Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 2: Chapter 2 The Beginning of the Scandal: 02

”You really haven’t dated Song Chi?” Zhou Lan’s disappointed tone hit her straight in the face.

Zhou Yun said, ”I don’t even know him.”

Zhou Lan let out a long sigh, ”I knew it, how could someone like Song Chi fall for you.”

Zhou Yun glared with wide eyes, ”Are you attacking me personally? What’s wrong with me? With my fair skin, good looks, and knowledge, who wouldn’t fancy me? Do I need someone else’s approval?”

”Alright, alright, if there’s no romance, let’s leave it at that.” Zhou Lan sighed deeply again. Clearly, she was so disappointed that she lost even the interest to talk to Zhou Yun. After a two-second silence, she suddenly asked, ”Then how did you two get caught on camera? I saw the photos online, you two entered the hotel one after the other, and even went into the elevator together.”

Zhou Yun: ”What the hell? I just bumped into him at the hotel yesterday, it was a coincidence, and I just greeted him in the elevator.”

”Go online and see for yourself,” Zhou Lan said, ”If you two aren’t dating, they’ll probably issue a clarification statement soon, wait!”

Her voice all of a sudden rose sharply, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

”We must issue a statement quickly too, otherwise, it’ll look like we’re deliberately creating hype!” Zhou Lan said, ”Enough, I’m not going to talk to you about this anymore, hanging up.”

After saying that, Zhou Lan hurriedly hung up the call.

After hanging up, Zhou Yun saw several unread messages on her phone.

Most were asking about her and Song Chi.

Zhou Yun didn’t want to reply to any, directly going online to check on herself and Song Chi, and the current trending headline was shockingly ”Real Identity of Song Chi’s Girlfriend Exposed,” Zhou Yun’s name wasn’t even mentioned.

But her name was already on the Weibo hot search.

Clicking into it, the very first real-time Weibo post read: Zhou Yun? Where did this nobody come from, trying to ride on my brother’s coattails?

Zhou Yun, feeling her eyelids twitching as she read it, really wanted to teach this kid a good lesson.

From a young age, Zhou Yun had never followed the path of a demure lady; she fought in elementary school more fiercely than the boys, and although she never got physical as she grew up, her temper hadn’t gotten any smaller.

In short, her temperament was inversely proportional to her image and aura.

But those marketing accounts had posted photos, and Zhou Yun clicked through each one, seeing that they were indeed photos of her and Song Chi.

Even she herself hadn’t realized that she had been in the same frame with Song Chi for such a long time.

Whether it was the parking spot, entering the hotel one after another, or being in the elevator.

Who knows who took these photos, there wasn’t a single ambiguous movement or expression between the two, but somehow, they managed to create an illusion that the two were intentionally displaying a secretive romance.

The most awkward part was that she and Song Chi had the same phone case.

This was also the angle that the marketing accounts heavily played up.

For example: The top celebrity Song Chi has a girlfriend that he can’t go public with, so he can only secretly share the same style of phone case with her.

...

The goddamn same style of phone case.

Zhou Yun looked at her phone case with the words ”Wildly Successful” on it and felt irritated, quickly removing her phone case and tossing it aside.

Right at this moment, Yuk Chu called.

”You still have the nerve to call me?” As soon as Zhou Yun picked up, she spoke fiercely, ”Have you seen the trending topic? If not for the phone case you gave me, would I be in such a mess?”

Yuk Chu was a friend Zhou Yun made after becoming an actress, also an actress; Zhou Yun’s first show was shot with Yuk Chu. Neither of them were the lead actresses, but secondary characters, which brought them closer.

Yuk Chu apologized, ”Didn’t I rush to call and own up to my mistakes? My bad, my bad.”

Actually, when Yuk Chu gave Zhou Yun that phone case, it was when she was buying one for herself and thought the words ”Wildly Successful” were a good omen, so she got one for Zhou Yun too.

Zhou Yun wasn’t really angry, she huffed lightly and said, ”You definitely owe me a meal for this mess. I was having a nice dream and was rudely awoken by a call from my agent.”

Yuk Chu asked, ”Are you still at the hotel?”

”Yeah,” Zhou Yun said, yawning, ”What an undeserved disaster, I still need to go to the set and shoot this afternoon.”

Yuk Chu said, ”Then be careful by yourself. With the current public attention, there must be lots of paparazzi lying in wait for you.”

”Lying in wait for me for what? If they’re going to stake out anyone, it should be Song Chi. It’s so boring. One coincidence and they’re making such a big fuss and spouting nonsense.”

Yuk Chu laughed, her voice clear and melodic, ”Judging by your spirited cursing, you should be fine. I won’t keep you then, I just called to check on you. The director is calling me, I’ve got to hang up.”

”Alright, go ahead.”

After hanging up the call, Zhou Yun didn’t want to look at her phone anymore and tossed it to the side, collapsing back onto the bed.

A scandal?

With Song Chi?

She earnestly recalled last night’s encounter with Song Chi in the elevator; his face was indeed handsome, eyes were eyes, nose was a nose, features were handsome and he had a youthful charm.

If she really dated him...

Zhou Yun let out a self-deprecating laugh, where would she find the energy for dating now?
