Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Commissioner Miao was gratified to see the outstanding performance of the female student.

Not bad, not bad. She was a good seedling in military combat. Although he didn’t understand these combat commands, to be able to gain the recognition of the captain of the special forces unit meant that she was really impressive!

Technical powerhouses and strong soldiers equated to strong countries. He saw the future in this group of young people. He saw the strong soldiers of their country that would only get stronger in the future. Young people of this era should not think that they were already living a good life. They should not think that they were already living a good life and not strive to achieve anything.

Since they were here, they had to leave something for this world. They shouldn’t live recklessly.

Ye Jian didn’t know what was going on in the minds of Commissioner Miao, Yang Heng, and the other seniors. Once the retreat route was set, they immediately left the warehouse.

The people who were rescued were protected by five team members. Ye Jian would cover Yang Heng, Commissioner Miao would be covered by Big Shark, and the other three seniors would be protected by Big Eel, Big Whale, and Big Squid.

This time, even Commissioner Miao had a gun in his hand. It wasn’t a rifle but a pistol. He could use it to protect himself in times of danger.

Of course, the water ghosts of the Storm Commando Brigade didn’t want that to happen.

”Retreat!”

With Demon King Li’s order, three soldiers took over the positions of the four sentinels outside and started to cover the retreat. In the middle was Ye Jian and the other five. The water ghost who retreated last cleaned up the traces left behind during the retreat. When he left, it was as if no one had ever come to the warehouse.

When they came out of the warehouse and looked at the horizon, they could see the grayish-green smoke rising in the sky above the city. The artillery fire and gunshots were still there. They started at four in the morning, and they still hadn’t stopped at 7:30 am.

The water ghosts didn’t have the time to care about the situation on both sides. Although they were half an hour ahead of the original plan, no one dared to let down their guard. They observed and listened to their surroundings. All their muscles were in a combat state. They bathed in the sunlight and started to pass through the smoke.

In the day, Yeni was much more dangerous than at night. After passing through the ruins of the city that had been ravaged by the prolonged war, they felt that there was a gun aimed at them at a place where the sunlight couldn’t reach.

Danger, darkness, and sorrow… This was Yeni during the day.

On the heavily damaged street, illegal militants drove past in tanks. Hiding in a corner of the abandoned wall where the smell of gunpowder could still be detected, the soldiers stared vigilantly at the several tanks that drove past them. It was not until they could no longer feel the vibrations of the tank chains on the ground that the hiding water ghosts slowly walked out.

”Let’s go!”

With that shout, countless figures rushed out of the ruins on the street and continued to evacuate. They couldn’t pass through the streets directly because this was still the territory occupied by illegal militants. There were even illegal militants stationed outside to resist the government forces. They couldn’t show their faces, so they could only pass through the ruins carefully.

Yang Heng followed Ye Jian closely. He would do whatever she did. He would never mess around. At this moment, he would listen to Ye Jian’s arrangements.

As they got closer and closer to the crossfire point, the intense gunshots became clearer and clearer. Yang Heng couldn’t help but tighten his grip on the rifle in his hand. He was the only one among the five who was holding a rifle.

”Don’t be afraid. Follow me.”

A cold and calm voice was heard. These few words had already exposed the uneasiness in his heart. He looked up and saw Ye Jian, who had been protecting him. She was arching her back slightly and protecting him behind her like a shield. Her back was slender, but it made him feel at ease.
