Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

The possibility of Gongga Ningbu abandoning the car midway was 100%. Now, the problem was whether he would take the hostages and enter the desert mountain with them? There were three hostages in the car, two women and one man. The female hostage in the back seat was in serious danger. The male was the driver and was relatively safe.

Once Gongga Ningbu abandoned the car midway and took the hostages into the desert, the two female hostages might be cruelly killed. The male hostage might be taken along because entering the desert mountain range required a certain amount of stamina. The male hostage would become Gongga Ningbu’s first choice.

These were all the police’s guesses and analysis. The actual situation was in the hands of the criminal.

The director of the Xiji City Police Station immediately contacted the military with a cold expression. No matter how many guesses and analysis the police had, there was only one best way. It was to let the pursuing soldiers stop the criminal from abandoning the car and entering the mountain to ensure the safety of the three hostages in the car.

There were patrolling traffic police on the 315th National Highway. The nearest traffic police had also received instructions from the brigade to rush to the Lari Village service station. When they saw cars in front, they immediately shouted through the loudspeaker and asked the cars in front to move aside.

Hearing the traffic police’s instructions, the cars avoided the road and drove to the side, making the journey even smoother. Several police cars roared past, making the drivers who avoided the cars guess that something had happened in front.

Xia Jinyuan, who was driving at a speed of 240 miles per hour, received the latest instructions. The director of XiJi Police Station hoped that he could stop the felon from abandoning the car. At the same time, he told him all his personal information.

The poacher from the depopulated zone had cruelly killed three volunteers and a policeman. Now, it was very likely that he would kill the hostages!

The man, whose face had turned pale, instantly broke down when he heard that the person who kidnapped his good friends had killed three people before. He bit his arm hard enough to bite off a piece of flesh.

Xia Jinyuan had been paying attention to the man’s emotions. Seeing this, his eyes darkened slightly. He hung up the satellite communication and said to the man, ”This is the best lesson for you. It’ll make you consider the consequences before doing anything…”

In front, a silver-gray Jeep appeared. It was the same color as the hijacked car. Xia Jinyuan’s facial expression suddenly turned vicious. He smiled slightly. ”Sit tight. Your car is in front.”

The chase took 15 minutes, including the time Xia Jinyuan took to turn around and run back to the service station to get his car.

The man who was biting his arm muscles through his clothes raised his head. ”Can I go down and help? I want to beat that bastard to death!”

”Even though he’s a criminal who has killed a few people, you won’t be able to escape punishment even if you really beat him to death. You can’t be rash, lest you harm others and yourself.”

Just as Xia Jinyuan finished speaking, the man behind moved to the middle so that he could see the front clearly.

When he saw the silver-white Jeep and thought of his friends in it, he wiped the tears off his face and said stubbornly, ”I won’t cause trouble for you. If you get into a fight with the felon, I’ll help you a little. He must have a knife in his hand. I can remind you.”

The young man’s words reminded Xia Jinyuan of something in the past that involved Ye Jian. That year, he just met Ye Jian not long ago. On a rainy night, he chased after Ye Jian and asked her to sit in the car. Ye Jian had whispered to him, ”The bond between the military and the people is strong. Sometimes we, as civilians, can be your backers too.”
