The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 570: Chapter 570: Getting Older, Be Careful Not to Strain Your Back_1

Would Aurelio Compton dare to kill Carson Flores?

He wouldn’t dare!

In Canghe, the Compton Family is considered a powerhouse with four Innate Grandmasters. In terms of strength, the Compton Family is indeed much stronger than the Reid Family of Xijing. However, when it comes to offending Shirley Miller, they are still somewhat timid.

Shirley Miller, despite her youth and lack of previous fame, had established her notoriety and iron-blooded style by wiping out two ancestors of the Reid Family in one battle and suffering mutual injuries with Gunner Tate in another.

If they killed Carson Flores, wouldn’t Shirley Miller come knocking on the Compton Family’s door and tear each of them to shreds?

The gazes surrounding him were like sharp arrows, making him feel pins and needles on his back.

After all, he was an Innate Grandmaster, and especially in a gathering of top experts from all over, his every word and deed represented not only himself but also the Compton Family.

Face must not be lost at any cost!

If he allowed Carson Flores to mock him and did not respond, to be stepped on and spit on without daring to retort, then Aurelio Compton, and even the Compton Family, would become the laughingstock.

”I understand the grudges between you and the son-in-law of the Reid Family, and killing you is certainly not the intention, but to teach you a lesson so you know there’s always someone better than you and that a young man should not be so arrogant, that I can do.”

Carson Flores bared his teeth in a smile, ”Alright, you want to teach me a lesson, huh? I accept this challenge.”

Carson Flores was now an Innate Grandmaster himself. There might still be many he couldn’t defeat under the heavens, but there weren’t many he didn’t dare offend.

If it’s a fight they want, then a fight it shall be!

He should take this opportunity to show off his martial prowess and prevent every Tom, Dick, and Harry from jumping out to cause trouble. Although it wasn’t likely to cause him any serious harm, it was surely annoying.

The crowd was immediately taken aback, their gazes uniformly landing on Carson Flores, filled with surprise.

Carson Flores actually agreed?

Aurelio Compton had been an Innate practitioner for at least twenty years, but Carson Flores had just advanced to Innate status. What could he possibly use to fight Aurelio Compton?

Gunner Tate remained calm; Odin Burgess had told him that Carson Flores was very strong, stronger than Heath Wells, so he wasn’t surprised by Carson Flores accepting the challenge.

That old fool Aurelio Compton is going to kick an iron plate this time.

Gunner Tate was naturally pleased to see this; he also wanted to gauge Carson Flores’s strength through this battle. Knowing the enemy and knowing oneself, one can fight a hundred battles without danger. Understanding Carson Flores’s strength was key to figuring out how to kill him more effectively.

Aurelio Compton’s spirits lifted—he actually agreed!

”Very well, let everyone present bear witness; this contest is entirely voluntary by both parties and does not violate the rules of the Nine States assembly. Moreover, I won’t kill him, just teach this arrogant youngster a lesson...”

Aurelio Compton hadn’t finished speaking when Carson Flores casually interrupted, ”Stop blathering, this is a private feud between you and me. Win or lose, I’ll take it on my shoulders; it won’t involve your Compton Family, so you needn’t fear my wife coming after you.”

Laughter erupted from the crowd.

Aurelio Compton’s face turned a few shades redder; he had indeed been worried that after being humiliated by him, Shirley Miller would come seeking revenge.

Come to think of it, this was an advantage that Carson Flores and Shirley Miller held. Carson Flores was a lone wolf, and although Shirley Miller was a part of the Miller Family, everyone knew she had wiped out the family herself, so the existing family couldn’t constrain her at all.

If this couple really decided to kill someone, they wouldn’t have any considerations or burdens; if they could beat their opponent, they’d kill them. If they couldn’t, they’d run. Unless they were directly killed, the destruction this couple could cause was truly terrifying.

Aurelio Compton had thought that since Carson Flores had just entered Innate status and was young, in such a setting, with many Innate Grandmasters present, he would have to swallow the insult and humiliation without a word. Yet Carson Flores showed no fear, clapped back hard, and even accepted the challenge.

With everyone watching, Aurelio Compton had no choice but to step up.

He’d teach him a lesson first!

Just then, Kaenu Hail appeared at the periphery, wearing a warm smile.

The crowd greeted him, and Kaenu Hail waved them off, saying, ”Everyone, please, there’s no need for formalities. I heard there was excitement to be seen, and I’ve come to watch the fun.”

Gunner Tate glanced at Kaenu Hail, his eyes filled with deep wariness.

Was Kaenu Hail here to back up Carson Flores and earn some favors?

In any case, he best not give Kaenu Hail a reason to confront him directly. After the meeting ends, he’ll kill Carson Flores then!

The crowd moved to an open space.

Aurelio Compton called out loudly, ”Carson Flores, you and I have no direct enmity. If you find yourself outmatched, just concede. In the future, try not to be so presumptuous. Punches and kicks don’t have eyes; if you get hurt, don’t blame me.”

Carson Flores smiled faintly, ”You’re the one who should be careful. You’re getting on in years; don’t throw out your back.”

Aurelio Compton’s expression chilled; with Carson Flores’s continuous provocations, today he had to make him suffer to save face.

”At such a young age, you’re not so skilled, but your mouth is quite poisonous! Since you refuse to see reason, I won’t feel guilty about teaching you a lesson.”

Carson Flores gestured, beckoning with his fingers, ”Enough talk, come on then!”
