Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2194: Reward change and explanation

They had thought the trials would always be that swarm tactic, but when the second round of the third stage of trials arrived, the three people and one dragon discovered that the opponent they faced this time was a super level-nine lifeform.

Its not-huge body made it look about the size of an elephant. Such a size was not particularly outstanding among the parasites.

However, though its body was about the size of an elephant, its combat power was far beyond that of an elephant. Its speed and strength gave the three people a very hard time. They even felt that dealing with this existence, whose strength surpassed theirs, was still preferable to dealing with those endless parasites.

Fortunately, Jie Suʼs formation could still be adjusted according to the situation on the field. He used a defensive formation. Fortunately, White Robeʼs agility and strangeness could finally be put to use, greatly distracting the opponent. Fortunately, the White Dragon Horse had learned ʼBright Light Breathʼ and could occasionally enhance the defenses of Jie Su and White Robe, and even sometimes assist when Ye Zhongmingʼs elemental spirits did not apply the Black Soil Armor in time.

Especially Ye Zhongming. After he transformed, his overall combat power, if not reaching the great expert level, was close to it. Coupled with the variety of his transformation forms, with him and Jie Su holding the line, they gradually gained the advantage.

By the time they killed this super level-nine existence, although everyone had sustained some injuries, their overall condition was still acceptable. The main issue was that their consumption was a bit high, all the potions they had purchased were used up, and the equipment damage rate had reached 90%.

Of course, there was also the failure of Ye Zhongmingʼs small experiment.

When they were teleported back to the mountain belly, the scroll he had activated did not bring back anything.

”Second stage of trials completed. Reward change: 1 point exchanges for 4 Furelai. Items in the reward pool are at 5% discount.”

This was almost the best news the three people and one dragon had heard.
For them, this meant many things.

First, purchasing items would consume fewer points. With the same number of points, they could buy more items. In the increasingly difficult trials, this was equivalent to increasing their chances of survival.

Second, the change in the Furelai exchange ratio greatly accelerated Jie Suʼs progress toward becoming a great expert.

For example, Jie Suʼs Furelai had now reached 82601 after several trials, an increase of nearly fifty points from before. The distance to the 100,000 line was only 17,399.

Under the previous exchange ratio, this would have required 5,800 reward points. Now, it only required 4,350! Before the points for this round had been announced, Jie Su already had 1,505 points. He only needed to obtain another 2,845 points to become a great expert.

Everyoneʼs points began to be announced. Because the White Dragon Horse had mostly played a supporting role, it did not obtain too many points, but it still got 420 points. Added to its remaining points, it had 478 in total.

White Robe had performed well in this round, so he obtained 711 points, bringing his total to 1,027.

Ye Zhongming was the main combat force, so he obtained 1,275 points, bringing his current reward points to 1,995.

What everyone cared about most was Jie Su. When they looked over, smiles appeared on all their faces.

Jie Su had been holding the front line during the battle. Although his attacks were not prominent, he had successfully attracted most of the firepower. Because everyone wanted him to obtain more points, the final kill was given to him. Therefore, his points were also the most among the group. He obtained 1,494 points. Added to his previous 1,505, Jie Suʼs points had now reached 2,999!

He was only 1,351 points away from 4,350!

Given the increasing rate of total reward points per trial, Jie Su would be able to complete the leap to a great expert in the next round!

This would be the first among these like-minded people to reach the great expert level!

From then on, they would have an arrowhead, a symbolic figure.

With Jie Su leading the way, the others would also be protected and cared for, allowing them to develop more securely and quickly.

Stepping back, with Jie Su as a target attracting firepower, the others would also have a much easier time.

The three people and one dragon discussed what to purchase this time. Since each stage inevitably brought new difficulties, they had to approach it cautiously.

Before Jie Su became a great expert, they still had to survive at least one more round.

White Robeʼs opinion leaned toward purchasing those expensive, large-scale killing rewards, such as powerful magic scrolls, certain one-time use skills, or numerous war puppets with average combat power, etc.

His idea was simple: the next round would be the darkest moment before dawn. Before Ye Zhongming could transform again and before Jie Su became a great expert, they had to use every means possible to survive. Even the White Dragon Horseʼs pill, White Robe, felt, was not very reliable. After all, the super lifeform they had encountered in the previous round was already at the great expert level, and the White Dragon Horseʼs strongest form after taking the drug would probably be about the same.

If they did nothing, or just bought some potions and repaired equipment as before, White Robe felt they would fail.

After discussion, this view gradually gained the agreement of them. So they began to choose from those reward items that seemed wasteful but, once used, could decide the battlefield situation.

Just as they were making their selections, they suddenly heard that voice again.

”Because the tested have completed the first two stages of the trials, they will receive thirty percent explanation power.”

Then, without waiting for the three people and one dragon to respond, a ray of light enveloped them.

The three people and one dragon in the light only felt their vision darken, and the scene completely changed. They seemed to be suddenly placed in the universe. They saw this planet below them. Its original appearance was very beautiful, with vibrant colors and brimming with life. Even looking from afar, they could feel the nature there.

They even saw powerful lifeforms that could fly into outer space using only their physical bodies.

Then, they returned inside the planet and saw that the entire planet was engulfed in flames of war. This was not a change of eras or a change of power, but... the arrival of the end.

The Wheel appeared on this planet.

Just like on Earth, under the intrusion of the Wheel, this place fell into chaos.

Because the lifeforms here were powerful, the intensity of the battles, even wars, in the initial stage was much higher than on Earth. The destruction caused to the planet was presented before the eyes of the three people and one dragon in a terrifying manner.

During the war, they continually absorbed the Wheelʼs technology and gradually developed capabilities that could integrate with their own civilizations.

They did not know how many years had passed—it did not feel like very long to several people—and the chaos on the planet began to subside. It even completed a great unification through this process. In the following period, it rapidly recovered and developed, almost entering a brand-new era.

Then, the Slave Race descended.
