Chapter 1466: Chapter 1567 Adapting Teaching to Students’ Needs_1

”Of course not, I used a transcendent technique, equivalent to the backlash of an evil technique, which is why my body deteriorated. But you, though you’ve exhausted your essence, just need to properly cultivate the Heart Method and you can regather your essence. Moreover, you fully unleashed your potential yesterday, which actually stimulated your latent abilities, and that somewhat helped you in cultivating the Heart Method,” Ning Yu explained patiently.

Bai Ruozhu understood and then glared at Ning Yu somewhat angrily, ”It was right for you to save Diao Bin, but you can’t be so reckless in the future, or who will save her if something happens to you?”

Ning Yu blushed and hung his head, ”I understand.”

Afterward, Bai Ruozhu asked him about some life-saving magic techniques, as yesterday’s events made her realize the importance of having such techniques to protect oneself.

Ning Yu found a book for her and said, ”These are very difficult to practice, but if you can learn one or two of them, it will make you safer.”

Bai Ruozhu glanced carefully at it, and it included the Invisible Barrier Shield that could wrap around one’s entire body, a technique to instantly triple one’s speed, and even one to disappear on the spot and reappear at some distance away, just like the teleportation she had seen in video games before.

Since she had to rush to the Female Physicians Institution, she quickly memorized a few of them, planning to go home and practice them properly.

By the time she arrived at the Female Physicians Institution, the female doctors had already been earnestly studying the acupoint map. And some herbal medicine appeared to have just been delivered at the entrance.

”What is this for?” Bai Ruozhu asked Wei Tianzhen.

”It was herbal medicine sent by Mao Yanshi, but we remembered your instructions and didn’t process them,” replied Wei Tianzhen.

Bai Ruozhu nodded her head, ”Good, next time they deliver it just have them take it away, tell them I’ve instructed that the Female Physicians Institution has its own matters and has no time to help them with odd jobs.”

Some of the female doctors looked worried, but excitement was also evident in their eyes—they naturally didn’t want to always be tasked with odd jobs. Moreover, they were very impressed with the acupoint map drawn by Bai Ruozhu. Who else would be willing to teach them these things?

Then, Bai Ruozhu called on the eunuch servants outside and instructed them to carry the herbal medicine over to the Imperial Medical Hospital to return it to Mao Xingcai.

”Alright, let’s talk about the situation from your visits to the various palaces yesterday,” Bai Ruozhu said.

”Reporting to Doctor Bai, the lady from Hanlu Palace mentioned she often has headaches, and Consort Lv said she easily gets stomachaches. They’ve both consulted the Imperial Physician and taken medicine, but the symptoms frequently recur after several days. As for the others...” Wei Tianzhen paused, ”I don’t know if they truly have no problems or just aren’t willing to speak up. I even failed to see the face of some of the consorts, it’s my incompetence.”

”You needn’t take it too seriously, the situation will change in time,” Bai Ruozhu reassured her.

Soon, the other four also reported their situations, which weren’t much different from Wei Tianzhen’s.

”Let’s do this, I will first take you to Hanlu Palace to check on the lady, and you all need to learn carefully,” Bai Ruozhu said as she stood up and walked outside.

The five female doctors followed closely behind. Jiu Sheng, seeing them from the Imperial Medical Hospital, hurriedly followed, prompting Wei Pengbo to shout angrily, ”Jiu Sheng, why don’t you just switch and become a female doctor!”

Without looking back, Jiu Sheng responded, ”If the Female Physicians Institution accepts male doctors, I would go immediately. It’s no big deal.”

Wei Pengbo stomped his foot in frustration, ”It’s shameful, a disgrace to all doctors!”

Unfortunately for Wei Pengbo, Jiu Sheng paid him no heed and directly followed Bai Ruozhu.

Bai Ruozhu saw Jiu Sheng arrive but said nothing, continuing to explain to the five female physicians.

”Headaches can arise from many conditions, such as cold-induced headaches, or those caused by excessive worry and mental fatigue, and even headaches due to brain diseases,” Bai Ruozhu spoke patiently. ”Diagnosis should be based on observation, smell, questioning, and pulse-taking, but as your foundation is too shallow, it won’t be easy to master these skills all at once. So don’t worry, start with the simpler tasks, such as relieving the pain for the noble ladies.”

”Massage and acupuncture are both effective methods, but acupuncture requires a higher skill level, and you must practice for a long time before you can perform it on the noble ladies. Hence, today I will show you how to alleviate pain through massage,” Bai Ruozhu said with a smile. ”Although this technique only addresses the symptoms and not the root cause, no matter what kind of headache the patient has, it can’t be cured immediately. Thus, using massage to relieve the patient’s discomfort is also very important.”

The five of them listened intently, so much so that they didn’t notice a bright yellow figure appearing in the distance.

Tang Yin’s palace maid was about to order them to greet him, but she was stopped by Tang Yin’s gesture. He listened attentively for a while, nodding in his heart. The Bai Family’s method was indeed clever; though it was a shortcut, she was teaching according to their abilities.

He gestured and departed with his entourage via another path, not wanting to disturb Bai Ruozhu and the others. Bai Zepei, who was walking beside Tang Yin, silently took note of everything, knowing that the Emperor already had great appreciation for his younger sister.

Soon, Bai Ruozhu led the group to Hanlu Palace and announced her identity to see the beautiful Xu. She was quickly ushered in.

Beautiful Xu was a somewhat plump beauty, but not as sickly and frail as imagined. Instead, she had a plump, round egg-shaped face and looked quite comfortable, though not stunningly beautiful.

”Chief Physician Bai, I was just thinking of sending for you to take a look; my head is hurting again,” Beautiful Xu said, frowning and rubbing her temples.

Bai Ruozhu looked at her complexion and asked, ”Does Beautiful Xu feel a dull pain in the head, a sense of compression, heaviness? And do you easily get irritated and anxious?”

Beautiful Xu nodded, and as a result of the movement, her head hurt more, causing her to inhale sharply.

”Beautiful Xu, try to relax. I’ll massage you to relieve the pain and then prescribe formulas for treatment, is that okay?” Bai Ruozhu asked.

”Just by massaging, the pain will go away?” Beautiful Xu asked in surprise.

”It can significantly relieve it; at the very least, taking medicine later will be more comfortable,” Bai Ruozhu said gently, her face showing a soothing smile that greatly eased Beautiful Xu’s anxiety.

She had Beautiful Xu lean back on a chair and then washed her hands before massaging her. While massaging, she explained the acupuncture points and techniques to the five female physicians. Jiu Sheng even took notes seriously on paper.

In fact, given Beautiful Xu’s current condition, if Bai Ruozhu were to use acupuncture to alleviate pain, it would be faster and more convenient, but demonstrating acupuncture would be too difficult for the five female physicians and would only really benefit Jiu Sheng.

After a while, Beautiful Xu felt much more comfortable, her eyelids even beginning to droop. She fought to stay awake and said, ”I feel much better. I didn’t rest well last night because of the pain, but now I’m starting to feel sleepy.”

”Beautiful Xu, go ahead and take a nap; you’ll recover faster with good rest. How to treat your condition, I’ll leave instructions with your nanny or maid,” Bai Ruozhu said.

Beautiful Xu, finally feeling sleepy, didn’t stand on ceremony with Bai Ruozhu, telling her nanny to follow Bai Ruozhu’s instructions closely.
