I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 311: Chapter 12: Captain_2

”Yo!” Pirlo walked over, his fox-like narrow eyes looking at Chen Zhong, ”So what do you plan to give us? A Champions League trophy?”

”Hahaha.”

”That’s quite uncertain, but if there’s a chance, I wouldn’t mind it.”

Chen Zhong smiled at Pirlo and Kaka. The two of them came over today because they were worried Chen Zhong might act impulsively. After all, the season had just begun, and if players and coaches were at odds, how could Real Madrid aim for a championship?

The league has the Cosmic Team Barcelona, and the Champions League has Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Inter Milan, Manchester United, and many other strong opponents.

No team can reach the top amidst internal conflict; the team and coach must be united.

And Real Madrid’s ”heart” is actually quite simple, it’s tied to Chen Zhong. If Chen Zhong is happy, everything’s fine; if he’s capricious, everything’s doomed.

After Pirlo and Kaka left, Chen Zhong restrained his smile. He felt a bit exhausted now, but also thought Pellegrini’s behavior was quite normal.

Even coaches with a bit of emotional intelligence wouldn’t maintain a ”cold” face on the training ground, giving off a dead vibe that drives people away at a time like this.

He should at least act like ”nothing happened,” rather than this ”storm’s brewing” stance.

Even a maverick like Mourinho, when dealing with his players, would ”swallow his pride” and establish a good relationship with key players.

For example, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Mourinho would secretly meet and tell his girlfriend, you must ensure his mental and physical well-being, keep him happy and cheerful, so we can win games.

This used to make Ibrahimovic laugh uncontrollably.

After training ended, Chen Zhong, seeing Pellegrini still unmoving, felt a wave of exhaustion.

I’m just 17, but I have to coax this ”old man.”

The world is broken, little Chen patches it up.

When Chen Zhong walked towards Pellegrini, all the players’ eyes turned to him.

Pellegrini noticed Chen Zhong approaching, and the stiff expression on his face finally melted away like an iceberg.

He was actually like many people who aren’t good at socializing, seemingly difficult to get along with, but once you greet him and truly start a conversation, you’ll find that this person isn’t bad at all, mainly, you need to break through his outer shell first.

”Chen.”

”About the recent issues...” Pellegrini looked at Chen Zhong, not knowing what to say. He had just expressed some genuine opinions in an interview, but they were twisted like that in the end.

It’s terrifying being at a top club.

I want to go back to a small team.

Chen Zhong looked at Pellegrini’s bewildered expression and smiled wryly.

17-year-old Chen Zhong proactively walked over to 56-year-old Pellegrini, reached out and patted the dust off Pellegrini, and said with a smile, ”I understand it all.”

”For matters like this in the future, I think you can consult Francisco’s opinion more.”

”You just need to focus on handling the team’s tactical issues.”

If it were other coaches, like Mourinho or Guardiola, they would immediately see it as a takeover.

But Pellegrini sighed in relief. He really wasn’t good at handling complicated interpersonal relationships and media, and today hadn’t been great for him.

People close to him seemed to be blaming him, calling him a big fool.

Now that Chen Zhong said this, he felt a sense of relief.

Real Madrid, in the eyes of ”outsiders,” is a top club, but for the players and coaches, coaching or playing in such a top club is like walking on thin ice; any slight misstep results in overwhelming criticism.

Pellegrini restrained the expression on his face, becoming ”inaccessible” again.

Chen Zhong saw this and sighed helplessly, stepped forward, and whispered, ”Hug me.”

Pellegrini, although unsure what was happening, still stepped forward and gave Chen Zhong a hug proactively. To outsiders, the relationship between the two seemed very harmonious.

Seeing this, the players’ previously restless hearts settled down, and the club staff also breathed a sigh of relief.

They had just gone through a terrible season and were really fed up with internal strife.

And in some inconspicuous corners, even distant buildings, high-end cameras captured this moment.

Many cameras make it feel like the photo was taken right next to you, but actually, they might be separated by one or two buildings or a few streets; this technology has gradually been used by paparazzi in China.

The hug between Pellegrini and Chen Zhong indicated there were no issues between them, and Real Madrid’s locker room was problem-free.

Another great scene of ”harmony between generals and ministers!”

...

At night, Real Madrid held a press conference in the meeting room.

The reporters below were packed, with journalists from the World Sports Newspaper, Daily Sports, Marca, and Diario AS undoubtedly sitting at the front.

Everyone was vying to ask questions, and Chen Zhong answered them all very reasonably.

Florentino, who came to the scene because of his unease, saw the handsome-looking, tall-statured Chen Zhong confidently facing the cameras, and a trace of appreciation flashed in his eyes.
