I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 340: Chapter 26: Boiling with Support

”How many records has he broken now?”

”Just how far can he go!?”

Waking up overnight, the fans who didn’t stay up to watch the game only saw the full screen flooded with Real Madrid news, and the protagonist of this news, however, was Chen Zhong, who had been criticized by the media recently for not being worth 12 million Euros, not worthy of being the captain of Real Madrid!

People who don’t really follow football also started searching for information about Chen Zhong on Baidu, and on Chen Zhong’s Baidu entry, a label of ’record-smasher’ was prominently displayed.

Chen Zhong (Light of Asia) — Baidu Encyclopedia

Sport: Football

Main Awards: La Liga Best Rookie of 07-08 season, FIFPro Best Young Player, Serie A Best Sign-in of 08-09 season, UEFA Europa League Final MVP, Serie A Best XI, FIFPro Best Young Player.

Introduction: Chen Zhong, born on November 21, 1991, joined Real Madrid’s youth training in 2004, and because of his hard work and outstanding talent, he quickly stood out from the beginner group (junior group), and then began to participate in the games of the children’s group A team, directly completing a triple jump.

In early 2007, he joined Castilla and was promoted to the first team by the then-coach Schuster during the summer window, and gradually secured his main position...

The previous introduction was still somewhat normal, but when a series of Chinese records, Asian records, and even world football records were broken later on, countless netizens were completely baffled.

Do we, in China, have such an awesome person?

Of course, some people had already heard about Chen Zhong before, but they weren’t very aware of how awesome Chen Zhong was. After checking Baidu Encyclopedia, they instantly equated Chen Zhong with track and field’s Liu and basketball’s Yao.

Some even opened the post-match press conference of the last game.

In that match, having completed a hat trick and executed multiple high-altitude bombing at Bernabeu, Chen Zhong, facing the cameras, showed a very good spiritual outlook when hearing the reporters’ questions.

When the reporter asked how he viewed the team’s performance in that game, Chen Zhong was not stingy in giving praise: ”Very outstanding, but I believe we can be even more outstanding.”

When asked about Milan’s failure in that game, Chen Zhong pressed his hands together and said: ”Milan is a team with a long history, when I was a child, in my country, the streets were full of red and black jerseys, I also had one.”

”The failure of this game only shows that our lineup change was very successful this time, it doesn’t indicate Milan’s true strength.”

”Of course, beating Milan also gives us some confidence, if we can defeat Milan, then the Champions League title might not be unthinkable either.”

”Hahaha...” When Chen Zhong mentioned the Champions League title, both the reporter and he burst into laughter, and although someone in the comments mentioned Barcelona, Guardiola, Manchester United, Ferguson, and even mentioned the Champions League’s round of sixteen curse.

But no one said there was anything wrong with Chen Zhong saying he wanted to win the Champions League title!

After all, that was the Real Madrid that spent 300 million Euros in the summer transfer window!

Wouldn’t it be weird if they didn’t want to win the Champions League title!

The reporter obviously also understood the feelings of the netizens, so he asked Chen Zhong about the Champions League round of sixteen curse, and asked how he viewed this ”curse”.

Chen Zhong’s face didn’t show any embarrassing expression but was composed and said: ”We must remember one thing, and that is that Real Madrid is still the team that has won the Champions League the most, and we need to maintain respect for it.”

”Regarding the Champions League round of sixteen curse, every team will have its low points, now the team is moving in a positive direction, and soon we will return to the position we should be in.”

”And...” Chen Zhong paused here, looked at the reporter, and smiled: ”In the future, maybe the title of Champions League round of sixteen curse will become a kind of compliment.”

”A compliment for Real Madrid having won the Champions League 16 times.”

The reporter widened his eyes and looked at Chen Zhong, his face filled with extreme surprise.

Does he know what he is saying,

Champions League titles, although Real Madrid has now already won 9 Champions League titles, but that started in 1966, it took a total of 36 years to achieve.

What Chen Zhong is saying now means that during his time at Real Madrid, he still wants to win 7 more Champions League titles?

This statement of his, where does it place the other giants, where does it place Barcelona?

Under Guardiola’s leadership, Barcelona became the first Spanish team to achieve the ”Triple Crown,” and their dominance in the league led many to believe that the future of world football would be trembling under the rule of the ”Cosmic Team.”

You are making such a statement now.

Wait, maybe I misunderstood him, let’s ask again?

”Do you mean, during your time at Real Madrid, the team can win 7 more Champions League titles, or something else?”

”During my time, I will try to help the team win 7 or even more Champions League titles.” Chen Zhong glanced at the reporter, feeling a bit speechless inside.

If he were just an ordinary player, he could brush it off.

But he is the captain of Real Madrid, the team’s leader and flag, he has to firmly answer yes to such questions.

And his statement is likely to cause a new wave of huge waves.

Maybe to outsiders, Chen Zhong’s words are arrogant, but to the Merengue fans, Chen Zhong’s response is exactly what they wanted to hear, even if executing this is extremely difficult, but this attitude is what they love.
