I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 671: Chapter 88: First Collaboration! (Part 2)

”Continuous coordination.”

”Benzema takes the ball again.”

”Teammate moves forward.”

”Pass it again!”

Mourinho watched the field; at this time, Real Madrid was playing the tactics he wanted.

When Benzema took the ball again, Chen Zhong, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kaka, these three top players, showed top-notch positioning and awareness.

They quickly penetrated Villarreal’s defense line.

Villarreal simply couldn’t handle it.

In this situation, as long as Benzema wasn’t too stupid, there wouldn’t be much problem with passing.

In fact, Benzema’s passing level is okay; at least without much pressure, he wouldn’t pass inaccurately. But his choice this time made Mourinho frown slightly.

”C. Ronaldo!”

”Received Benzema’s pass.”

”This pass isn’t great.”

”C. Ronaldo moves sideways with the ball.”

”Shoots outside the edge of the penalty area.”

”Unfortunately, it went over the crossbar...”

Some Real Madrid fans expressed their dissatisfaction in the stands.

Among the three teammates just now, Cristiano Ronaldo was in the worst position; if it had been passed to Kaka or Chen Zhong, the opportunity would have been better.

At least they would be facing the goal directly, with a chance for a direct shot.

But Benzema passed it directly to Cristiano Ronaldo.

This certainly had something to do with the Portuguese giving him passes and opportunities during games.

From a personal perspective, it’s understandable, but from a public perspective, you’re playing with fire.

Even Cristiano Ronaldo, who completed the shot, looked somewhat cautiously at Chen Zhong after his frustration, knowing that if Benzema had passed to Chen Zhong earlier, it would have been a comfortable launch position for Chen Zhong, along with Kaka.

With Kaka’s abilities, he could still stand out, maybe even challenge the goalkeeper one-on-one.

But Benzema just had to pass to him.

Benzema now feels enormous pressure, with many teammates’ scrutinizing gazes falling on him. Even Mourinho on the sidelines looked at Benzema with a serious expression.

In many respects, Benzema isn’t as good as Higuain, but Higuain’s heart is too wild, not one to willingly stay subordinate.

Benzema has the potential in this area, but if he acts this way, then...

”It’s okay...” As Villarreal’s goalkeeper went to retrieve the ball, Chen Zhong passed by Benzema, patting the French center forward’s shoulder, ”The pass was very precise, but I hope you can consider other teammates more often, so the pitch will be filled with applause.”

”I believe when you put on this jersey, it’s for the applause.”

”Come on.” After speaking, Chen Zhong turned around, clapping and encouraging his teammates’ spirits, ”Keep your spirits up, continue, focus.”

Benzema licked his lips, and the initial tension slightly eased, while Cristiano Ronaldo said as he passed Benzema, ”Bro, you can’t do this.”

”Even though I really want you to pass to me, to let me score.”

”But we are a team, we want to win.”

...

”The game continues.”

”Villarreal plays the ball out.”

”Passed to Boerha Bailelo.”

”Benzema!”

”Directly knocked the opponent to the ground.”

”The referee pulls out a yellow card.”

A seemingly routine attack by Villarreal, but when Boerha Bailelo took the ball, something snapped in Benzema, and he directly knocked the opponent to the ground. Though he raised his hands, indicating innocence, the referee still presented him with a yellow card.

”Ha!” Benzema laughed, looking at the referee, ”Now you see, in the first half... woo woo woo!”

Chen Zhong, hearing Benzema’s taunt, immediately covered Benzema’s mouth, then made an apologetic gesture toward the referee, who walked away after glancing at Chen Zhong.

”Hey, Rikam.” Chen Zhong looked at Benzema, with countless thoughts in his mind, unsure how to express them to this kid: ”You’ve already received a yellow card, I hope you pay attention.”

”Also, thank you for standing up for me, but I can handle it myself.”

Benzema stammered and walked away, and Chen Zhong glanced at Benzema, thinking to himself: It seems like this is a tricky guy. If someone can keep him in check, he behaves, but if there’s no one to restrain him, he’s definitely capable of causing trouble.

Benzema’s action seems to have opened Pandora’s box; in the time that followed, physical clashes between the two teams increased significantly.

Marcelo, soon after Benzema’s foul, was also fouled by Villarreal’s players.

It seems they sensed that this method could disrupt Real Madrid’s rhythm.

The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium turned from a football pitch to a wrestling ring, with the match filled with various penalties until it reached nearly the 70th minute.

Not until the referee issued several yellow cards in a row did the Villarreal players become more restrained.

”The referee issues another yellow card.”

”This action, in the first half, or even earlier, wouldn’t have warranted a card.”

”But there have been so many fouls recently.”

”The referee uses this method to express his stance, hoping to control the game.”
