Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 38: Chapter 38: The Beginning of the Scandal

Song Chi broke the silence, saying, ”The dishes are served, let’s eat.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

The two quietly ate for a while without speaking.

After half a bowl of rice, Zhou Yun finally asked, ”You mentioned earlier that Zhao Qin didn’t go to the hospital because of a sudden heart attack, then what was the cause?”

Song Chi suddenly smiled.

”Are you sure you want to hear?”

”I came here just to hear this, can you stop beating around the bush?” Zhou Yun glanced at Song Chi lightly.

The two seemed to tacitly forget the silence from just now, reopening the lively interaction and resuming their banter.

Song Chi said, ”I heard that he was sent to the hospital last night after going too far with someone.”

Zhou Yun was bewildered and it took a moment to understand what ”going too far” meant.

For such topics, Zhou Yun didn’t know how to respond for a while.

A fleeting spark of confusion flickered in her eyes, like a flame in the night breeze.

Song Chi said, ”You’ve heard about Zhao Qin before, haven’t you?”

Zhou Yun furrowed her brows and asked, ”No, why? Is there something I should have heard?”

Song Chi pondered for a moment and said, ”He’s quite famous for some things; if you ask around, you’ll find out that he often parties with many female artists in the industry. After all, his image is not bad and many people like him for that. Not to mention he holds a hot variety show like ’Geology Talk’.”

Zhou Yun responded with an ”oh.”

”I don’t know him, I met him for the first time yesterday.”

Song Chi said, ”It’s better to keep your distance in the future; getting too close may lead to rumors.”

”That’s really idle,” Zhou Yun picked up her glass and took a sip of orange juice.

”But, Song Chi, why did you want to have dinner with me? It can’t just be to apologize, can it?” Zhou Yun suddenly asked.

Song Chi was caught off guard, opened his mouth, but didn’t manage to say anything.

Zhou Yun’s smiling face bloomed before his eyes.

Having seen too many beautiful women in the entertainment industry, they were never monotonous, but none could captivate his attention like Zhou Yun did right from her appearance.

Song Chi couldn’t deny the unexplainable uniqueness that touched his heart.

Yet Song Chi hadn’t expected that he, like a teen, would be frequently at a loss for words, feeling like redoing himself from scratch.

”Wanting to meet in person and get to know you, is this reason acceptable?” Song Chi asked.

Zhou Yun nodded, ”Of course, it’s my honor to be invited by a celebrity. I’m just worried about being photographed again and ending up trending.”

”Speaking of which, didn’t we say that we’d take a selfie and post it on Weibo ourselves today?” Song Chi picked up his phone, ”Shall we take it now?”

Zhou Yun asked, ”Are we really posting on Weibo?”

”Mhm,” Song Chi nodded, ”It’s better to post it ourselves than to be secretly photographed.”

”Wouldn’t your fans be very upset?” Zhou Yun asked.

”That’s their issue,” Song Chi said.

”Aren’t you afraid of losing fans?” Zhou Yun asked again.

”That’s my company’s issue,” Song Chi responded.

”Then what is your issue?” Zhou Yun curiously asked.

Song Chi said, ”It’s about not considering anyone else’s attitude, only considering what I like.”

”You really are fearless when you’re famous,” Zhou Yun shook her head and sighed.
