Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Although it was a joke, it was also to leave herself with an opportunity for the future. What if she could come back to visit the female soldiers in the future?

When the company commander heard this, he had a serious expression on his face and said very seriously, ”I’ll welcome you from five kilometers away. I just hope that you can come to the Vanguard Battalion more often to provide guidance.”

The company commander meant what he said. He really hoped that Ye Jian would come to the Vanguard Battalion more often.

After sending Ye Jian to the car, the company commander placed one hand on the car door and leaned over. He said, ”When you’re free, please definitely go back to the Vanguard Battalion to see your old comrades in your old military unit. Although we only interacted for half a year, you’ll always be a member of the Vanguard Battalion. The Vanguard Battalion will always welcome you.”

”As long as there’s a chance, I’ll definitely come back!” Ye Jian replied seriously, making a promise for the future.

The Vanguard Battalion was her first military unit after she graduated. Just like what Company Commander Zhu said, the Vanguard Battalion was her old military unit. Her old comrades were here. She would definitely come back!

The car started moving. Xia Jinyuan waved goodbye to Company Commander Zhu and drove back with Ye Jian.

Company Commander Zhu stood in the barren desert and watched the car leave. He saluted and bade farewell to his comrades who had been together for half a year.

Ye Jian kept staring at the rearview mirror. Even though the starlight was faint, Ye Jian could still see Company Commander Zhu raising his hand to salute. She closed her eyes lightly and didn’t dare to look anymore.

”Captain Xia, are we still going back to the camp?” After a long time, Ye Jian calmed down and asked the man who was driving steadily. ”Our luggage is still in the camp, right?”

The wheels of the car bumped over the desert. Xia Jinyuan, who was holding the steering wheel tightly, quickly glanced at the person sitting beside him. He couldn’t help but sigh. ”Our luggage is in the trunk. We’re leaving the old military unit…”

After all, Xia Jinyuan had more experience than Ye Jian. In addition, there was a group of comrades who were waiting for him to return to the team. Hence, his reluctance was much lighter than Ye Jian’s.

Although he was reluctant to part with his soldiers, he was not so reluctant that he wanted to cry.

Ye Jian was stunned for a moment. After a long time, she said in a daze, ”My luggage was packed? I… I don’t even know when that happened. Why… wasn’t I told? I thought… I thought we’d go back to the camp to pack our luggage.”

She spoke in a daze as if she couldn’t accept it.

After she finished speaking, Ye Jian leaned against the back of the chair and tilted her head. She looked outside in a daze. The mountains outside were undulating. The desert stretched endlessly outside. The Vanguard Battalion was outside. However, she was already leaving.

”Sleep for a while. To be safe, we need to take turns driving.” Xia Jinyuan’s heart ached for her. He decided to find something for Ye Jian. She was very responsible. If she had something to do, it would distract her.

Ye Jian, whose emotions were fluctuating, turned her head and immediately raised her hand to look at her watch. It was still ten minutes before 1:00 AM.

”How many hours do we need to drive? Are we going to the airport directly? What about transport? Will someone pick us up at the airport?”

”14 hours. The car will be placed at the military depot. Then, we’ll set off from the military depot to the airport.”

”Okay, I’ll take over at three o’clock.” Three o’clock was the time one wanted to sleep the most. If she slept now, Captain Xia could have a good rest at three o’clock.

Normally, Xia Jinyuan would definitely extend the time. This time, he nodded and said, ”Okay, I’ll wake you up at 3:00 am. I’ve been driving since I came from the camp.”

”Then I’ll drive now. You rest.” Ye Jian immediately changed her mind.
