I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 672: Chapter 88: First Time Joining Forces! (Part 3)

After Villarreal couldn’t use their physicality to overpower, Real Madrid gradually took control of the match’s pace. However, during this period, Real Madrid was also eager to overturn the score.

Within 5 minutes, Real Madrid had three chances at goal, but not once did they manage to breach Villarreal’s net.

Diego Lopez seemed like a god in front of goal, repeatedly denying the ball entry.

He successively saved shots from Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Chen Zhong.

”77th minute of the match.”

”Morata substitutes Benzema.”

”Just now, Benzema received a pass from C. Ronaldo.”

”Shot from only 10 yards away, blocked by Capdevila.”

”The coach has completely lost his patience.”

”They’ve chosen to replace Benzema with the young player Morata.”

This is the first time Morata plays alongside Chen Zhong after joining Real Madrid. The two had faced off many times in the youth team period, during which Chen Zhong gave Morata the nickname ’tough kid’, while Morata was the first to call Chen Zhong ’monster’ after a certain match.

”Here he comes!” Chen Zhong looked at Morata, raising his right hand.

After a high-five with Chen Zhong, Morata just nodded without saying much.

Back then, the two were neck and neck, but now they’re worlds apart.

”81st minute of the match.”

”Chen Zhong takes the ball, passes to Kaka.”

”Kaka takes the ball into the penalty area and crosses!”

”Diego Lopez palms it away.”

”Morata!”

Real Madrid’s slick attack, Kaka’s cross after taking the ball is palmed away by Diego Lopez, Morata eagerly steps forward, already envisioning the celebration for his first goal.

However, Morata’s close-range shot is blocked by Diego Lopez, who seems like a god possessed.

The ball flies out to Chen Zhong’s feet, Capdevila quickly closes in on Chen Zhong, assuming a stance ready to block Chen Zhong’s shooting angle with a leg outstretched.

But Chen Zhong had no intention of shooting, lightly tapping the ball sideways.

Cristiano Ronaldo takes the ball, calmly pushes it, and it finds the bottom right corner of the net.

3:2

At that moment, the entire stadium erupted like a volcano. Capdevila looked at Chen Zhong, incredulous!

No way, are you even human!

In this situation, you don’t shoot, don’t give me a block, which damn eye saw that Portuguese guy?

You must have some kind of divine sight!

On the sidelines, Mourinho, seeing the goal, finally felt relieved. He searched the stands for his son’s figure, then pumped his fist in the air as if to say, see, dad’s team is leading.

And this also brought about an unexpected joy.

Villarreal’s coach deemed this provocative, and as a result, received a red card for his heated words...

Morata looked at Chen Zhong, recalling his shot just now, thinking, why didn’t this monster pass to me?

If he passed to me, my balanced feet would surely have scored the goal.

That was practically an open goal!

Damn! Just pass it to me next time!

Years later, Morata rushed to the goalfront, a teammate passed the ball back to him in front of the open goal.

Because his feet were too balanced, Morata couldn’t decide whether to use his left or right foot, missing that golden opportunity.

It was then that people labeled this once-in-a-lifetime genius, who could rival Chen Zhong in youth, with the dual-footed talent tag, setting a precedent in the football world.
