Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2185: First stage benefits

After making their choice, the energy door returned to its previous state, and the image of the White Dragon Horse slowly appeared.

”Reward points: 49. Furelai points: 55605.”

The White Dragon Horseʼs previous points had been 34. After exchanging for a dragon saddle worth 20 points, it had 14 left. That meant the points it obtained from this trial were 35.

For a traitor dragon clan member who had basically not performed significantly in this battle, achieving these points was already very unexpected to everyone. They could only say that as the trials deepened, the value of each parasite increased, or that bonus points were involved. As for the specifics, no one knew.

”Any ideas?” Ye Zhongming asked his war beast.

Previously, his suggestion had been to exchange for a piece of defensive equipment, and the White Dragon Horse had exchanged for the dragon saddle. But this time, Ye Zhongming did not want to influence it further. After all, only the White Dragon Horse itself knew what suited it best.

The White Dragon Horse looked at the reward pool for a while. Before it could make its choice, that voice began speaking again.

”First stage of trials completed. Reward change: 1 point exchanges for 3 Furelai. Items in the reward pool are at 2% discount.”

Everyone became happy together. Indeed, this trial, whose ultimate purpose they did not know, would not keep them constantly on the edge of death; it had offered a preferential system.

”Selection successful.”
While everyone was pondering how to best utilize this preferential system for greater cost-effectiveness, the White Dragon Horse quickly completed its own choice.

Everyone looked over and saw that this creature had chosen a type of potion for war beasts.

”What are you trying to do?”

Ye Zhongming frowned, looking at the White Dragon Horse with some displeasure.

The potion this traitor dragon clan member had chosen was called ʼReverse Narrative Battle Agentʼ, somewhat similar to a berserker potion, but also very different.

After taking the Reverse Narrative Battle Agent, a war beast could immediately enter its next evolutionary stage. The White Dragon Horse was still in its juvenile period. After taking it, it would immediately become an adult, then gain adult strength for a period before returning to its original state. However, the side effects were very obvious: as it gradually evolved to this stage, the breakthrough would become exceptionally difficult.

Due to its racial characteristics, the traitor dragon clan would definitely become a great expert upon reaching adulthood, meaning surpassing 100,000 Furelai. The more outstanding the individual, the stronger its adult strength would be.

Given the potential the White Dragon Horse had shown so far, it was conceivable that it could very likely break through 100,000 Furelai before reaching adulthood. If that happened, once it became an adult, its strength would increase further, and within its lifetime, it would undoubtedly break through to the peak expert level without question.

For such a promising creature, if taking this potion caused a bottleneck when evolving to the great expert level, or even possibly made it stuck at that stage for life, the loss would far outweigh the gain.

”Relying on just the three of you, you wonʼt be able to hold out until the next reward stage.” The White Dragon Horse did not explain much, only saying this.

So far, only three rounds of trials had passed, meaning the first stage. Although the several people had not been pushed to a desperate point, the battles had been quite difficult.

For example, in the upcoming fourth trial, even relying on Jie Suʼs formation, everyone would still have to fight desperately. But what if the formation could not handle it either?

Since they had chosen to stay and gamble on this opportunity, they needed as many contingency plans as possible. The White Dragon Horse, as a highly intelligent being, understood this.

Ye Zhongming was somewhat silent. In the end, he could only say nothing and acquiesce to this matter.

After all, there was no seven-day, no-reason return policy here.

”When you use it, be cautious.” Ye Zhongming gave a final instruction.

The price of the Reverse Narrative Battle Agent was 20 reward points. After the 2% discount, it was 19. After this, the White Dragon Horse had 30 points left.

The second image displayed was that of Jie Su. His reward points were 102. The points he obtained from this round were 40. His Furelai increased by 7 points, reaching 82591.

”What should I exchange for? Or should I continue saving?” Jie Su wanted to hear everyoneʼs opinions.

White Robe thought for a moment and said, ”Something that can enhance your formation ability? If not, just save them up.”

Ye Zhongming also nodded in agreement with this idea. Naturally, it would be best if he could enhance the power of the formation. If not, 100 points were too few anyway.

Jie Su smiled bitterly and said, ”Even Raini-grade equipment is so expensive and doesnʼt last more than two rounds. This trial is too terrifying.”

After thinking it over, Jie Su spent 14 points after discount to purchase three ʼFull Recovery Time-Release Agentsʼ. This was a potion that allowed the body to recover comprehensively and continuously. If taken before battle, it could serve as a good supplementary agent.

After three rounds, even with Ye Zhongming around, the equipment on the several people was mostly damaged. For the upcoming battles, everyone felt they should not waste points on equipment—to be precise, they would not waste them on Raini-grade equipment. Those things were expensive and did not last more than a few rounds—too luxurious.

Of course, this was just their plan; the specifics would depend on the situation.

White Robe was the third person displayed. Previously, his reward points had been 46. This time, he obtained 45 points, bringing his total to 91 points.

Without the Following formation, it was understandable that he had obtained more reward points than Jie Su. His Furelai became 33513.

White Robe had also intended to exchange for something that could help everyone, but Ye Zhongming and Jie Su stopped him. Jie Suʼs reason was that he had already made exchanges, which were sufficient for the next round. Ye Zhongming said that White Robeʼs points should be used for something else, and it would be better if he himself exchanged instead. After that, they only had him spend 5 points to purchase one ʼFull Recovery Time-Release Agentʼ. The reason was not stated.

”You guys just think my points are too few.” White Robe, left with 86 points, said with feigned dissatisfaction, but in his heart, he knew that his two brothers were saving him money.

”My turn.” Ye Zhongming said with a smile. He was genuinely somewhat expectant about his points; after all, he had killed most of the parasites in this trial.

The image on the energy door gradually displayed Ye Zhongmingʼs appearance. Everyone saw that Ye Zhongmingʼs reward points finally settled at 256.

Ye Zhongming had 46 points left previously, meaning that this time alone, he had obtained a full 210 points!

”Thatʼs impressive!”

White Robe exclaimed in admiration.

In the reward pool, anything that caught their eye was basically above 200 points. Ye Zhongming could now choose something he truly wanted.

The Cloud Peak King looked for a long time. After some thought, he first spent 1 point to purchase the cheapest piece of equipment. Then he spent 9 points to buy two ʼFull Recovery Time-Release Agentsʼ, and after that, bought another one, spending 5 points.

No one understood what he meant by this. Ye Zhongming explained, ”We have all overlooked a problem: can equipment and potions purchased with oneʼs own reward points be given to others? Just because they can be used by others here doesnʼt mean they can be used inside. So I plan to test this.”

”I had White Robe buy one potion: first, to ensure that if the potions are useless to others inside, he still has one for himself; second, to see how much it costs to buy one potion versus two potions with the 2% discount. If buying one potion costs only 4 points, then buying them one by one would save us quite a bit of money. This principle could also be applied to purchasing other rewards. But apparently, the magical existence before us wonʼt give us the chance to exploit loopholes.”
