Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

At 3:00 am, Yeni fell into artillery fire again. Yeni was a transportation fortress. Its geographical location was special. The government forces that were temporarily defeated by the NPFL militants and illegal militants mobilized their forces and started a sweeping attack.

The rebel general, Alva, made a quick judgment. He mobilized his heavy weapons and fired at the government forces too. The battle between the two armies was tragic. Countless civilians who finally fell asleep were caught in the gunfire. Cries and screams could be heard everywhere in the smoke-covered city of Yeni.

The government forces concentrated their fire on the train station. They had orders to take down the train station within three hours and kill the traitor, Alva.

Alva, who was mobilizing his soldiers, didn’t know that he had been exposed. He still thought that his secret was hidden from the government. His eyes were filled with viciousness as he fired at his former comrades.

Yang Heng listened to the sound of gunfire that made his eardrums hurt. He held his rifle tightly and followed the soldiers who were leading him without even blinking. They passed through the smoke and avoided groups of illegal militants. Yang Heng heard his heart beating like thunder and knew how frightened he was.

He was indeed afraid.

Before sending him to Libya, the leader had a conversation with him. He clearly told Yang Heng that the situation in Libya was unstable and there were constant wars. It was a rather dangerous country. It was very likely that he wouldn’t be able to come back if he went. The leader asked if Yang Heng dared to go over.

At that time, Yang Heng was in high spirits. Like a newborn calf that was not afraid of tigers, he said brightly, ”Yes, I dare to! There’s nothing to be afraid of. I’ll definitely obey your arrangements!”

Yes, that was his firm reply.

He thought that he was well-prepared and wouldn’t cower. But now… Yang Heng, who was staggering, smiled bitterly. He was probably not far away from being a coward.

In just a short moment of distraction, a black shadow pressed Yang Heng and his gun to the ground. Yang Heng, whose body was hurting from the gravel on the ground, heard the leader of the operation team question angrily, ”Do you still want to live?”

His voice was cold like an unsheathed sword. It was so sharp that Yang Heng couldn’t help but swallow his saliva.

Yes, he wanted his life.

Before he was taken away by the illegal armed forces, he was really prepared to sacrifice himself. But now that he was saved, he cherished his life again.

An illegal militant who went to exchange fire with the government forces ran past the dilapidated street less than three meters away from them. Amidst the sound of gunfire, his footsteps could still be heard clearly. Only then did Yang Heng realize that he was distracted for a few seconds and almost bumped into the illegal militant.

The weight on his body moved away. He heard the captain say in a low voice, ”We’ve arrived at the train station. We’ll cross the square and reach the west in ten minutes.”

The captain’s voice was very cold.

After a slight pause, he said another word, ”Okay!”

Ye Jian, Big Shark, and the rest had already successfully entered the bomb shelter. They started searching according to the location provided by Yang Heng.

Yang Heng had already gotten up and continued following them.

This time, he didn’t dare to be distracted anymore. He was afraid that if he was distracted again, he would lose his life.

Under the faint starlight, the soldiers who saved him were all agile. They went up and down at high speeds. They were much stronger than the peacekeeping soldiers he had seen. Moreover, he felt that they should be able to move faster, but they were dragged down by him.

Could it be that the people who saved him weren’t the peacekeeping soldiers but…
