Ghost Catching System

Chapter 42: Chapter 42 What is a Room?_1

Indeed, Ghost Ren Hanxue’s Yin Qi was very strong, yet there was not a trace of murderous aura, meaning she hadn’t killed anyone.

Ke Ke peered out from behind her scared father, her little head poking out. ”Then... then why are you haunting our house?”

Ren Hanxue pointed at the middle-aged man. ”This man disturbed my spiritual cultivation. I couldn’t find my way home, so I could only stay here.”

The middle-aged man became agitated, his voice trembling, ”I already put you back where you belong! Why are you still haunting me?”

Chu Hao also looked at Ren Hanxue. ”You’ve been put back, yet you’re still clinging on. I think you’re just spouting nonsense. This Taoist Master is about to annihilate you.”

Ghost Ren Hanxue’s complexion changed, and she immediately knelt. ”I have unspeakable hardships. Please show mercy, Taoist Master.”

As expected, there was something unusual about this S-Level Mission.

Chu Hao demanded, ”Speak. If you don’t, this Taoist Master will finish you off.”

Ren Hanxue’s face looked pained. ”I was a sacrificial servant girl, and I escaped from an ancient tomb. I cannot go back. If they catch me, I will lose my life.”

Ancient tombs... sacrificial servant girls...

Chu Hao’s expression softened considerably. This Ren Hanxue was indeed pitiable; such things were common in ancient times.

”Who wants your life?” Chu Hao asked.

Ren Hanxue’s voice trembled slightly as she said, ”Great General Bai Qi.”

”Damn it!”

Not only was Chu Hao startled, but the middle-aged man and Ke Ke were also shocked.

Bai Qi!?

From the Qin Dynasty, a renowned general under Emperor Qin Shihuang, infamous for his countless massacres. He had beheaded as many as 180,000 people and was known to have buried 400,000 alive. In total, Bai Qi was responsible for well over a million deaths, and that was just an incomplete tally of his killings. According to historical records, a total of two million people died in battle during the Warring States period, and Bai Qi accounted for half of them. He was an undisputed butcher of men.

Chu Hao broke into a cold sweat. So this is an S-Level Mission? It couldn’t be that I’m supposed to raid Bai Qi’s lair, could it? System, come out! I promise I won’t beat you to death!

Chu Hao asked, ”You mean to say, Bai Qi is still alive?”

Ren Hanxue nodded, her face filled with terror. ”The ones chasing me are not General Bai Qi himself, but one of his generals.”

The middle-aged man’s face turned unsightly. ”Then having you stay in my house, aren’t you putting me in danger?”

Ren Hanxue’s voice faltered. ”I had no choice. I could only stay in a place with many people.”

Chu Hao suggested, ”This Taoist Master will perform a soul deliverance for you then.”

Ren Hanxue shook her head. ”My body is still inside the ancient tomb; they poured mercury into my head. They also bound one of my Three Souls and Seven Spirits there, so I cannot be reincarnated.”

Nearby, Ke Ke’s eyes turned red. ”Daddy, this sister is so pitiful. Can we let her stay, please?”

The middle-aged man almost coughed up blood. This kid is really trying to get me killed! This is a Ghost, and one linked to Bai Qi, the Butcher! Isn’t she practically asking for her dad to die?

Chu Hao thought for a moment, then asked, ”That being the case, what do you plan to do?”

Ren Hanxue became despondent. ”I will leave immediately. I definitely won’t come back to disturb them.”

Chu Hao’s mind stirred. Since it’s a mission, there’s a chance to gain Experience Points. So what if it’s Bai Qi? I’ve got the System; I’ll take him on!

Chu Hao said, ”From today onward, you shall follow this Taoist Master. When I have time, I’ll help retrieve your body from the ancient tomb.”

Ren Hanxue was overjoyed, kowtowing repeatedly. ”Thank you, Taoist Master! Thank you!”

Chu Hao asked, ”What’s the story behind this Stone Dagger?”

