Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2352: Chapter 2351: Mighty and Dominant Qi

Though Teng Liu was afraid, he stood straight with an unwavering attitude, making Bai Ruozhu nod approvingly; she had indeed acquired a fine subordinate.

”You’ve only been with them for two days, and you’re already willing to risk your life for them. Aren’t you afraid that in the end, you won’t even know how you died?” Zheng Xin said sarcastically.

Bai Ruozhu took a step forward, standing in front of Teng Liu, and said, ”Helmsman Zheng, isn’t disciplining my subordinates none of your business? Although you have experience, this boat isn’t solely under your command, is it?”

Zheng Xin’s face showed a sarcastic expression, though he didn’t say it outright, his demeanor already made it clear that he indeed thought he was in charge.

At this moment, people from the Shipping Department were brought onboard. Upon seeing the situation, they became nervous and hurriedly went over to greet Jiang Yichun and Mo Beishan, saying, ”It’s all a misunderstanding, it’s good that the Midnight Demon has retreated, everyone must not harm the peace.”

Jiang Yichun said with a cold face, ”Someone on the boat was found imprisoning others and abusing private punishment. This matter must be thoroughly investigated.”

Only then did Li Jin notice the old man with a deathly pale face and frowned, saying, ”Who is this person? Does anyone recognize him?”

”No one recognizes him; could it be that Master Jiang and his people brought him onboard to create trouble for us?” Zheng Xin snorted coldly.

He looked at the old man with a sinister gaze, tinged with smugness, not believing the old fellow could survive.

Unfortunately, there were too many things he didn’t believe, and he was unaware of Bai Ruozhu’s medical skills and the trump cards she held.

Li Jin hastily leaned towards Jiang Yichun, lowered his voice, and said, ”Master Jiang, calm down, why lower yourself to his level? We are not familiar with the nautical routes; if he throws in the towel, it’s dangerous even if we want to turn back.”

With a grim face, Jiang Yichun said, ”I will figure something out. For now, everyone stay on the deck and don’t leave; I will send people to search and see who on this boat set up a private dungeon and if anyone else has been harmed.”

The crowd on the deck was in an uproar; were they going to be quarantined?

”We haven’t done anything wrong, Master Jiang, how can you just search and investigate like that?” one of Zheng Xin’s close aides hurriedly shouted.

Jiang Yichun coldly glanced at him, causing the man to shiver involuntarily, as if a knife had skimmed past his neck.

How could this Master Jiang be so formidable? Instinctively wanting to retreat, he feared angering Zheng Xin, so he forced himself to stand his ground, albeit with trembling knees.

”When I was in the Imperial Administration, I investigated whoever I wanted, searched whoever I wanted. The imperial court has these rules; anyone dissatisfied can stand out,” Jiang Yichun said, exuding a frigid aura.

”This is the boat, and the boat has its own rules. Master Jiang, don’t be too self-righteous...”

Before Zheng Xin could finish speaking, a loud slap landed on his face, sending him flying before landing on the close aide who had spoken earlier. The two of them screamed and rolled into a heap.

”Since when is it your place to interrupt when I’m speaking? Such insubordination warrants having your head chopped off,” Jiang Yichun said, emanating a murderous aura that caused many to step back; they realized this Master Jiang was more terrifying than Zheng Xin.

Bai Ruozhu watched, her eyes filled with admiration, not because she was infatuated, but because her man was too dashing, too domineering, even she, who had become immune to such things, found herself captivated.

”Mo Beishan, take people to search room by room, and only let others leave once results are found,” Jiang Yichun ordered.

Upon hearing this, Zheng Xin’s eyes flashed with cold light, ”This is tyranny. You force the people to rebel; if we don’t want to die, we have to fight back!”

He said this as he got up, picked up a harpoon, and assumed a stance as if ready to fight Jiang Yichun to the death.

Several people hurriedly picked up harpoons and stood by his side, clearly his allies. Meanwhile, some sailors and ship workers hesitated greatly, fearful of taking up weapons and equally afraid of Zheng Xin.

Li Jin turned pale with fear and accompanied his smile with,

Bai Ruozhu gave Jiang Yichun a knowing glance and said, ”Let’s head out first. Those who don’t want to rebel should just drop their weapons and step aside.”

This was Bai Ruozhu’s moment of benevolence. If a fight broke out now, those merely intimidated by Zheng Xin wouldn’t have a chance to turn back.

Moreover, she wanted Zheng Xin to taste the agony of betrayal. Of course, the latter was Abdominal Black Bamboo’s main objective.

Before Bai Ruozhu and her group could step out, someone dropped a harpoon and rushed over to Bai Ruozhu’s side, saying, ”Sir, I don’t want to rebel, I’m just a handyman. While I cannot afford to offend Helmsman Zheng, I dare not rebel either!”

Infuriated, Zheng Xin threw the harpoon at the person, but Mo Beishan threw a sword, knocking Zheng Xin’s harpoon away.

”Zheng Xin is guilty of attacking innocent ship workers onboard, compounded with his crimes!” Mo Beishan declared loudly.

He moved swiftly, decisively sealing Zheng Xin’s acupoint.

The ship worker who narrowly escaped hurriedly knelt and kowtowed, ”Thank you, sir, for saving my life, thank you!”

Others, not wanting to be controlled by Zheng Xin, also hurriedly dropped their harpoons and ran towards Mo Beishan’s side.

”You cowards, even if you go and join them, you will still die!” Zheng Xin shouted in anger.

The few who initially picked up weapons began to hesitate, witnessing the power of Jiang Yichun and Mo Beishan, realizing that their numbers were of no use. Zheng Xin was emboldened as the helmsman, but they were merely sailors, risking being slaughtered by the other side in an instant.

”Sir, I don’t want to rebel!” another yelled, dropping his harpoon and slowly making his way over.

”You... you coward!” Zheng Xin shouted, his eyes bloodshot with rage.

The remaining few also hesitated; Zheng Xin could see the change in their expressions and was furious enough to want to throw them all into the sea.

Bai Ruozhu, seeing it was almost enough, thought she didn’t want to let these few go just yet.

”Alright, my patience is limited. Jianqi, detain Zheng Xin and his accomplices in the rebellion. Assign guards and anyone attempting to free them will be treated as accomplices and punished!” Bai Ruozhu ordered loudly.

”Why? Why are you holding me? Without me, you have no knowledge of the sea routes, just wait to hit a reef and sink!” Zheng Xin furiously yelled, but the rash on his neck itched even more. He desperately wanted to scratch it, but unfortunately, he couldn’t move, making it even more unbearable.

Bai Ruozhu sneered, ”If the ship sinks, you’ll accompany it to the grave. Do you think you can escape?”

Jianqi promptly dragged him away, not giving him a chance to shout any further.

Not far away, Teng Ya and her mother hugged each other and cried. Their mistress had really punished that villain Zheng Xin, and he finally got his comeuppance!

With Zheng Xin gone, a ship worker finally dared to speak up, ”Sir, you are wise; many among us have suffered losses at the hands of Zheng Xin, and many were thrown overboard to feed the fish.”
