Ghost Catching System

Chapter 34: Chapter 34 Nine-infant Ghost_1

Along the way, the silver-haired man and his three companions were somewhat numb from shock. They hadn’t even had a chance to act. No matter what kind of ghost it was, Chu Hao alone took care of it.

”This is one tough guy,” the tall, chubby guy said, gulping.

The silver-haired man had to admit it; the opponent’s strength was overwhelming. In their eyes, the evil ghosts that were normally difficult to handle were nothing in front of Chu Hao.

Finally, they fought their way to the thirteenth floor, which was pitch-dark.

Chu Hao immediately felt that the yin energy here was several times stronger than anywhere else.

In the darkness, a hand grabbed Chu Hao’s ankle, startling him and causing him to stab reflexively with his sword.

”AH!!!”

The hand that grabbed him was not a ghost, but a person! By chance, Chu Hao’s stab landed right on his buttocks. Chu Hao immediately felt awkward.

”Yue Feng!”

The other four—the silver-haired man, the tall chubby guy, Little Ying, and the other companion—seeing who had been stabbed, showed horrified expressions and quickly went over.

Yue Feng, a man of about thirty years old, was covered in blood and had obviously suffered serious injuries. But the serious injuries on his body were nothing compared to the wound on his buttocks. He couldn’t even speak while pointing at Chu Hao.

Chu Hao awkwardly said, ”I’m sorry, I thought you were a ghost. I was too nervous.”

Yue Feng, with a pained expression, still said, ”Quick... go save Old Yuan, he’s fighting that thing.”

The silver-haired man said, ”Little Ying, you protect Yue Feng. The rest of us will go find Old Yuan.”

”Yes,” the ponytailed girl, Little Ying, said.

Feeling quite embarrassed about stabbing the man’s buttocks, Chu Hao knelt down and said, ”The yin energy inside you is heavy. Let me help you expel it.”

Little Ying exclaimed happily, ”You have a way? Such high-level yin energy isn’t so easy to expel.”

Chu Hao waved his hand and said, ”Such a degree of yin energy doesn’t exist in the presence of this Taoist Master.”

Who is this guy? He talks so big, Little Ying thought.

Yue Feng, however, had lost all hope. Within a short time, the yin energy would truly invade his internal organs, and he would be a broken man.

”It’s no use, I know how serious my injuries are,” Yue Feng said, disheartened.

”If I say I can save you, then I can save you.”

After purchasing an Exorcism Talisman and reciting the command, the talisman paper ignited, expelling the yin energy from Yue Feng’s body. His pale face finally improved somewhat.

”This... it’s expelled just like that?” Little Ying said, her face filled with shock.

Yue Feng was also in disbelief. Expelling yin energy wasn’t such an easy task and required time.

However, Chu Hao had done it with just one talisman.

”DING... Host has successfully pretended to be profound, gaining 10 Pretentiousness Points.”

With his hands behind his back and speaking in a calm tone, Chu Hao, exuding the air of a lonely master, said, ”What is this bit of yin energy! In the past, this Taoist Master even expelled the yin energy of a millennia-old Drought Fiend.”

Little Ying couldn’t help but say, ”Yin energy! Isn’t it corpse energy?”

Chu Hao glared at her and said, ”Don’t mind these details.”

Little Ying: ”...”

Just then, that unlucky child ghost appeared again, tugging at Chu Hao’s trouser leg. ”Good Taoist priest, good Taoist priest, please save my mother.”

Chu Hao said to Yue Feng, ”You two get out of here quickly.”

Having said that, he walked towards the depths.

Yue Feng said with a bitter look, ”Sigh... it’s no use, we can’t leave. This hospital is full of evil ghosts. We’re all going to die here.”

Little Ying said excitedly, ”Don’t worry, Feng-ge, all the evil ghosts from the first floor to the thirteenth floor have been exterminated.”

