Casillas

This match marks the beginning of the new season, and it’s Real Madrid’s first home game. The club pays great attention to it, even inviting ”Bolt the Flyer” to kick off the match.

Real Madrid’s opponent in this match is Deportivo La Coruña, known as ”Super Laco”.

The team’s head coach is Chen Zhong’s old acquaintance, Lodina.

Deportivo La Coruña seems to have realized the difficulty of facing Real Madrid, adopting a 4231 formation that screams ”if we don’t lose, it’s a win”.

Both teams begin to enter the field gradually, and Deportivo La Coruña fans near the player tunnel start shouting provocatively.

”I heard you spent 300 million!”

”Your top salary goes to a 17-year-old kid!”

”In this match, Super Laco will defeat you once again!”

...

The fans of Deportivo La Coruña still hold certain expectations for this match. After all, Real Madrid is a newly assembled team, while Deportivo are already familiar teammates.

And sometimes, in football, chemistry can create miraculous effects.

With the referee’s whistle, the match officially starts.

Chen Zhong takes the ball, quickly dribbles forward, faces two Deportivo La Coruña players, accelerates, and crashes past them, causing the fans in the stands to gasp.

This also leaves the commentators stunned.

”Chen Zhong!”

”Decisive advance!”

”Knocked over the opponent.”

”Continuous dribbling.”

”Is he insane?”

Chen Zhong’s movements clearly catch the Deportivo La Coruña players off guard, as Lodina shouts instructions for players to retreat, and Chen Zhong, after attracting a large number of Deportivo players, decides to send a direct pass to Kaka.

Kaka doesn’t stop the ball, turns immediately, and goes for a direct shot.

”Boom!”

The ball shoots toward the goal like a cannonball.

Goalkeeper Alan makes a brilliant save.

But it’s not over yet.

C. Ronaldo rushes toward the ball from the side, in urgency, Rodriguez swiftly squeezes towards C. Ronaldo.

The Portuguese seems to have been waiting for this moment, as he jumps and falls within the penalty area.

”Beep beep beep!”

The referee blows the whistle, decisively awarding a penalty.

”Penalty!”

”The referee awards a penalty within the first minute of the match!”

”C. Ronaldo wins a penalty for the team.”

”He decisively picks up the ball and wants to head to the penalty spot.”

”But C. Ronaldo is surrounded.”

”It seems Alonso wants to take this penalty, and they are arguing.”

”Negredo on the side is eager too.”

”Pellegrini needs to quickly decide on the team’s primary penalty taker. He can’t continue to hesitate like this.”

On the sidelines, Pellegrini paces anxiously, revealing his indecisive nature right in the first match, as the season has started, and he hasn’t determined the team’s penalty taker.

Alonso snatches the ball from C. Ronaldo’s hands.

And at this moment, Chen Zhong speaks up.

”Hey!”

Negredo, Pirlo, Kaka, C. Ronaldo gather around, with C. Ronaldo being the most eager and enthusiastic.

Alonso is the penalty taker for the Spain National Team and was for Liverpool as well. He looks at Chen Zhong, then at Ramos and other Spanish teammates. But they all choose to turn a blind eye.

After a moment of hesitation, Alonso forcefully places the ball into Chen Zhong’s arms.

”Chen.”

C. Ronaldo calls out, looking at Chen Zhong eagerly, but Chen Zhong just smiles and passes the ball to Negredo.

”I believe in you.”

”You used to take accurate penalties in Castilla.”

”Haha!” Negredo laughs heartily. His eyes were fixated on the ball just now. They have been teammates since the Castilla days, and last season he endured Schuster’s targeting, but still held on waiting for Chen Zhong’s return. He initially wanted to prioritize the team: ”Really giving it to me?”

”Nonsense!”

”You’re number 9, dammit!”

”But if you miss from now on, don’t take them anymore.”

Negredo walks toward the penalty spot with a silly grin, under C. Ronaldo’s ”longing” gaze, receiving the right to take the penalty through Chen Zhong’s favor, away from C. Ronaldo and Alonso.

Damn.

My brother is the boss at Real Madrid!

I’m not afraid at all!

This scene is also witnessed by other Real Madrid players, Benzema first glances steadily at the ball, then looks at Chen Zhong, seemingly pondering some philosophical questions.

And in this match, those like Granero and Callejon, who didn’t have a chance to play, are unusually excited.

Pellegrini gazes at Negredo standing on the penalty spot, wearing the number 9 jersey, once again torn about the choice of a penalty taker.

Whatever, let’s just watch this penalty!
