I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 336: Chapter 24: Dunk on Your Head! (Part 2)

Countless netizens from China have bestowed the title of ”Cai” Leonardo on this Milan hero.

Pellegrini stood on the sidelines, looking somewhat dazed.

In the past, Chen Zhong had always performed exceptionally well in his tactical system, but compared to this game, he seemed to lag behind.

He was very excited, contributing his strength both in attack and defense.

Meanwhile, Pellegrini also noticed the effectiveness of the team’s high crosses in this game.

The team had a significant advantage in competing for high balls. If...

If they could replicate this against Barcelona, could they also beat them?

”The ball is in again and again and again and again!”

”Chen Zhong! There’s no reasoning with it.”

”Just slam it over your head!”

”This match is simply a nightmare for Thiago Silva.”

”This is the second time Chen Zhong has scored a header over him.”

”Milan needs to think carefully about how to handle this Chen Zhong situation.”

minutes, 3 goals ahead, at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Real Madrid were already assured a victory.

Pato stood on the sidelines, dazed, watching as Chen Zhong scored his second goal. If Milan were crushed by Real Madrid in this direct confrontation this season, then he could almost declare himself out of the running for the Golden Boy Award in the near future.

”How could...”

”How could he be this strong!”

Pato’s heart was wailing; he had put in hard work researching Real Madrid for this game, but Real Madrid had never ”come alive” like this in any other match.

Every one of them seemed to be shining.

Conceding three consecutive goals dampened Milan’s morale, and during this time, Real Madrid launched a relentless offensive.

In the 27th minute, Chen Zhong sent a long pass from the back, the ball drawing a mysterious arc in the air, landing at Kaka’s feet.

This familiar scene evoked mixed emotions among Milan fans. Last season, Chen Zhong often used this inaccurate but high-arcing ”pseudo-Crescent Blade” to break open games.

Kaka, facing his old teammates’ defense, nudged the ball forward with his forehead, trying to break away with speed but failing.

He flashed a bright smile, his white teeth dazzling his old teammates, then made a horizontal pass to the keenly positioned Higuain.

Although Higuain and Negredo didn’t get much camera time in this match, they both did well to create space for their teammates.

Zambrotta was a step behind, watching as Higuain was about to go one-on-one with the goalkeeper, tackled him from behind with a scissor kick, bringing him to the ground.

Instantly, the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium was filled with boos from the fans, and Higuain’s face flushed as he appealed to the referee for a penalty.

However, referee Debruyne refused to award a penalty.

”Hey? Penalty, penalty!”

”We can see it clearly in the slow-motion replay.”

”This definitely qualifies as a penalty-worthy foul.”

”Milan narrowly escaped.”

Because Real Madrid were already 3 goals ahead, most fans didn’t care much about this issue, but Florentino watching the match from the VIP section furrowed his brow.

He recalled UEFA President Platini, who said in an interview that Chen Zhong didn’t deserve a 12-million-Euro annual salary, that he’s just a commander on the field.

He also said that Real Madrid’s 300 million Euro transfer fee was damaging to football and irresponsibly claimed on television that Real Madrid’s accounts had issues without any evidence.

Later, Chen Zhong responded to Platini’s comments with a slide and salute in a match against Zurich.

Platini hasn’t reacted since, which is unusual.

It’s likely that they might trip us up in a Champions League match.

”Damn Platini,” Florentino muttered, knowing that Platini played a significant role in Barcelona’s rise in recent years. He had repeatedly advocated that football should be played like Barcelona and showed them various forms of favor.

Milan’s players showed thoughtful expressions after the referee’s decision, but due to Gattuso’s absence, it had no substantial effect.

In the 30th minute, Granero set up the shot for Chen Zhong after receiving the ball.

Without the slightest hesitation, Chen Zhong unleashed a heavy cannon shot towards the goal.

”Boom!”

The ball blasted towards Milan’s goal.

However, Dida made a flying save, denying Chen Zhong’s hat-trick attempt.

Chen Zhong bit his lip, showing some regret, then made a ”I saw you” gesture to Negredo on the side, followed by a shrug.

Negredo came over and gave him a heavy pat on the shoulder, saying, ”What do you think I am!”

”This is your first hat-trick for the first team; we must help you get it.”

This was already Chen Zhong’s third season with Real Madrid’s first team, yet he hadn’t achieved a hat-trick so far. Just a moment ago, if he had passed the ball to Negredo, it might have been a better opportunity.

But Chen Zhong also got carried away a bit.

He wanted to take a chance with a shot.

Of course, the main reason was that Milan’s defense seemed easy to penetrate in this match.

In the 39th minute, Negredo received the ball with his back to the goal inside the penalty area, with Higuain making a diagonal run, pulling away Milan’s defenders.

Chen Zhong charged forward as Negredo delicately passed the ball into the open space.

Facing the ball, Chen Zhong swung his leg and unleashed a heavy cannon.

”Boom!”

The quality of the shot was exceptionally high.

Both the power and angle were just right.

But it seemed that Dida was also activated by Real Madrid’s relentless offense.

Another miraculous save, pushing the ball out.

The ball landed at Higuain’s feet, and facing the goal from close range, Higuain chose not to shoot but passed it back to Chen Zhong again.

Chen Zhong hit it directly without stopping the ball!

”Boom!”

Nesta made a brilliant block, deflecting the ball out.

”There’s still a chance!”

”Chen Zhong!”

”A high-quality strike!”

”But Milan shut down Chen Zhong’s hat-trick attempt.”

”During this period, Milan’s defense was exceptionally good.”

The sighs of the regretful Real Madrid fans echoed in the stands. They didn’t want to humiliate Milan but just wanted to see Chen Zhong complete a hat-trick.

Meanwhile, Milan’s fans felt conflicted; on one hand, they kind of hoped Chen Zhong would score his first hat-trick, but on the other hand, they didn’t want it to happen against Milan.

After completing a block, Nesta ran in front of Chen Zhong and shouted, ”Kid! You’re not getting three!”

In the second half, who knew, but at this moment, both teams had very clear goals.

Real Madrid: We want to give Chen his first career hat-trick.

Milan: No way! We won’t concede another goal; we even want to turn the game around!

Chen Zhong looked at Nesta and smiled, ”Then you’d better work hard.”

The two exchanged smiles, but then both turned serious.

Seeing this, Negredo ran up to Chen Zhong and said, ”Chen, this won’t do!”

”We can’t go over the ground.”

”Keep slamming them over their heads!”

Negredo glanced at Thiago Silva with his eyes as he said this.

In this match, Chen Zhong had already slammed two goals over Thiago Silva’s head. If he slams a third, well...

I guess there’s nothing wrong with that?

Thiago Silva’s positioning and footwork frequency on defense are actually quite good.

It’s just that when facing strong players, like me, he’s a bit overwhelmed.

Never mind, consider it guidance for the ”younger generation”! It’s better to be beaten by me than by someone else, right!

Thiago Silva: Thank you very much!