Ren Hanxue explained, ”There was an earthquake, and the mountain cracked open. A surge of water flooded the ancient tomb. I attached my spirit to the Stone Dagger and escaped.”

So that’s how it was.

With the issue resolved, Ke Ke, the little loli, excitedly hugged Chu Hao’s thigh. Standing at around 1.4 meters, she was exceptionally pure and delicate, with a surprisingly well-developed figure for her age.

”Big brother, you’re so amazing!” Ke Ke’s eyes glittered with admiration.

Chu Hao waved his hand dismissively. ”This is nothing. When this Taoist Master fought the Ten Thousand Year Old Zombie, it was far more intense.”

This young girl’s development is rather abnormal, he thought. Her chest rubbing against me is making me itch.

The middle-aged man felt extremely uncomfortable watching this but still said, ”Thank you, young master. Our home is finally peaceful now.”

However, Ren Hanxue shook her head and said, ”The one harming you is not me, but someone else.”

”Ah!” The man was stunned.

Chu Hao was puzzled. ”Then who is it?”

Speaking of this, Ren Hanxue blushed. ”It’s seven female spirits. Every night, when he falls into a deep sleep, they frequently engage in intimate activities with him.”

Chu Hao was speechless.

The middle-aged man was also speechless.

His face changed. ”I was wondering why I kept having wet dreams recently; it scared me so much I rushed to the hospital for a check-up.”

Ke Ke asked, ”Daddy, what are ’intimate activities’? What are ’wet dreams’?”

The middle-aged man’s face flushed red, and he scolded, ”Children shouldn’t ask so many questions.”

Ke Ke pouted defiantly. ”Hmph! If you won’t tell me, I’ll look it up online.”

The middle-aged man’s face darkened.

Chu Hao couldn’t help but laugh. ”Uncle, you have quite the fortune with women, huh? Seven Female Ghosts... tsk tsk, they must take turns.”

The middle-aged man said awkwardly, ”Don’t joke, young master. Two might be manageable, but seven would be the death of me.”

He then whispered, ”But really, tsk tsk... those seven Female Ghosts are quite something.”

Chu Hao cleared his throat. ”Uncle, you must have something special about you; otherwise, why would seven Flirtatious Ghosts pick you?”

The middle-aged man looked troubled and whispered, ”Actually, believe it or not, I’m over twenty centimeters.”

Chu Hao’s eyes widened with envy.

Damn! When will I grow to twenty centimeters?

”Daddy, what’s ’twenty-two centimeters’?!” Ke Ke, that girl, had appeared out of nowhere.

The middle-aged man glared at her. ”Go back to your room and do your homework! Why do children ask so many questions?”

Ke Ke pouted, indignant.

Chu Hao said, ”Looks like we’ll have to wait until tonight to resolve this.”

The middle-aged man was pleased and hurriedly said, ”Then thank you, young master. Once this is resolved, there will definitely be a reward for you.”

Chu Hao nodded. ”I need to find a place to hide. The Yang Qi I carry is too strong and could attract attention.”

Unexpectedly, Ke Ke hugged Chu Hao’s thigh again. ”Big brother, you can hide in Ke Ke’s room!”

”Absolutely not!” the middle-aged man said sternly.

Ke Ke’s eyes brimmed with tears, looking like she was about to cry. ”You’re biased! I want big brother to help me with my homework! Daddy, if you keep this up, I’ll go find Mommy!”

The middle-aged man sighed in resignation and relented, ”Alright, alright.”

「Later that evening」

After dinner, the middle-aged man went to sleep.

Chu Hao, meanwhile, slipped into Ke Ke’s room. ”Ke Ke, weren’t you supposed to do your homework? Big brother will help you.”

Ke Ke looked at him disdainfully. ”Hmph! Who wants to do homework? Big brother, I want to ask you, what are ’intimate activities’?”

Chu Hao was at a loss for words. ”It’s... uh... just doing things in a room.”

The little girl looked at him with scorn. ”Don’t think I don’t know. It’s just men and women enjoying each other, isn’t it?”

Chu Hao was dumbfounded. A wave of sheer exasperation washed over him.
