The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 583: Chapter 583: What, You Brought Reinforcements?_1

Messiah Frost sighed in relief upon hearing the news.

It seemed that Desmond Hoffman was indeed greatly favored; with just a phone call, his grandfather actually rushed over.

Desmond Hoffman’s grandfather, Hank Hoffman, was not only an Innate Grandmaster but also the Hoffman Family Head. Even though he wasn’t the strongest in the Hoffman Family, his every word and deed could entirely represent the whole family!

Messiah Frost asked, ”What did Grandfather say?”

Being the grandson-in-law of Hank Hoffman, Messiah Frost was one of the reasons Hank Hoffman came to support him.

Desmond Hoffman said in a muffled voice, ”He didn’t say anything, just wait. Just make sure those two don’t run off early.”

Messiah Frost had nothing to say in response.

Run off?

The two had just sat down to order a meal; how did they look like they were about to run away?

Contemplating the possible conflict that could erupt later, Messiah Frost was worried, but then he thought that Carson Flores and his wife would definitely support Adriel Frost, and he saw this as an opportunity.

As long as the Howell Family dealt with Carson Flores and Shirley Miller in advance, preventing them from supporting Adriel Frost, he would have a guaranteed victory in the competition between the two.

The joy and laughter that had filled the table before were no longer present. Though they were still seated around the table, no good words were being said; they merely waited in silence.

More than half an hour later, Desmond Hoffman’s phone rang.

After taking the call, Desmond Hoffman’s face lit up with excitement, and he walked with an air of arrogance over to the table where Carson Flores and Shirley Miller were sitting.

”Flores!”

Carson Flores glanced at him sideways and said indifferently, ”What, you’ve brought in reinforcements?”

Desmond Hoffman replied coldly, ”This isn’t the place to talk. We’ll wait for you downstairs.”

Carson Flores chuckled and ignored Desmond Hoffman.

Feeling disregarded, Desmond Hoffman said sternly, ”The person who has come is my grandfather, Hoffman Family Head Hank Hoffman. Show some respect!”

Carson Flores calmly responded, ”You all have eaten your fill while I’m still not full. Just wait a bit.”

Desmond Hoffman nearly ground his teeth to pieces; that Flores was too arrogant!

If he weren’t unable to defeat him, he would have slapped him several times over!

Desmond Hoffman stretched out his finger and pointed fiercely at Carson Flores, then turned to walk towards the exit. At the exit, he turned back and said, ”Marcus Gibbs, you stay here and keep an eye on them to prevent them from slipping away through some other exit.”

Marcus Gibbs felt a shiver down his spine, but considering the Hoffman Family Head was here just to keep watch, he figured there shouldn’t be any problems.

”Understood, Young Master Hoffman.”

Inside the restaurant.

Shirley Miller asked softly, ”How do you plan to resolve this?”

Carson Flores smiled and said, ”Let’s talk first. Since we’ve run into each other, it must be fate. They look down on us so much, we should at least prove ourselves, shouldn’t we?”

Shirley Miller chuckled, ”Adriel Frost doesn’t even know about this yet, and here we are already starting a confrontation with the Hoffman Family.”

Carson Flores picked up his glass and took a sip of water, ”The Hoffman Family wants to support Messiah Frost, and we support Adriel Frost. It was only a matter of time before we clashed, so it’s better to take this chance to see the Hoffman Family’s attitude.”

Understandingly, Shirley Miller asked, ”Shall we go down now?”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”No rush, let’s finish eating first.”

...

Once Desmond Hoffman and the others left the club, they saw a black stretch limousine parked at the roadside, its appearance commanding and its license plate arrogant.

The car door opened, revealing Hank Hoffman. His gaze swept over Desmond Hoffman and Messiah Frost, ”Get in and tell me.”

The two greeted him properly and then got into the car, while the others stood not far away, their expressions tense but excited, all anticipating what would happen next.

Desmond Hoffman recounted the events angrily while pointing to his face, ”Grandfather, this kid is too arrogant! It’s not that he just outpowered me, he’s completely disregarding the Hoffman Family. It’s a slap to the Hoffmans’ face. If we don’t deal with this kid, with so many people having seen it in the restaurant, others might think the Hoffman Family is afraid.”

Hank Hoffman’s sharp eyes landed on Desmond Hoffman’s swollen face and asked flatly, ”Did you harass Shirley Miller first?”

Desmond Hoffman was taken aback and stammered an explanation, ”I just saw that she was pretty and invited her to have a meal together. How was I supposed to know she was Shirley Miller? I hadn’t even done anything when Carson Flores showed up...”

Hank Hoffman snorted, ”If you had really done something, you might already be crippled, or dead.”

Desmond Hoffman reflected and then said, ”Even if we don’t talk about tonight’s incident, from their tone, it’s clear they plan to support Adriel Frost in the competition for the Frost Family Heir. Just for that, we can’t let them off.”

Hank Hoffman’s gaze swept across the club’s entrance and said coldly, ”Where are they?”

Desmond Hoffman’s face turned embarrassed and angry, ”He said they haven’t eaten their fill yet and to just wait. Grandfather, this kid is outrageously arrogant!”

Hank Hoffman’s expression also turned colder, and a flicker of anger passed through his eyes.

As the Hoffman Family Head, he had personally rushed over to handle the matter, showing how seriously he took Carson Flores and Shirley Miller. Yet the two were completely ignoring him, focusing on their own meal and leaving him waiting outside in the cold wind.

Seeing the cold look in Hank Hoffman’s eyes, Desmond Hoffman’s voice dropped, ”Should I go up again?”

Hank Hoffman leaned back in his seat, closed his eyes, and said coldly, ”Would they even pay attention to you? We’ll wait...”
