Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: The Beginning of Scandal: 01

Last night when I bumped into Song Chi in the elevator, Zhou Yun still greeted him with a smile.

After all, he’s now a top star, his paycheck for one film is worth ten of mine, if you use the old saying, he’s a hot fried chicken, in today’s terms, Song Chi is the king of streaming traffic, the fighter jet among top stars.

Who could have known...

”You’re dating Song Chi?!!”

Early in the morning, agent Zhou Lan called, her voice at least eight decibels higher, making Zhou Yun subconsciously want to chuck her phone away.

She opened her eyes groggily and said weakly, ”What the hell?”

At this moment, she had no idea what had happened.

Zhou Lan said, ”Don’t play dumb, you guys were captured on camera.”

Finally regaining some awareness, Zhou Yun asked, ”Captured what?”

More than the inexplicable ”you guys were captured on camera,” Zhou Yun was more surprised by Zhou Lan’s tone.

”Why are you so agitated?”

Zhou Lan said, ”Do you have any idea, within this one hour you’ve topped the Weibo hot search, several brands have called me wanting to collaborate with you.”

Hearing this, Zhou Yun finally woke up completely.

”Endorsements?”

”Not endorsements, they want you to promote their products, and the pay isn’t small,” Zhou Lan said, ”You could make the equivalent of one film’s paycheck.”

Zhou Yun’s eyes immediately sparkled.

Unlike Song Chi, Zhou Yun was just a newbie actress who had only done a few films and was relatively unknown, exactly what you’d call a third-tier actress.

So-called third-tier actresses referred to artists like Zhou Yun, who could find work but couldn’t earn much, essentially unknown artists.

In the showbiz world of fame and fortune, Zhou Yun worked hard all year filming and participating in various commercial performances and events, but none of it added up to even a fraction of what Song Chi earned for one movie.

The reason Zhou Yun entered the entertainment industry in the first place was because it was quick money, and she needed it to pay off debts.

”Wait a minute.” Zhou Yun remained calm in the face of great temptation, ”First clarify, what’s this about me dating Song Chi?”

Zhou Lan said, ”You’re still hiding it from me? The paparazzi have caught it all, and I was wondering why you’ve been acting off these days, turns out you’re in love! Zhou Yun, how many times have I told you, if you’re dating, you have to report to the company, look at us now, completely caught off guard!”

Zhou Lan’s words sounded oddly contrived.

Although Zhou Lan’s words seemed to be rebuking Zhou Yun, through the phone, Zhou Yun could feel Zhou Lan’s overwhelming joy.

”No, Sister Lan, listen to me, I’m not dating anyone...”

”You’re still pretending!”

”I’m not pretending,” Zhou Yun got out of bed, her bright eyes filled with sleepiness, ”Do you still not understand my situation? With so much debt, how could I be in the mood for romance?”

Zhou Lan went suddenly silent on the other end for a few seconds.

Knowing Zhou Lan as she did, Zhou Yun felt that Zhou Lan was unwilling to accept this reality.

Zhou Yun also realized by now that if the other party was Song Chi, Zhou Lan would probably be quite happy to see her dating him.

To hell with those rules about actresses not dating when they debut!

The man in question is Song Chi, a top star, a walking ”hotspot,” a celebrity who could skyrocket to fame with any affiliation.

Zhou Lan probably really believed that if Zhou Yun was really dating Song Chi, it meant that Zhou Yun was on her way to stardom, and as her agent, she’d be making money too.

Zhou Yun shook her head helplessly, thinking to herself, what kind of nonsense is this, and where did this scandal come from? Which unscrupulous media is spreading these rumors?
