dragon might, even though the White Dragon Horse was still in a sleeping state, that aura had already permeated out. The three people were all resisting it. Ye Zhongming and White Robe, in particular, faced greater pressure due to the gap in level.

Soon, the White Dragon Horseʼs body stopped expanding. Its entire body was covered with brand new white scales. Illuminated by the light emitted by the sparks, it looked beautiful, like pure white snow under sunlight.

After a while, the White Dragon Horseʼs body moved. Then a pair of dragon eyes slowly opened.

When its gaze swept over the three people, they felt coldness, cruelty, rage, and bloodthirstiness within... Then the White Dragon Horse slowly stood up. Its giant body swayed back and forth. Clicking sounds inside its body continued incessantly. When there were no more sounds, the White Dragon Horse suddenly let out a loud dragon roar, causing the entire mountain belly to tremble with it.

”Indeed, the traitor dragon clan, exiled for unknown reasons, is already this strong upon just becoming a great expert.”

Jie Su remarked. Just the strength the White Dragon Horse was now displaying already surpassed his own. To go against this dragon, Jie Su would have to go all out, not only activating his formations but also relying on some auxiliary formations to barely cope.

It was just a pity... Jie Su glanced out of the corner of his eye at his brother, and also at the closeness display on Eternal Grace.

It still showed 0.

After the echoes of the dragon roar inside the mountain belly gradually faded, the White Dragon Horse slowly lowered its head and looked at Ye Zhongming.

At this moment, its gaze was already very different from before. Those violent emotions had been retracted, but it was still filled with coldness.

”Maybe you can tell me about your traitor dragon clan. Why were you exiled? Or, you can give me those shed dragon scales, so that our time as master and war beast will not have been in vain?”

Ye Zhongming said with a shrug.

Whether it was information about the traitor dragon clan or the spiritual dragon scales on the ground, they were all good things. If he could obtain them both, it would be a small compensation for the loss of a great expert war beast.

”Um, how about we discuss how to deal with the next battle?”

Seeing that the White Dragon Horse showed no sign of speaking, Ye Zhongming immediately changed the subject.

If you donʼt want to give, then donʼt give. No need to look at me like that.

Whether it was the information about the traitor dragon clan or the dragon scales on the ground, if the White Dragon Horse was unwilling to give them to Ye Zhongming, that was understandable. After all, one was a secret, and the other was... personal privacy.

”Why?”

The White Dragon Horse suddenly said.

Ye Zhongming frowned. He did not understand what this creature meant.

”Why didnʼt you stop my evolution?”

The White Dragon Horseʼs voice had changed slightly, more mature, with a hint of an elusive remoteness.

”No reason,” Ye Zhongming said, squinting his eyes.

Regarding the White Dragon Horse, Ye Zhongming naturally wished it well. After all, it was his war beast, or at least it had been.

But that did not mean he feared it. Even though it had now become a great expert, he had tolerated its earlier direct gaze and a few words. But now, with this somewhat overbearing attitude, Ye Zhongming felt a bit rebellious.

Of course, this was not a major problem. The White Dragon Horse probably just wanted a clear answer.

The White Dragon Horse stood upright, looked around the mountain belly, and then said, ”I think that after you transform, you cannot beat me.”

Hmm?

Ye Zhongming did not understand why the White Dragon Horse said this.

Wasnʼt this question obvious? Although Ye Zhongming became very powerful after transforming, and when going all out, he was infinitely close to the great expert level, he still could not reach that level. Facing a member of the traitor dragon clan, which was naturally a bit stronger than the cosmic races upon reaching adulthood, he was naturally no match for it.

”When you can beat me, you can try to re-sign the contract with me.”

After saying this, the White Dragon Horse tucked its wings against its sides, with an attitude of ʼI donʼt want to talk to you, donʼt speak to me anymoreʼ.

Everyone was a bit stunned. Did this mean... reacceptance?

”Old Ye, look,” White Robe suddenly pointed at Eternal Grace and said softly.

Ye Zhongming and Jie Su looked together. They saw that the closeness value there had changed... to 40.

At this moment, everyone realized something. Previously, the closeness display had been 0, yet it remained visible rather than disappearing. This actually indicated that the master-servant contract between Ye Zhongming and the White Dragon Horse had not disappeared, only their closeness had dropped to 0.

Now that the White Dragon Horse had awakened, with its proud personality, when it was stronger than Ye Zhongming, it might indeed ʼlook down onʼ its master and feel that its pride had been hurt. But in its heart, it still recognised Ye Zhongming. Otherwise, the closeness of 40 could not be explained.

Seeing the White Dragon Horseʼs unwillingness to admit it, everyoneʼs mood was great.

”You should still think about how to distribute the remaining points, shouldnʼt you?” the White Dragon Horse suddenly said. ”We donʼt know whether the next trial will become more difficult because of my evolution. Also, donʼt forget those two outside. Their levels should both be great experts.”

With one sentence, it brought everyone back to reality.
