Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2206: First battle

The momentum was so great that all life around the camp felt that powerful aura. Some of the weaker existences had already begun to scatter and flee in all directions.

The formations Jie Su deployed were still intermediate-level formations. But after he had advanced to a great expert, the same formations could already unleash a different kind of strength from before.

This feeling was good.

The formation beneath his feet was not an offensive formation, but an enhancement formation. It made Jie Su even stronger. Combined with the thunderclouds above his head, it created such a display of power.

Jie Su had moved forward less than ten meters, yet he had already enveloped the two Eight Heads clan leaders standing at the front, along with the dozens of people behind them, within the range of the thunderclouds.

Countless lightning bolts fell from the sky, striking every life within the range except Jie Su himself.

At least ten people could not block even the first lightning bolt. They were struck down directly. From their increasingly weaker convulsions, it was clear that their chances of survival were low.

The two clan leaders were powerful figures among the Eight Heads, among the strongest few in Dark Strip City. One of them manifested a fierce beast phantom above his head to resist the heavenly thunder. The other clan leader, the one from the Zhengji Clan, actually raised his head. Continuous beams of silver light shot from his eyes to meet the lightning bolts that would fall around him.

They lived up to their reputation as the strongest few in Dark Strip City. Even though this was Jie Suʼs first full-powered attack after becoming an expert, they barely managed to hold it off.

This gave them some confidence, restoring them somewhat from the initial panic of discovering that Jie Su was a great expert.
They realized something.

A great expert was indeed terrifying. The Eight Heads indeed had no such figure. But Jie Su was at most a great expert who had just entered the level, and he was a Su Clan member not skilled in combat. If the top experts of the Eight Heads fought him together, there was still hope of victory. After all, several of them were only one step away from the great expert level, including the main combatant of the Zhengji Clan.

Perhaps after this battle, he would be able to cross that threshold and enter that long-desired realm.

However, they forgot one thing: Jie Su was indeed a newly inducted great expert, not as powerful as the old-timers. But at the same time, this was his first time fighting at this rank, and he was still in the stage of gradually becoming familiar with everything.

So, after a moment, those within the lightning found that the attacks had become stronger and more dense.

People near the thunderclouds began to attack. They saw the two clan leaders struggling to hold on.

But no matter what kind of attack it was, as soon as it entered the range of the thunderclouds, lightning bolts would fall and neutralize those attacks.

In the end, there was no choice. Everyone around attacked together. Even those who had seen the lightning flashes from a distance and came to help joined the battle. The total number of people exceeded five hundred within half a minute, and two more clan leader-level figures arrived at the scene.

This was simply because the situation here was too conspicuous. In the dark night, this anomaly could be seen from afar.

The density of attacks instantly reached a heart-stopping level.

And the lightning from the formation above became almost like a torrential downpour, so dense that Jie Suʼs figure could no longer be seen within.

”He has a limit. The intensity will not stay this high forever. Everyone, keep going!”

Someone shouted from the side, reminding everyone.

More people arrived. There were now around seven or eight hundred people surrounding the area. More people were still coming. If it were not for the constant outbreaks of fire within the camp, causing considerable chaos, even more and stronger figures would have come here.

The intensity of their attacks increased. The lightning beneath the thunderclouds also increased. This caused great suffering to those within the range. Apart from the two clan leaders, everyone else had already been electrocuted into charcoal. Even the two clan leaders were now struggling to resist.

Their clansmen gradually noticed something was wrong. They approached one after another, using their attacks to offset the falling lightning, which gave the two leaders some relief.

”Summon... people... kill... him!”

The Zhengji clan leader, who was the commander of the Dark Strip City alliance, uttered a few words with difficulty at a moment when he could catch his breath.

Among the few people who had appeared in the camp, Jie Su was the most powerful. Kill him, and the others would be easier to deal with.

He was also telling the others that they no longer needed to worry about this personʼs Su Clan identity.

Inside the formation, Jie Su smiled contemptuously.

A moment ago, he had stopped moving because of all the attacks coming at him. Now, he gently pushed his hands outward, and countless lightning bolts changed from falling vertically to flying outward.

”Who told you that my attacks are only within the thunderclouds?”

At that moment, everyone around was hit by the sudden lightning. The entire scene was like a blooming flower. Those who fell were the petals—stained petals.

Jie Su, at the center, withdrew his hands, moved his body again, and left the center of the flower, rushing to the side.

The weapon in his hand and the lightning began to claim lives. Those who the lightning had hit, even if not dead, could hardly withstand his attacks.

Within a few minutes, of the seven or eight hundred people, only a few dozen remained.

Jie Su panted slightly, looking at those fleeing toward the camp, immense exhilaration in his heart.

When had the warriors of the Su Clan ever felt so triumphant? With the formations and their own powerful strength, the Su Clan could, like other races, be suitable for combat in any situation. With the protection of formations, the Su Clan should stand at the top of the cosmic races.

He looked at the two clan leaders who had been caught in his thunderclouds from the beginning. They had not fled. It was not that they did not want to, but that they could not. They had no strength left to escape. Their own clansmen had also abandoned them at this moment.

Jie Su walked to them, said nothing, and plunged his weapon into their bodies, ending their lives.

He put away his formations and waited in place for a moment. He saw the chaos in the Eight Heads camp and heard the sounds of mutated lifeforms running from the periphery. He knew that his two friends had begun their respective tasks.

He stepped forward, walking toward the campʼs interior.

This was a good night for killing.

……………………

”Clan leader, where are we going? Why have the Su Clan also moved?”

”Eye Lady, at a time like this, donʼt you think you should give us an explanation?”

”Star Lord, wonʼt you say something? Following you like this without knowing why makes us uncomfortable.”

Beside the Half-Abyss Demon Cave, the entire camp of the Su Clan and the small race alliance was on the move. The Su Clan had already set off first. But on the small race side, some approached the two Star-Eye adults, demanding an explanation.

”Hunting.”

Eye Lady’s voice was somewhat cold.

”Follow the Su Clan to go hunting. Those unwilling to go can stay here to watch the camp. But let me make this clear in advance: those who stay will no longer be friends.”

With that, he led the team and followed the Su Clan as they set off. Only a small number of warriors responsible for defense were left behind in the entire camp.

Half a day later, the mechanical genius appeared on the Long River Alluvial Plain.
