I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 693: Chapter 4: Dirty

The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium was completely ignited by Chen Zhong’s goal.

That incredibly dynamic header that soared above everything else made the Real Madrid fans in the stands let out a cry of surprise.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Chen Zhong retrieved the ball from the net and ran towards the center circle, putting psychological pressure on the Atletico Madrid fans.

The match continued.

Real Madrid gradually took control of the game’s pace.

In the 18th minute, Marcelo got the ball again, cooperating with Cristiano Ronaldo on the left, and after getting to the byline with the ball, chose a cut-back to Benzema.

Benzema tried a push shot from ten yards out.

However, De Gea reacted quickly, blocking the ball away.

This scenario helped De Gea regain his confidence, slightly boosting Atletico Madrid’s morale.

Benzema looked back repeatedly, seemingly unable to believe he hadn’t scored.

The game continued, with Real Madrid controlling the pace, and in the 24th minute, Chen Zhong took the ball, dribbled down the field, performed a sharp stop on the left along with body contact, created some space, and decided on a cross.

Cristiano Ronaldo soared high in the penalty area, attempting a bicycle kick, but struck the ball a bit late, and it passed him by.

This scene drew laughter from the field.

Cristiano Ronaldo seems to have an obsession with bicycle kicks, having attempted them several times for both his national team and club, but has never succeeded.

”Real Madrid controls the pace of the game.”

”A rare counter-attack from Atletico Madrid.”

”Aguero has the ball!”

”He falls down inside the penalty area.”

”But the referee shows no reaction.”

Aguero got up from the ground, protesting loudly.

He was feeling very disheartened.

Before the game started, he thought Chen Zhong was his biggest rival, but as the match progressed, he suddenly realized that Chen Zhong didn’t have much time to keep an eye on him.

This left Aguero both surprised and angry.

Surprised that Chen Zhong wouldn’t be entangled with him throughout the match, angry that Chen Zhong wouldn’t be entangled with him throughout the match!

Although Atletico Madrid wasn’t very effective in attack, De Gea’s performance was outstanding after conceding a goal, leading many club scouts to jot down his name.

In the 27th minute, Chen Zhong dribbled past a player in the center and played a through ball to Kaka. Kaka took a shot with spin from the side, but De Gea made a spectacular side save to block it.

A minute later, Chen Zhong orchestrated another attack from the center, passing again to Kaka, who made a diagonal run behind the defense, but his shot attempt was blocked out of bounds by three defenders.

Following Real Madrid’s corner, it accurately found Chen Zhong, whose header was well directed, but De Gea punched it out with both fists.

In the penalty area, Cristiano Ronaldo headed for a rebound shot, but unfortunately, the ball shaved the post and went out of bounds.

”At this phase, Real Madrid’s offensive is extremely strong.”

”But De Gea’s performance is exceptionally excellent.”

”Time and time again, keeping the ball out of the net.”

Diego Simeone, standing on the sideline, relaxed slightly from his earlier stern expression, while Mourinho frowned as he watched Diego Simeone, feeling a reflection of himself in the man.

”Real Madrid’s attack.”

”C. Ronaldo received Chen Zhong’s pass and continued to dribble.”

”Chip pass!”

”Kaka.”

”Finishes a shot at the edge of the penalty area.”

”De Gea punches the ball away.”

Cristiano Ronaldo flashed his big white teeth, Kaka appeared somewhat annoyed, and Chen Zhong, having shaken off two Atletico Madrid players marking him, gave Ronaldo a thumbs-up.

Quickly, Real Madrid launched another assault.

With a series of quick one-touch passes, Atletico Madrid’s players could only restrict but not prevent Real Madrid’s shot attempts.

”Real Madrid’s attack.”

”Chen Zhong with the ball!”

”Backheel pass to Alonso.”

”The passing space instantly opened up.”

”Alonso’s through ball.”

”C. Ronaldo!”

”Shot!”

Cristiano Ronaldo almost found himself in the same spot as his last shot, but again it didn’t test De Gea, who once more made a flying save to push the ball away.

”Be more aggressive,” Diego Simeone shouted loudly from the sideline, signaling the team to play more ”chaotically,” as they needed to escape the current passive situation.

If they continued to be led around by Real Madrid like this, it’s only a matter of time before they concede a goal.

Atletico Madrid’s players on the field understood the coach’s intent and started committing tactical fouls to break Real Madrid’s attacking rhythm.

Even Chen Zhong was tripped up.

”The referee blew the whistle!”

”Chen Zhong really is a tough guy.”

”He immediately got back on his feet.”

”I think he could have lain on the ground for a bit.”

”The referee shows a yellow card!”

”Real Madrid’s free kick.”

Cristiano Ronaldo and Alonso stood over the free kick, while Chen Zhong and other Real Madrid players positioned themselves outside the penalty area. The free kick could be taken as a direct shot on goal or as a tactical play.
