I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 345: Chapter 28: Guardiola: I Choose Chen

No one understands the value of that shot by Chen Zhong better than Pellegrini on the sidelines.

With the young players of Real Madrid in a panic, Chen Zhong’s super long shot was like a shot of adrenaline to their hearts.

Meanwhile, this adrenaline for Real Madrid, Chen Zhong’s super long shot, was like a bucket of cold water poured over Alcorcon players who were riding high on morale.

The tide has turned!

Facing the aggressive Real Madrid, Alcorcon’s unknown coach made a correct yet ordinary choice, opting for a more conservative playstyle, prioritizing holding the score as the best course of action.

All of this precisely gave Real Madrid the ground to flourish and gave the young players an opportunity to familiarize and integrate.

United as one, they launched attack after attack on Alcorcon’s goal, centered around Chen Zhong.

”Chen Zhong!”

”Breaking through recklessly!”

”Chip pass!!”

”Morata successfully breaks the offside trap.”

”One-on-one!”

”Shoot!”

”The ball is in!”

”2:2”

”Real Madrid has equalized!”

In less than 6 minutes, with a chip pass, Chen Zhong orchestrated an attack. When he has unlimited control of the ball, against a team like Alcorcon, he can become a ”master organizer!”

After scoring, Morata wanted to celebrate.

But was immediately stopped by Chen Zhong grabbing him by the neck, his voice rough and full of anger, ”Get back, what’s to celebrate! It’s just a tie!”

”Quickly, bring me the ball back.”

At the same time, he gestured for the players to return to their half swiftly, expressing his desire for victory with actions, as well as anger for the team conceding two goals.

Florentino, seeing this in the VIP room, showed a satisfied smile. The hunger for victory is what he admires most, the burning fighting spirit, like a whip waving in the air, driving the team forward, maintaining their hunger for victory.

On the sidelines, many journalists who came, even those hastily arriving to capture Real Madrid’s ”Waterloo,” were frantically pressing the shutter.

Though it’s just a King’s Cup match.

What Chen Zhong displayed in this match was enough for them to write about.

Barcelona fervently promotes ”Messi,” while Real Madrid unexpectedly promotes ”Chen Zhong.” The rivalry between them must be equally matched to be interesting.

And everything Chen Zhong demonstrated in this match is enough for them to write extensively.

Of course, the current praise also means that there’s a glaringly obvious sword hanging over Chen Zhong’s head, ready to fall hard if one day his performance doesn’t meet expectations.

In the 37th minute of the match.

Chen Zhong passed the ball from the center to the flank; after Vazquez received it, he charged forward with his head down, as if Chen Zhong was whipping him forward.

Real Madrid, like a tide, submerged Alcorcon’s yellow clay ground.

Vazquez, with a sudden stop, evaded the defending player, and with a chip pass, sent the ball to the center.

Morata and Benzema, at this moment, were just supporting roles, with Chen Zhong as the main focus, launching from outside the penalty area, charging into the box, leaping high, and powerfully heading the ball.

Alcorcon’s players turned sideways, looking up, yet failed to make a decent defensive move.

They watched Chen Zhong leap high, like a god descending, delivering a powerful header.

The ball traced a streak of white light, crashing into the goal.

And poor Alcorcon’s goalkeeper simply had no time to react.

Real Madrid’s series of quick attacks further made Alcorcon’s players understand the difference between a fourth-division team and a top league giant.

After all, a fourth-division team, not even considered a professional league, were mostly semi-professional players, with many even working jobs in the day and training to play in the evening.

When they saw Chen Zhong slam the ball into the goal, the mental barrier they had crumbled instantly, their already shaky belief blown away like sand.

Some players even thought, how did we believe we could score four goals against Real Madrid!

Who gave us this courage, was it because of the Chinese singer Liang?

”2:3”

”Real Madrid has come from behind!”

”Chen Zhong emerged from outside the box, leaping high to head the ball toward goal.”

”At that moment, no one marked Chen Zhong.”

”This is truly amateurish.”

”Of course, even if they did mark him, I believe they most likely wouldn’t have been able to stop him!”

Alcorcon’s players seemed dazed, while Chen Zhong had no desire to celebrate, running straight into the goal to retrieve the ball.

Real Madrid’s players, like little tails, followed Chen Zhong back to their half, once again waiting for the kickoff.

This match today is destined to leave an indelible impression on these young players, and when they return to Sports City, back to Castilla, this impression will further spread among others during regular training and matches.

Most of Alcorcon’s players were already in a semi-dazed state; as semi-professional players, they attack fiercely like a downhill tiger when the wind is on their side but inevitably fall into internal conflict when against the wind.
