I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 317: Chapter 15: C. Ronaldo and Chen

This was definitely a thrilling match.

The fans watching this match saw a completely different Chen Zhong.

At the end of the first half, Real Madrid had a 4-goal lead, with Chen Zhong scoring 2 goals and assisting Negredo and Kaka.

The fans from Zurich in the stands had already gone silent, realizing the harsh reality.

That black-haired, yellow-skinned monster, there was simply no one who could stop him; every time he advanced in the middle, he pierced through Zurich’s lungs.

The arduous first half finally ended.

During half-time, the players were singing and dancing in the Real Madrid locker room, and Pellegrini couldn’t help but have a faint smile on his lips.

Francisco saw this scene and couldn’t help but say, ”Actually, Chen can fully cover from our penalty area to the opponent’s penalty area.”

”That’s right.” Pellegrini nodded to affirm Francisco’s comment, ”But I need him in that position, at least in the league.”

Francisco glanced at Pellegrini, knowing there was no convincing him.

It’s like some people like sweet and some like salty; it’s a matter of personality.

However, Francisco, who has ”served” three head coaches, also confirmed one thing, which is that Pellegrini would last at most one season. Next season, Real Madrid’s higher-ups are sure to find a coach worthy of the team.

The second half began with Real Madrid’s attack just as fierce, scoring two more goals right at the start.

Negredo completed a hat-trick in this match, looking extremely exhilarated.

When Zurich fell behind by 5 goals, their fighting spirit was completely lost, while within Real Madrid some players started to become anxious.

”C. Ronaldo!”

”He wasted an excellent opportunity.”

”If he had passed the ball, the teammate would definitely have scored.”

The commentator’s voice was a bit regretful, C. Ronaldo seemed to never get into form, not fully integrating into the team.

Lately, there has been a saying that when C. Ronaldo is on the pitch, if a teammate scores and he doesn’t, C. Ronaldo won’t be happy.

In this match, for all 5 goals by Real Madrid, C. Ronaldo didn’t join in the celebrations and even kept a dark face, muttering to himself.

Negredo looked angrily at C. Ronaldo, walked over to Chen Zhong, and said, ”Chen, if he had passed just now, I would have passed it to you, and you could’ve scored your third goal.”

”You can’t keep indulging him like this.”

”You need to let him know who’s the boss in the team.”

Negredo looked seriously at Chen Zhong, who was the captain of Real Madrid, the bearer of the number 10 jersey, the idol of the Sports City, the banner of Bernabeu, and also his close friend.

He was always ”merciless” toward opponents, but too lenient with his own teammates.

Recently, he even took the free kick over from Pirlo, giving C. Ronaldo the chance to perform, and also let him take a penalty to find his scoring touch.

But this kid C. Ronaldo.

Seems to never be ”convinced” by Chen Zhong, still as ”selfish” as ever.

Discontent with C. Ronaldo in the locker room had been very serious, even during meals, C. Ronaldo had to sit alone in the corner.

Even Pepe was dragged into it by them.

”I think I need to let you know who’s really the boss in the locker room.” Chen Zhong looked at Negredo, originally wanting to give him a hard slap on the back, but considering the cameras, he just grabbed his shoulders and shook him twice.

”But, you’re right.”

”After the match, we’ll all get together.”

”Have Pepe talk to him, tell him not to be so selfish while playing.”

”Okay.” Negredo nodded decisively in agreement.

Although C. Ronaldo is a Ballon d’Or winner, having just arrived at Real Madrid he was still a newcomer. Even though Chen Zhong was only 17, C. Ronaldo ”was not qualified” enough for Chen Zhong to personally approach him.

Letting Pepe relay the message was already a sign of giving face to C. Ronaldo.

The match finally settled at 0:5, Real Madrid easily defeated Zurich at their home ground, laying a solid foundation for winning the group.

At the post-match press conference, Zurich’s head coach, facing the cameras, said, ”I did not expect such a result, I initially thought we could have a go against them at home.”

”But Chen was very active in this match, which made it very difficult for us.”

”He is too strong, and everyone is playing around him.”

In an interview, Pellegrini showed his honest nature, instead of discussing the match first, he began by saying, ”Though the matter has passed, I still want to say, I did not say Chen’s abilities are only worth a couple of million Euros. What I meant was, most players can only get that price in salary, but Chen can earn 12 million Euros at Real Madrid, which shows his abilities far exceed his peers.”

Pellegrini had been quite aggrieved recently.

Many people had criticized him online, and even outside, malicious Real Madrid fans would come to ask him about the truth.

He explained over and over again, but still, some believed those unscrupulous media ”lies.”
