Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

There were some things that she knew in her heart. If she said it out loud, it would only add to her sorrow. Ye Jian knew that the squad leader, Yang Zhen, knew that they were about to be separated. If not, she wouldn’t have opened her mouth the moment she walked out of the tent.

She knew. That was why she couldn’t bear to part with her.

After this, they would part ways. The female soldiers would have to take care of one another.

Ye Jian, who was tidying up Yang Zhen’s clothes, raised her hand one last time and patted Yang Zhen’s shoulder lightly. She didn’t use much strength, but it gave Yang Zhen the motivation to move forward.

”Instructor Ye…” Yang Zhen’s lips trembled. Ye JIan retracted her hand and placed her index finger on her lips. She smiled and made a shushing gesture.

Yang Zhen’s eyelashes trembled as she closed her eyes tightly. She swallowed the thousands of words that were about to come out of her mouth. Half a year… Half a year was so short. It was so short that they seemed to have parted before they even understood each other.

Ye Jian walked to the side of another female soldier who was standing guard. The female soldier was crying until her clothes were wet. She held the steel gun in her hand tightly. All the sorrow was on her hands that were holding the steel gun tightly. The veins on the back of her hands were bulging.

”I still remember the day you said you were on the train to come report to the Vanguard Battalion. All the passengers on the train were very enthusiastic because you were a female soldier. There were even children who gave you snacks. Cheng Ke, in the future, you’ll definitely get more snacks and receive more kindness. The citizens know that as a soldier, you’re the guardian angel of the citizens. You’re their support when they’re in danger.

”Hold the steel gun in your hand tightly and stand at every position. Even amidst the wind and rain, stand firm as a female soldier.”

The past half a year flashed past their eyes. Their past interactions would fade into memories that would stay in their minds forever.

From then on, the past would not be reset. From then on, they might not have the chance to meet again.

The female soldier, Cheng Ke, tightened her grip on the gun in her hand and nodded vigorously in response to the young and strict instructor who was tidying her up.

She would, she definitely would!

”Stand guard well. When you get off duty, have a good rest. There’s a tough battle waiting for you tomorrow.” Ye Jian, who had finished tidying up the female soldier, took a step back. The smile in her eyes was like water that surrounded the female soldier. Cheng Ke felt the tranquility in her eyes.

Ye Jian turned around and left the tent step by step without looking back. After walking for about three to five meters, she suddenly stopped in her tracks. As her body swayed naturally, her hands curled into fists.

There wasn’t just one or two gazes behind her. Countless gazes were looking at her.

”Salute!”

The wind in the desert was so dry that there was a hint of coldness. A uniform and powerful sound was heard. The 20 female soldiers gathered as usual. This time, they weren’t waiting for their instructor to arrive. They were watching their instructor leave.

Ye Jian stopped in her tracks. She raised her head and took a deep breath. Then, she smiled brightly. She left empty-handed without looking back. However… she raised her right hand and waved in the air.

’Goodbye, female soldiers who are fighting for their dreams.’

Xia Jinyuan, who was waiting for Ye Jian, saw this, and his eyes darkened. He sighed softly.

He reached out his hand and gently wrapped it around her trembling hand. ”You’ll have to say more farewells in the future. If you invest so much in all your relationships, it’ll be harmful to your body if your emotions fluctuate too much.”

He spoke in a low voice. His tone was filled with heartache.

Ye Jian grabbed Xia Jinyuan’s sleeve tightly with her other hand. Her back was straight at first, but now, she leaned against Xia Jinyuan. ”This is my first real training…”
