Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Mr. Fu didn’t come back even after Ye Jian returned to the Vanguard Battalion. Mr. Fu, who had devoted himself to work, seemed to have forgotten that his daughter wasn’t far away from him. He plunged into a series of data analysis at the end of the successful experiment. When Mr. Fu thought of Ye Jian, the wound on Ye Jian’s calf had completely recovered. It also left a fingernail-sized scar.

Xia Jinyuan bent down and poked the wound lightly with his finger. Smiling, he said, ”Another medal. In the future… Yes, there will be more. You have to be careful. It’s fine to leave a few small scars. If there are too many big injuries, it’ll affect your health and performance.”

Xia Jinyuan knew why Ye Jian was injured the day she came back from the experimental center. As it was getting closer and closer to the time when the two of them would be leaving the Vanguard Battalion, Ye Jian continued training despite her injuries. To prevent her wound from bleeding again and again, Ye Jian applied a thick layer of sterile gauze on her wound. Even so, blood seeped out every night when she came back to change the gauze.

Xia Jinyuan had always been in charge of changing the gauze. Every time he took off the gauze, his handsome face would tense up. The pressure around him was so low that Ye Jian didn’t dare to speak.

Even though Xia Jinyuan’s heart ached, there was nothing he could do.

This path was filled with thorns. Sometimes, if you missed a step, you would bleed and break your bones. If it was serious, you would be disabled for life. If it was more crucial, you would lose your life.

They all knew this. Hence, there was no need to say anything else. No matter how much their hearts ached, they had to tell each other that they were going to walk on this path together and there was no turning back.

The recovery of the wound naturally kept delaying. It was supposed to take half a month but ended up taking more than a month. Fortunately, it was cold, so the wound could heal better. It only needed to be treated and disinfected at night. There were no signs of suppuration.

It was all thanks to Xia Jinyuan’s meticulous care.

Ye Jian didn’t feel that she was injured. She didn’t even think that it was an injury. In her eyes, a real injury was like the time when she was undercover in Myanmar and almost died on the way back to the country. That kind of injury was the real injury.

Seeing that Xia Jinyuan was still poking the wound that had already recovered, Ye Jian was a little worried. ”Are you addicted to changing my gauze and can’t bear to see me recover?”

”Huh? What did you just say?”

Xia Jinyuan had bent down to check the scab. He straightened his back and raised his slender eyebrows slightly. His voice rose lazily. His dangerous aura slowly enveloped Ye Jian.

Ye Jian didn’t know what to say. She immediately knew that she had said the wrong thing. Of course, her man didn’t want her to get hurt. However, in order to let her learn her lesson, he was ruthless enough to beat her up until she was sent to the hospital previously.

Realizing that something was wrong, Ye Jian immediately changed her mind. ”Getting injured isn’t a good thing. If I suffer, you’ll suffer too.”

It could be said that she had a strong desire to live.

”Be good. I’ll buy you candy tomorrow.” Lieutenant Colonel Xia was very satisfied with his girlfriend’s intelligence. It was good that she knew that getting hurt wasn’t a good thing. No matter how small the injury was, it was still an injury.

The wound on her leg had not healed for a long time. There would be a problem no matter how meticulous she was.

Hence, no matter how many injuries there were, it was not good.

The dangerous aura disappeared quietly. Xia Jinyuan bent down again to lower Ye Jian’s rolled-up trouser legs. He also gently tugged them to smooth out the wrinkles.

”There are still 23 days. What are your plans after 23 days? Have you seriously considered the major general’s suggestion?”

Now that she had recovered, Xia Jinyuan brought up Major General Yang’s suggestion again. Well, it could be said to be a suggestion.

Commander Kong had high hopes for Ye Jian. Coincidentally, the military unit was recruiting female soldiers from the air force. They weren’t recruiting new soldiers. They were all recruited from the air force. Commander Kong was worried that the female soldiers wouldn’t be able to withstand the high-intensity training and wouldn’t be able to endure the hardships. If someone had the intention to retreat, this would cause a butterfly effect and affect the determination of the other female soldiers. Hence, Commander Kong called Major General Yang.
