Santiago Bernabeu Stadium

Deportivo La Coruña’s fans expressed their dissatisfaction with boos and thrown debris, trying to disturb the penalty taker.

Real Madrid’s fans were not to be outdone, cheering loudly for Negredo.

Negredo stood at the 12-yard mark, turned to glance at Chen Zhong, then took a deep breath, ran up, and kicked.

The ball flew straight into the goal with one swift motion!

Goal!

1:0

Real Madrid took the lead.

Negredo immediately ran towards Chen Zhong, and they embraced tightly, then ran towards the corner flag surrounded by teammates.

”Very steady.”

”Negredo withstood the pressure.”

”This season, Real Madrid has not determined the team’s first-choice penalty taker.”

”Coach Pellegrini has been hesitating between Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka.”

”No one expected Negredo to take this penalty.”

Before joining Real Madrid, C. Ronaldo, Kaka, and Alonso were all the primary penalty takers for their respective teams. Compared to the two Ballon d’Or winners, Alonso was less competitive.

Pellegrini didn’t want to offend anyone, so he hadn’t decided on the team’s first-choice penalty taker, it was like fostering competition.

If there was a penalty, whoever grabbed it got it.

Initially, there were rumors that Florentino wanted C. Ronaldo to be the team’s first-choice penalty taker, but after the ”top salary gate” incident, nothing further developed.

Now, Pellegrini turned his attention to Negredo.

It seems making Negredo the team’s primary penalty taker might not be a bad idea!

After taking the lead, Deportivo La Coruña was eager to equalize the score, and their actions became increasingly rough during the match.

They repeatedly used ”rough” tactics to vent their anger and disrupted Real Madrid’s rhythm.

Within five minutes, first they knocked over C. Ronaldo again, then Chen Zhong retaliated by knocking over Albares, and then he tackled Kaka, followed by Pepe taking down Guerrero.

In a short time, the Bernabeu seemed to transform into a wrestling arena.

”Calm down!” Chen Zhong realized they couldn’t let the team get bogged down, raised his right arm, and shouted his teammates’ names, and the ball quickly came to Chen Zhong’s feet.

”Chen Zhong takes the ball!”

”A lob pass with one touch.”

”Whoa.”

”What a beautiful arc.”

”Kind of like Beckham.”

When Chen Zhong took the ball, Deportivo La Coruña’s players quickly pulled back their defense. They knew Chen Zhong was skilled at sweeping the ball and then making short passes, but Chen Zhong didn’t let things go as they expected.

The ball made a wide turn in the air and landed somewhat precisely at Kaka’s feet, instantly providing Real Madrid with a great counterattack opportunity.

The Merengues in the stands exclaimed with delight. They had long known that Chen Zhong had honed his long pass skills in Milan, but this was the first time they had seen it at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Meanwhile, online, many fans who hadn’t followed Chen Zhong since his move to Milan also made surprised comments.

”Is this Chen?”

”When did he acquire such a long pass?”

”Interesting, but he can’t earn €12 million annual salary just with that.”

...

Amidst the discussions, Kaka, after receiving the ball, performed a one-two with Pirlo, pulling Deportivo La Coruña’s defensive lineup out of shape.

Pirlo spotted Negredo in an open spot inside the penalty area.

Without stopping the ball, he directly passed it to Negredo, who had already surveyed the situation around him. Negredo didn’t stop the ball, but backheeled it inside the penalty area.

There, Chen Zhong charged like an unstoppable tank towards the penalty area.

With the commentator shouting ”Chen” and the fans exclaiming in surprise.

Chen Zhong took a furious shot on goal!

”Boom!”

The ball roared towards the goal like a cannonball.

Many fans leaned forward slightly, eager to see the final outcome.

Goalkeeper Alan clearly hadn’t adjusted his balance amidst Real Madrid’s continuous front-field play, and could only watch helplessly as the ball flew past him and smashed into the net!

”Beep~”

The referee pointed to the center circle. Goal!

The entire stadium erupted instantly.

”GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLL!”

”GOAL!!!”

”The ball is in!”

”What a super long shot.”

”The goalkeeper had no chance and could only watch the ball go into the net.”

”Brilliant!”

”Absolutely brilliant!”

With only 15 minutes into the match, Real Madrid was already leading by two goals!

The Real Madrid fans in the stands waved their arms and scarves, chanting Chen’s name, their eyes full of anticipation for the future.

Is the new Galaxy Battleship preparing to set sail with a resounding victory in the opening game?

”Real Madrid’s fluent front-field coordination.”

”Negredo displayed his selfless spirit.”

”He built the platform for Chen Zhong.”

”And Chen Zhong didn’t disappoint Negredo’s expectations.”

”He took a direct heavy shot, blasting open Deportivo La Coruña’s door.”

”When did he learn such a heavy shot?”

”No, actually, when did he become so accurate with his shots!”

As the commentator elaborated, Deportivo La Coruña’s coach Lodina held his head in disbelief.
