I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 700: Chapter 7: Specialty: Weak Foot

The match task of [Special Training: Weak Foot] has started, and Chen Zhong checked the task goal. He found that as long as he successfully uses the weak foot to make 20 successful passes, one assist or score a goal, he can increase his weak foot to 4.5 stars.

Facing a team like Almeria, with Chen Zhong’s current strength, making 20 weak foot passes isn’t much of a problem, but using the weak foot to complete one assist or score a goal, that’s a bit challenging.

Moreover, ever since Chen Zhong defeated Iniesta and Xavi to become the 2010 Ballon d’Or winner, there has been a lot of news about him.

Among them, some are good and some are bad. Recently, comments from Manchester City’s Balotelli and Atletico Madrid’s Aguero have increased Chen Zhong’s popularity and attention, and also brought a lot of traffic to Real Madrid.

In this match, Real Madrid is playing away, and before the game, Chen Zhong was asked by reporters about Van Nistelrooy. Francisco and Chen Zhong have discussed the matter, and they can show a welcoming attitude in front of the media.

So, as captain, Chen Zhong smiled and said in front of the camera, ”He’s a very excellent player. We used to attack together; I’ve assisted him, and he has passed the ball to me, and I scored.”

”I remember it was my first season at Real Madrid; it was a Champions League group stage match against Werder Bremen.”

”If he could return to Madrid, I would certainly welcome him.”

Van Nistelrooy and Chen Zhong have had conflicts, reportedly facing off against each other on the training field.

However, later, this rumor was gradually dispelled by their tacit cooperation on the field.

In the news conference before tonight’s match, Mourinho also expressed his opinion. He looked at the camera and smiled and said, ”Regarding Real Madrid transfers, many names were reported. If the player coming is Van Nistelrooy, I would be very happy.”

Mourinho obviously has discussed it with the top management.

Considering Higuain’s injury, Benzema’s poor form, Negredo’s lack of focus, and Morata’s youth.

A striker like Van Nistelrooy is a good choice for Real Madrid from all angles.

Moreover, before joining Bundesliga Hamburg Team, Van Nistelrooy played at Real Madrid for four seasons, in which he performed excellently in the first three seasons and was heavily injured and absent for a long period in the final season.

After thorough consideration, Mourinho is satisfied with the choice of Van Nistelrooy.

During his time coaching Chelsea in the Premier League, Mourinho had faced off against Van Nistelrooy several times and knew his playing style well.

Facing the reporters below, Mourinho smiled and replied, ”I know what you care about. Actually, I know his playing style and character very well.”

”And I have consulted Chen’s opinion. We’ve reached a consensus on this matter. Of course, personally, I’ve never contacted Van Nistelrooy nor Hamburg Club.”

”For me, talking about a player from another team is not the right thing to do. When one day he puts on the Real Madrid jersey and appears in front of everyone, I will speak next to him. But now he is not our player yet.”

”Of course, I still want to express that if he returns to Real Madrid, I will feel very happy. But who will come, we still need time to determine.”

Regarding the news of Van Nistelrooy’s return, many people have analyzed it, some analyses are quite spot-on. If Real Madrid successfully invites Van Nistelrooy back, the Dutchman will bring many goals to Real Madrid. In his first season at Real Madrid (2006-2007 season), Van Nistelrooy scored 25 goals to become La Liga’s top scorer, contributing greatly to Real Madrid’s league victory. In the second season, although he missed many matches due to injury, the Dutchman still scored 16 goals in 24 matches.

However, in the following one and a half years, the fragile knee put Van Nistelrooy in pain.

The United States doctor Richard Steadman, who had treated Van Nistelrooy during his time at Eindhoven, found that Van Nistelrooy’s new injury affected his right knee meniscus and cruciate ligament, thus he must undergo surgery.

The right knee surgery made Van Nistelrooy rest for 8 months, but in the 6 matches he played that season, he still scored 4 goals.

Before signing with Hamburg, Van Nistelrooy was troubled by injuries again.

On September 20, 2009, after a long rehabilitation, Van Nistelrooy finally made a comeback and scored a goal in 10 minutes during the match against Jerez.

Unfortunately, his leg muscles couldn’t withstand the high-intensity match and he had to exit early to rest.

According to private news, Van Nistelrooy wants to return to Real Madrid again, partly because of Kaka. Van Nistelrooy knows the inside story of Kaka’s injury. Once Kaka was considered by many to not reach his past physical level, but during his time at Real Madrid, after a surgery, he returned to his peak.

He is now not as sharp as before, and many believe it is mainly because Cristiano Ronaldo and Chen Zhong occupy his play space, but he is also an important member of the team’s front line.