Yue Feng was flabbergasted and exclaimed, ”How is that possible! There were so many evil ghosts.”

Little Ying looked on with admiration at the spot where Chu Hao had disappeared and said, ”It’s the man who saved you. He alone exterminated all the ghosts in the entire building.”

”What!!” Yue Feng was completely shocked. With so many ghosts, it would take a long time not just to kill but even to capture them, and yet one person had exterminated them all?

At that moment, the silver-haired man and the other two had already rushed deeper inside, only to see Old Yuan stumbling around, covered in blood.

”Old Yuan, are you alright?” The tall, chubby guy helped Old Yuan to his feet.

Old Yuan hastily asked, ”Just you three came?”

”Yes!”

Old Yuan was in despair and said, ”We’re in big trouble. The intelligence was wrong. We can’t handle this thing. We need to evacuate quickly.”

The tall, chubby guy quickly asked, ”What about the others!!”

Old Yuan coughed up blood and said, ”Let’s talk outside. Whoever can get out is lucky.”

The silver-haired man wasn’t convinced. He had been beaten by Chu Hao before he even had a chance to show his true strength, and now they were retreating! Of course, he wasn’t willing to let it go.

The silver-haired man said calmly, ”Don’t worry, Old Yuan. I can unleash the power of a single strike from the Three Sun Sword.”

Old Yuan took a glance at him, almost failing to recognize the silver-haired man. What had happened to his face? It looked as though he had been brutally beaten up.

Grinding his teeth, Old Yuan said, ”Alright, you go and try. If it doesn’t work, leave quickly.”

The silver-haired man nodded and said to the other two, ”Cover me.”

CRACK! CRACK!

In the darkness, aided by the moonlight, they could see something approaching. When it appeared, everyone gasped in horror.

It was a woman. Her belly was completely split open, and her ribs splayed out, resembling a gruesome, open ribcage. She was bloody and had nine human heads, all ghastly and bloodstained. Their eyes were rolling upward as they emitted a shrill, piercing laugh.

”The Nine-infant Ghost!!”

The three gasped.

The Nine-infant Ghost, as recorded in the Ghost Sutras, is a very rare type of specter. It is both a ghost and a monster.

It is formed by nine highly ranked evil ghosts possessing a pregnant woman, using the unborn child to transform into nine demonic fetuses.

The Nine-infant Ghost was only newly formed, but with continuous evolution, it could potentially become the Nine-infant Demon, the Water-fire Creature of myth.

By then, it wouldn’t just be them; the entire world would suffer devastating carnage.

”How... how could there be a Nine-infant Ghost here?” The tall, chubby guy’s face turned ashen white.

”Attack!” the silver-haired man shouted.

The other two pulled out the Ink Dipper Net and threw it over the Nine-infant Ghost.

The silver-haired man bit his tongue, spurting a mouthful of blood from the tip onto his sword, turning its blade a translucent red, as if it were burning steel.

”Kill!”

The silver-haired man thrust his sword quickly and fiercely.

One of the Nine-infant Ghost’s heads was pierced and shattered, but before the silver-haired man could make his next move, the other eight heads opened their gaping jaws and bit viciously into his body.

”AH!” the silver-haired man screamed in agony.

”Song Lou!” the tall, chubby guy exclaimed in shock.

Song Lou yelled, ”Quick, use the Yin-Yang Net!”

The two hurriedly cut their wrists with daggers, letting the blood drip onto the Ink Dipper Net. It sparked and sizzled, and the Nine-infant Ghost emitted a dreadful scream.

Suddenly, a cold voice from the darkness said, ”Seventh District does have some skills, but this is where they end. It was not easy for me to obtain the Nine-infant Ghost. I can’t have you killing it.”

BANG!

A Douli Man appeared in front of the tall, chubby guy, his hand piercing sharply and powerfully right through the man’s chest.

”Fat guy!!” everyone cried out in alarm.
