Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Ye Jian was afraid that she would make them even sadder if she said it out loud, so she just nodded.

”Then… will you still be here during our assessment?” a deputy squad leader asked softly. She even grabbed the hand of a female soldier beside her. She was a little flustered.

The atmosphere was so heavy that it was as if a rock was pressing on everyone’s heads. There was no smile on their faces anymore. They looked at their instructor nervously. The question that they had been avoiding on purpose was going to be answered. Before she even left, they were already filled with reluctance.

Actually, as the assessment date got closer and closer, the female soldiers knew that the time they could spend with the instructor was getting shorter and shorter. They were already being separated…

They knew it in their hearts, but no one said it out loud. It was as if as long as they didn’t say it, they wouldn’t be separated. As long as they didn’t say it, Ye Jian would continue to lead the team.

Now that she had spoken, their eyes turned red, and tears were already shimmering in them.

”Why are you all unhappy? I’ve been leading you for half a year, and everyone already knew about it from the start. Now that half a year has passed, it’s time for me to return to my military unit. All of you, cheer up. Don’t look like you’re about to cry. I’m very afraid of people crying, especially…”

What one was most afraid of would come true. Before she could finish speaking, Gao Xiao burst into tears.

”Really… I’m afraid of…” Ye Jian struggled weakly, trying to stop them. In the end, more and more people cried.

Ye Jian, who didn’t panic at all about the female soldiers’ assessment, panicked when she heard their cries.

Ye Jian, who was afraid, asked the squad leader and two deputy squad leaders for help. Oh no, the three of them were wiping their tears too!

She was afraid of people crying. What should she do? She wanted to cry too!

”Don’t cry! Why are you crying? You knew from the start that this day would come.

”Yangzhen, you’re the squad leader. You should be taking control of the situation. Why are you crying too?”

”Gao Xiao, you’re crying too loudly. Aren’t you afraid of attracting wolves?”

Gao Xiao choked on her tears and replied, ”Instructor, there are no wolves here. I won’t be able to attract them.”

Ye Jian wanted to cry too, but she also wanted to laugh. However, she wanted to escape even more.

Even so, she couldn’t escape. She had to persuade them.

The cries of the female soldiers caused a commotion, and the male soldiers on patrol heard it. Soon, Xia Jinyuan also knew that the female soldiers sitting on the training ground were crying around their instructor.

Hearing the male soldiers on patrol say that Instructor Ye was so anxious that she said childish words like ’I’ll leave immediately if you continue crying’, the company commander laughed loudly. ”These female soldiers are amazing. Instructor Ye wants to run away because of their crying.”

Xia Jinyuan held his forehead. Just now, he said that the female soldiers seemed to have become different people. Right before he and Xia Jinyuan were scheduled to leave, he was slapped in the face.

Why were they crying?

They already knew about it in advance, so they should have been mentally prepared. Wasn’t everything normal these few days? Why were they suddenly crying?

”It’s good to cry. It’s normal to cry. I knew that these female soldiers wouldn’t be able to hold it in and would cry. How is it, Brother Xia? I’m not wrong, right?” The company commander wanted to go over and take a look too. They had been holding themselves back for so long. Now that the floodgates were opened, they might not be able to stop their tears for a while.

Xia Jinyuan, who thought that the female soldiers wouldn’t cry, said, ”They’re crying now. On the day we really leave, they won’t cry as much anymore. Company Commander, I’ll leave the heavy responsibility of persuading the female soldiers not to cry to you.”

After thinking for a long time, the company commander held his breath and said, ”I want to go over and say that if they want to cry, they should cry it all out tonight.”

Should he persuade them? No, he should go farther away from them.
