I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 656: Chapter 80: Crushing Victory—Will You Yield? (Part 3)

This is not because Casillas has sobered up, but because he has sensed danger and despair. He simply cannot ”compete” with Chen Zhong.

Once due to contracts, in order to get a higher salary, he threatened the top management with a transfer, which landed him on the ”blacklist”. Then Ramos followed suit, and other players did the same, making this impression even deeper. He even missed the chance to wear the captain’s armband because his image with the top management was not as good as Chen Zhong’s.

Moreover, at Sports City, he returned to the various tiers, where legends of the Monster were widespread, especially after winning the Best Goalkeeper award. Casillas was shocked to find that most young players set their goals or idols as Chen Zhong.

They regard Chen Zhong as a role model, and even young goalkeepers do the same.

Even for those who take him as a role model, he is only one among many, and often even second or third choice.

Finally, in the locker room, Ramos and he are national team teammates, but Ramos is not enthusiastic about supporting Casillas in ”seizing power.”

Perhaps to Ramos, Chen Zhong being the locker room leader is actually fair.

He always keeps the balance...

At least from the experiences of Nacho, Parejo, Callejon, and Granero, he does not pressure the coach due to favoritism, while under his ”suppression.”

Even though some factions have emerged in the locker room, generally speaking, they remain under the same banner.

This has been one of the rare stable moments in Real Madrid’s locker room in recent years.

Casillas is also clearly aware of this, which brought him out of his state of protectiveness and ”being driven by lust.”

...

Chen Zhong never bullied Casillas.

But ever since Cristiano Ronaldo spoke with Chen Zhong, whereas Casillas did not, Casillas found that everyone seemed to keep a certain distance from him.

Even when chatting with Ramos and others.

When some players passed by, Ramos and others would loudly disclose the content of their conversation, as if afraid of being perceived as plotting something with him.

All this made Casillas feel desperate.

In the locker room, after a day’s training ended, everyone was changing their gear, yet no one sat beside Casillas on either side, and this had been happening for days.

He could even sense the covert glances from others.

Casillas looked at Chen Zhong, surrounded by other players.

Cristiano Ronaldo was standing next to Chen Zhong with hands on hips, smiling, while Kaka sat next to Chen Zhong, also smiling radiantly. Alonso was observing Chen Zhong from not far away, displaying an ”aunt-like” smile on his face.

Although not everyone was physically close to Chen Zhong, Casillas could clearly feel that regardless of who it was, they couldn’t help but cast their gaze towards Chen Zhong.

Including himself.

He often paid attention to Chen Zhong’s every move.

As if Chen Zhong were his dear friend, kindred spirit, or brother.

”Chen...”

Casillas stood up, looked at Chen Zhong, and spoke, causing the locker room to quiet down.

Everyone looked at the goalie who had just reached the pinnacle of the world, their eyes seeming to say.

Speak up, Casillas!

Speak up!

You know what you ought to say!

Say it loud!~
