Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2191: Karuskas Hills

In the second round of the second stage of trials, although the three people and one dragon had prepared themselves to face difficulties, they were still shocked by the intensity of this battle.

How to put it... Anyway, it was like this: as soon as they appeared, they were immediately surrounded by countless powerful parasites, which then suppressed them into the narrowest range and attacked them!

Jie Suʼs formation was activated immediately. White Robe and the White Dragon Horse formed the White-White Combination, one above and one below, responsible for defending attacks from their respective directions. Ye Zhongming was also ready to activate his transformation at any moment to save them from potential crises.

They were now extremely grateful that they had repaired all their equipment beforehand; otherwise, they estimated that they would have sustained severe injuries within two minutes.

In battles like this, injuries often determined the final outcome.

At this moment, Ye Zhongming was almost going all out. The two elemental spirits, their energy restored, caused gravity anomalies in the surrounding area, which was highly advantageous to the three people and one dragon, and kept them within the illumination of the moonlight field, increasing the various attributes of the three and the dragon.

The Lord equipment also showed its capabilities, especially the Mountain King Crown. Ye Zhongming used its several abilities separately when they could not hold on, thereby alleviating the pressure.

Although dangerous situations arose repeatedly, they still managed to hold on.

However, as the attacking power of the three people and one dragon gradually weakened, and as equipment was damaged and injuries appeared, their situation became increasingly dangerous.

If this continued, not to mention letting Jie Su obtain more points, even whether they could survive until the end was a problem.
Both Ye Zhongming and the White Dragon Horse were ready to use their last-resort measures.

But then a slight change occurred on the battlefield, causing Ye Zhongming and the others to suppress the urge to use their ultimate moves.

Although they were in the midst of intense combat, they were experts and very sensitive to changes on the battlefield, even the most subtle ones.

At a certain moment, they felt the pressure lighten slightly.

This reduction in pressure did not make things much easier for them, but it allowed them to spot an opportunity to counterattack.

Ye Zhongming immediately summoned the Mountain Rage and then activated Radiance Move.

Although he could not unleash the terrifying spiritual shockwave that covered almost the entire sky and earth as he could in his transformed state, through the buff of Radiance Move, Ye Zhongmingʼs spiritual power still turned into a tide that spread across most of the battlefield.

Parasites had weaker resistance to spiritual impacts than other lifeforms. Although these parasites were at a high level, they were clearly all affected to a considerable degree.

The several people naturally did not miss this opportunity. They began to clear the enemies in front of them quickly. Ye Zhongming, in particular, controlled the Raini-grade mechanical war beast, Mountain Rage. First, he sprayed out a large amount of flame using the ability ʼMountain Burnerʼ. This flame, carrying fire poison, shot out from Mountain Rageʼs mouth, turning the surrounding area into a sea of fire. Ye Zhongming took the opportunity to repeatedly fire blade beams, finishing off the enemiesʼ lives.

Then came the energy gun in its abdomen and the ʼCyclone Bladesʼ on its leg sides. He was almost unleashing firepower in a full-attack state.

Previously, Ye Zhongming had not used Mountain Rage for two reasons. First, there was no opportunity. In the intense combat, bringing out Mountain Rage might provide them with temporary help, but the consequences were something Ye Zhongming did not want. A Raini-grade mechanical war beast was not like other Raini-grade equipment; if it was lost, it was lost. He could not yet produce such an excellent technological product.

Second, the energy for Mountain Rage consumed Moonspan Gold—three thousand Moonspan Gold per hour—and also required other energy sources, such as ʼScorching Flame Liquidʼ, the fuel for Mountain Burner. These were the major expenses. Overall, it costs no less than ten thousand Moonspan Gold per hour.

Although Ye Zhongming had a lot of money, as if he could afford it easily, he also had many other expenses and had to budget carefully; otherwise, he would soon go bankrupt. The fact that he had achieved his current situation—where both he personally and the small group around him were developing rapidly—was directly related to the amount of money he spent.

The three people and one dragon all exerted their strength at the same time, quickly clearing a large open space in front of them. In a short period, the number of parasites they killed exceeded the total they had killed before.

At this moment, they also saw why the battlefield had changed: because some lifeforms had entered from the outside.

Ye Zhongming looked over, and his expression immediately brightened.

”Follow me. Letʼs go and join up with them!”

Jie Su and the others looked up and saw a mechanical war beast with a young girl holding a long-handled battle axe riding on it, charging and killing among the parasite swarm. They looked very powerful. Both the mechanical war beast and the young girl had combat capabilities that could not be underestimated. They had forcibly carved a bloody path through the parasite swarm.

However, after all, they were too few in number. After their momentum in charging weakened, they gradually entered positional warfare. Facing enemies from all directions, they suddenly found their situation critical. If Ye Zhongming and his group had not arrived in time, they would not have lasted much longer.

”Kid, long time no see.” Ye Zhongming came over and slapped the head of the mechanical war pet. Although on Earth this youth had been an enemy rather than a friend, in the universe, they had become friends on the Novice battlefield. Meeting him here, Ye Zhongming was very happy.

At the same time, the appearance of the mechanical genius also verified some thoughts in Ye Zhongmingʼs mind.

”My name is not Kid!”

The mechanical geniusʼs voice came out, still as... not quite normal. But Ye Zhongming could tell that this guy was also very happy.

They might have different personalities, but they shared common ground in some areas, such as the Great Earth Plan.

”I saw you were surrounded and was afraid you would get killed.”

The mechanical genius entered the defensive circle of the three people and one dragon. With the situation improved, his mouth was still not conceding defeat.

Ye Zhongming smiled slightly and did not mind. He then asked, ”Where is this?”

”Karuskas Hills, ten kilometers west of the Ferrosong peopleʼs encampment.” Although he did not know why Ye Zhongming had appeared here without knowing where he was, the mechanical genius still immediately answered his question.

Ye Zhongming glanced at the young girl who had been silent. He found it a bit strange why the mechanical genius, with his personality, would allow her to ride on his war pet. But he did not pay too much attention. The location of Karuskas Hills immediately came to mind.

This place was over a thousand kilometers away from the Overlapping Water Dead Zone.

”Thereʼs something I need to trouble you with.”

With the few of them joined together, the surrounding parasites, which had already suffered heavy losses, no longer posed much pressure on them. As long as no accidents occurred, they could already survive this trial.

”Go ahead.”

The mechanical genius listened attentively.

”You need to find a way to get to the Overlapping Water Dead Zone and notify the Su Clan and the Star-Eye Clan. Tell them that Jie Su, White Robe, and I are all fine. Tell them not to worry, to wait patiently for our return, and... to try their best to make thorough preparations.”

Ye Zhongming could not speak too specifically; the risk was too great.

”Okay.” The mechanical genius agreed readily, then paused and said, ”Does the Star-Eye Clan need any people? The kind who can fight and take hits.”
