The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 551: Chapter 551: This Decision Might Be Ill-Considered_1

”Carson Flores, the Five Dragon Sect is still hunting you with the Five Dragon Order and yet, you swagger into the Reid Family, aren’t you afraid?”

Dexter Reid asked without changing his expression, but his mind was frantically calculating.

Capturing Carson Flores and handing him to the Five Dragon Sect to seek their protection, then using Carson Flores as bait to lure out Shirley Miller, with Gunner Tate’s formidable strength and the numerous Innate Grandmasters of the Five Dragon Sect, annihilating Shirley Miller was certainly within reach!

Shirley Miller had killed two of the Reid Family’s old ancestors, placing the Reid Family in the awkward situation they were in today. To say that the members of the Reid Family did not harbor hatred and desire for vengeance was impossible.

The previous choice to submit was because there were no means of revenge, but now it seemed that an opportunity had presented itself.

Dexter Reid was unaware of the great battle that had taken place at Sword Cloud Mountain with the Five Dragon Sect, just as the other sects in Xijing did not know that the two Innate ancestors of the Reid Family had been killed. Such things were typically kept secret by the sects as soon as possible.

To obtain the protection of the Five Dragon Sect while also avenging past wrongs seemed like killing two birds with one stone. Why not take this chance?

Carson Flores chuckled, ”That’s between me and the Five Dragon Sect and has nothing to do with the Reid Family. Could it be that the Reid Family is coveting the bounty of the Five Dragon Order?”

Carson Flores had only wanted to kill Oscar Miller and didn’t wish to start an all-out war with the Reid Family, as that was entirely unnecessary. Therefore, his attitude was quite amiable.

Dexter Reid smiled, ”Of course not, I’m just curious... I know about your grudge with Oscar Miller, and naturally, I wouldn’t start a war with you over a son-in-law like him, but I do have a question. Your wife, who is also Oscar Miller’s cousin, Shirley Miller, why didn’t she come with you? Logically speaking, she should hate Oscar Miller the most, right?”

Carson Flores was stunned for a moment. The Reid Family knows about Shirley Miller as well?

The news sure spread fast!

Carson Flores didn’t think much of it and casually replied, ”She didn’t want to come and asked me to take care of it.”

A cold glint flashed in Dexter Reid’s eyes, and the looks on the faces of the people in the room became subtly more pronounced.

Lies!

Just yesterday, Shirley Miller came and killed people. How could she possibly let Carson Flores come by again for such a polite negotiation?

Dexter Reid thought about it. It was a bit risky, but for the Reid Family who were in urgent need of finding a backer, this was indeed the best opportunity.

After all, the Five Dragon Sect was only thirty miles away, half an hour’s time. What could possibly happen in between?

With a room full of Great Grandmasters, capturing Carson Flores was a sure thing, wasn’t it?

”Alright, just wait a moment. I’ll make some arrangements, my daughter is still here, I’ll send her away first... please understand.”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”Sure.”

Carson Flores had no suspicions. After all, dragging the entire Reid Family into trouble for someone as inconsequential as Oscar Miller was clearly not worth it.

Powerful families may be powerful, but they are also truly cold-blooded.

Dexter Reid went upstairs, and about five minutes later, he came back down, his face barely concealing his excitement.

He did not call Gunner Tate but instead contacted another Innate Great Grandmaster, Brantley Howard. Upon hearing that the Reid Family could capture Carson Flores, he immediately agreed to Dexter Reid’s request.

To protect the Reid Family.

And use Carson Flores as bait to kill Shirley Miller!

Dexter Reid was surprised because he felt that the other party was very proactive in agreeing to the plan of using Carson Flores to kill Shirley Miller, even carrying a twinge of excitement.

Although Dexter Reid was a bit puzzled, the outcome was the best imaginable, so naturally, he didn’t think any further.

As long as they had the protection of the Five Dragon Sect, the Reid Family would have no worries!

The gaze of all the Great Grandmasters and Grandmasters in the room converged on Dexter Reid’s face, waiting for his response.

Dexter Reid nodded emphatically, ”They all agreed... Surround him!”

Shadows moved, and a group of Great Grandmasters instantly encircled Carson Flores, filling every direction he could potentially escape.

Carson Flores’s brow furrowed slightly but he was not flustered, ”Family Head Reid, what is this about?”

Dexter Reid sneered, ”You probably haven’t met Shirley Miller, have you?”

Carson Flores calmly retorted, ”Why do you say that?”

Dexter Reid coldly stated, ”Yesterday, Shirley Miller came to the Reid Family, killed two of our Innate ancestors, executed Oscar Miller, and left unhindered. Today, you come to our doorstep, claiming you want to settle your personal vendetta with Oscar Miller, saying Shirley Miller knows and allowed you to handle it...”

Carson Flores was taken aback. Shirley Miller had come to the Reid Family yesterday?

Killed two Innate ancestors and then killed Oscar Miller?

That’s quite fierce.

In a flash, Carson Flores understood the whole story, and he chuckled, ”I see, I must have missed out on that. Was the call you made earlier to Gunner Tate?”

Dexter Reid sneered, ”The Five Dragon Sect has already promised me. As long as we capture you and deliver you to the Five Dragon Sect, they will protect our Reid Family. And with you as bait, we can kill Shirley Miller. She murdered two of our ancestors, and we must avenge that!”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”That is indeed a matter of life and death, and wanting vengeance is understandable. However, your decision might be a little hasty.”
