Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2193: Extra points (2)

Everyone looked at each other, not understanding what it meant.

The mechanical genius and that young girl were not present. Were the 573 points from the two of them combined simply going to waste?

Earlier, upon seeing everyoneʼs scores, Ye Zhongming made a rough estimate: they had obtained only a little over 1,600 points in total. This was quite far from the roughly 2,000 points that several people had estimated earlier. Now, seeing the points obtained by the mechanical genius and the young girl, they understood what had happened.

But these points—could they only be seen and not used?

”Due to the presence of external factors, the 573 points are shared, freely distributable.”

That voice appeared at the right time, solving their problem.

White Robe smiled. ”What a false alarm. I thought we were going to lose so many points, but it turns out they can be freely distributed. Old Su, here you go.”

Ye Zhongming also nodded in agreement from the side.

Jie Su shook his head. ”I think we should treat these points as free points. We still need to repair equipment and purchase Full Recovery Time-Release Agents and such.”

”We can cover that from the White Dragon Horseʼs and my shares. Give these points to you. If you can become a great expert, it will help us tremendously.”
Ye Zhongming waved his hand and said.

Giving these points to Jie Su was the most cost-effective option.

If they gave the 573 points obtained by the mechanical genius and the young girl to Jie Su, his total points would reach 1,505, bringing him closer to the over-5,000 points needed.

Ye Zhongming selected some equipment to decompose and repair their original gear. Because the pressure they faced this time was not as great, the total cost was only 100 points, compared to 200-300 points last time. These were deducted from the White Dragon Horse. After that, this creature also bought a dragon helmet and a scale tail, leaving it with 156 points.

While the White Dragon Horse was selecting equipment, Ye Zhongming had been watching from the side. After the White Dragon Horse finished its selections and was about to stop, he suddenly stopped his war beast.

”Exchange for this one.”

Ye Zhongming pointed to an item in the reward pool.

Jie Su and White Robe leaned together to look and saw that it was a skill called ʼBright Light Breathʼ. From the description, it was actually somewhat similar to dragon breath, but its function was not offensive—it was defensive.

And it was not for defending oneself, but for enhancing the defense of others.

”When I reach adulthood or break through 100,000 Furelai, my dragon breath will manifest a clear ability,” the White Dragon Horse said, not quite agreeing with this. It was afraid that learning this ability would affect the power of its dragon breath when it reached adulthood.

For a body-type traitor dragon clan member like it, the dragon breath ability only appeared upon reaching adulthood. Usually, it was ʼbrittleʼ, which made the targetʼs body easily injured. If the targetʼs resistance was very low, it could even directly make them crispy, causing their bodies to be shattered and lose their lives.

”It shouldnʼt, because the evolutionary priority of your adulthood will be very high and will cover this ability,” Ye Zhongming explained, then added, ”Also, once you take that drug, becoming a great expert will not be easy. Even if you reach adulthood, your dragon breath probably wonʼt evolve either.”

These words made the White Dragon Horse feel a deep sense of malice.

However, after a moment of consideration, the White Dragon Horse still followed Ye Zhongmingʼs advice and exchanged for this ability, which cost 98 points.

Thus, the White Dragon Horse once again became a two-digit existence, its points left at a pitiful 58.

White Robe looked around and exchanged 15 points for a berserker pill, prepared to use it in a desperate situation. The side effects were enormous. Once he used it, whether he could even survive until the trial was over and be healed by the sparks was another question.

This left him with 316 points accumulated.

Jie Su still exchanged for nothing. Including the points from the mechanical genius and the young girl, he maintained 1,505.

When it came to Ye Zhongming, he first chose a scroll.

”Zhongming, the power of this kind of scroll is not enough to kill the parasites of the intensity we encounter,” Jie Su saw it and couldnʼt help but persuade. ”Also, the cost-effectiveness isnʼt great, right? Fifteen points is almost as much as Red Condensation-grade equipment.”

This scroll was a magic scroll that could create a large area of freezing around it.

”I donʼt intend to use it against the parasites, but to continue some experiments,” Ye Zhongming said. ”The parasites we kill cannot be brought back, nor can their materials be used. During the trials, the plants, minerals, and such around us also cannot be collected or refine. I wonder if itʼs because of our own power? Also, equipment we buy from the reward pool can be taken out and brought back, and the same goes for it after repair. So... this kind of scroll is not our energy, nor does its activation rely on our energy. If I use it to wrap various materials, can I bring them back to this space? Not by putting them in our spatial gear, but by freezing one of our pieces of equipment together with some materials, to see if they can all be transmitted back.”

Seeing that Jie Su wanted to say something, Ye Zhongming spoke in advance: ”I know the hope is slim. This super existence is unlikely to leave such a bug. But... what if?”

The others no longer objected after hearing this. Although the scroll was a bit expensive, it was only 15 points. Trying it out, even if the chance was only one in ten thousand, couldnʼt be considered a loss.

After that, Ye Zhongming chose an energy recovery agent worth more than 100 points, which left Jie Su and White Robe even more confused.

”Jie Su, donʼt choose anything yet. Let this interface stay for a while longer.”

After Ye Zhongming finished speaking, he sat on the ground and entered a meditative state. He wanted to purify energy within his body to give to the elemental spirits and the Mountain King Crown.

What Ye Zhongming chose to enhance was still the Mountain King Crown. This thing had too direct an impact on combat effectiveness.

But after he had condensed three pure energy strands and taken over ten pills to recover, the Mountain King Crown still showed no movement. Then, perhaps because the waiting time was too long, the screen on the energy door closed directly, and that power began to drag them inside. Ye Zhongming had no choice but to give up and begin their third round of the second stage of trials.

……………………

A commotion broke the silence in the dark cave.

A faint firelight came from the end of the passage, soon reaching the entrance. Then, a shadow with a clattering sound entered inside.

”What are you doing here? Although we are companions, I hate you, and I hate light. Youʼd all better scram.” A hoarse, strange voice echoed in the cave, causing many pairs of scarlet or murky green eyes around to open and stare directly at the intruding figure.

But the figure was unmoved, silent at first, then sneered.

”What are you laughing at?”

That unpleasant voice rose in pitch, its emotions fluctuating greatly.

”Arenʼt you the father of these parasites? Why havenʼt you even noticed that someone has intruded into the divine cave?”

Moments later, the entire Half-Abyss Demon Cave became noisy.
