Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2541: Chapter 2542: Who Is Outsmarting Whom

Hui Zi looked over at Bai Ruozhu with a smug glance, her little eyes full of disdain, as if she was so remarkable herself.

Bai Ruozhu secretly scoffed. Why bother with such a brainless plan?

She gave Fo Lanying a look, signaling Fo Lanying to prepare for action, but unexpectedly Hui Zi stood up and told her companions she needed to use the restroom. Some young ladies offered to join her, but she smiled and said, ”I’ll be right back. You all stay here and listen to the questions for me. Don’t miss anything.”

She also secretly glanced over at Bai Ruozhu, hinting to her companions to keep an eye on Bai Ruozhu, making sure she didn’t pull any tricks.

Fo Lanying also silently slipped out of the crowd, quietly following Hui Zi.

Not long after, the second round of the competition started. Fangzi was a bit nervous since she was not good at writing poetry, so she decided not to participate.

”Miss Fangzi.” A little maid squeezed through, head lowered, looking somewhat timid.

”What’s the matter?” Fangzi asked in confusion. She hadn’t brought her maid, only her coachman, who was waiting outside Yinfeng Garden.

”My lady would like to have a word with you about your second brother,” the little maid said.

Fangzi frowned slightly, ”Who is your lady?”

”Miss Hui Zi, your future sister-in-law, but she said she doesn’t have to marry into your family. You can just have a talk,” the little maid continued.

Fangzi hurriedly glanced at Bai Ruozhu, who smiled and said, ”Have her come over and talk. Is there something she can’t let others see?”

Her voice was quite loud, attracting a lot of attention.

Bai Ruozhu, not at all shying away, smiled broadly and said, ”This maid claims to be Hui Zi’s, inviting Fangzi to the back to discuss Fangzi’s second brother’s matters. Fangzi is too lazy to move, yet she insists on not leaving.”

At the mention of this, many people snickered. Most didn’t know what had happened between Hui Zi and Fangzi’s second brother, but for a girl to seek out another girl to talk about her brother’s matters, wasn’t that just spring fever?

The young ladies who were with Hui Zi before objected, ”We’ve never seen Hui Zi with such a maid, Bai-da-ren shouldn’t make random claims.”

Bai Ruozhu shrugged, ”The little maid said it, so ask around if you don’t believe it. Could the maid be an impostor?”

She quickly looked at Fangzi, ”You’re right not to go, being tricked by a fake maid could lead to robbery or worse!”

The little maid seemed even more frightened, neither admitting she was truly Hui Zi’s maid nor denying being an impostor.

Yaxi stepped forward then, saying, ”Everyone, take a look and see if anyone recognizes this maid. If nobody knows her, she’s indeed an infiltrating fraud. I’ll immediately call someone to send her to the Government Office.”

Many people looked and shook their heads, indicating they were unfamiliar with her. Bai Ruozhu’s smile couldn’t be hidden, if Fangzi wanted to find someone, no one would have leverage over her.

”Hey, where’s Hui Zi? Was she also captured by this fraud?” Hui Zi’s companion exclaimed.

Bai Ruozhu squinted, calculating the time, noticing there was no sign of the opponent, Watanabe, and guessed things were about the same.

”Quick, call the guards to search, don’t let her truly be taken by villains.” Someone suggested.

”Don’t say such inauspicious things, Hui Zi will be fine.” Another person complained.

At the moment behind the artificial hill, Fangzi was hiding and talking with Watanabe.

”Why do you hesitate? Fangzi doesn’t want to marry you anyway. Just make the raw rice into cooked rice.” Hui Zi glared at Watanabe, this man was too indecisive.

”That would damage my reputation.” Watanabe said.

”A man who doesn’t flirt is a vain youth. Once you’re married, who could say anything? Hurry and decide, the men are almost here.” Hui Zi continued.

Watanabe finally nodded, his expression somewhat reluctant, but excitement gleamed in his eyes. Hui Zi noticed and couldn’t help but sneer. Clearly, he was eager, yet pretended to be a gentleman, as if he was reluctant.

Not far away, Fo Lanying chuckled wickedly, thinking with such low-level scheming you still want to plot against others? Ruozhu certainly wouldn’t let Fangzi come over.

A small mechanical puppet slowly crawled towards Hui Zi’s feet from the bushes, releasing some drug powder.

Soon, Watanabe tugged at his collar, saying somewhat irritably, ”Why is it so hot today, how much longer will she take?”

”I had the maid say it’s about her second brother and also that I could choose not to marry her second brother, she’ll surely come, she should be here soon.” Hui Zi said, feeling hot herself, and instinctively tugged at her collar.

”Do you really not want to marry her second brother?” Watanabe suddenly asked.

Hui Zi flirtatiously smiled, ”Of course not, her second brother is not handsome nor capable, I wouldn’t look at him.”

Watanabe suddenly found Hui Zi’s flirtatious smile incredibly attractive, his heart felt sweet and soft, he suddenly wrapped his arms around her, asking, ”What about me? How do I compare to him?”

Hui Zi’s body felt soft, just by pressing against Watanabe she felt like she was on fire, she couldn’t help but snuggle closer, also wrapping her arms around him, saying, ”You’re the Kui Shou, and handsome too, much better than him.”

Then the two became an uncontrollable combustible mix, Fo Lanying watched with great interest, not avoiding it until a group came to the backyard looking for Hui Zi, she regretfully withdrew first.

Bai Ruozhu and Fangzi followed at the end of the group, some male guests also came to help, since Yinfeng Garden was quite large, everyone made a round before reaching the artificial hill area.

Fo Lanying came around from the back, linking her arm with Bai Ruozhu’s, mimicking her habit and made an ”ok” gesture.

”Was it really she who had a maid tell me to go to the back? Could it be...” Fangzi hesitated to think further, she suddenly understood a principle: the good were bullied, the tame horses were ridden.

If she hadn’t sought Bai Ruozhu’s help before, she certainly wouldn’t have thought so much today, she would definitely have gone with the maid, as just the second brother matter could have controlled her.

If she had gone, the consequences really couldn’t be imagined.

”Yi Teng, after all, she’s your fiancée, how can you not go check when something happens?” A voice resounded from the other side, Bai Ruozhu and others looked over, seeing a Fusang man bringing Fangzi’s second brother over.

Fangzi wanted to call out to her second brother, but with so many people around, how could she explain?

Then, from behind the artificial hill came sounds of a woman making private noises and a man panting heavily.

”Hui Zi, you really are so insatiable, I can’t bear to let you marry someone else.” Watanabe said passionately.

”Faster, faster, I want more.” Hui Zi panted coquettishly, ”I wouldn’t bother with that kind of person, just playing with him for a few days.”

The two spoke heedlessly, and just then a gust of wind blew by, making their voices even clearer to all.

Yi Teng’s friend quickly looked at him, seeing his face alternating between pale and flushed, cursing in his heart, why did he meddle and bring Yi Teng over!
