The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 568: Chapter 568 You’re Just a Pathetic Loser_1

Gunner Tate sat across from Carson Flores, his gaze complex and subtle.

”It’s uncanny, just like two peas in a pod...”

Carson Flores quickly regained his composure and picked up another bun, taking a big bite, ”Do you mean my dad and me?”

This place was the Sea Sky Grand Hotel, under the jurisdiction of the Kyushu Assembly, where private fights were forbidden; thus, there was no need to worry about Gunner Tate making a move on Carson here.

Gunner Tate was also going to attend the Kyushu Assembly?

”Yes, you are now twenty-seven years old, the same age your father was. You resemble him closely, and looking at you now is like seeing Westin Flores back in the day...”

Carson Flores fixed his eyes on Gunner Tate, ”Are you too a participant of the Kyushu Assembly?”

Gunner Tate hummed in affirmation, ”I hadn’t planned on attending, but since you are here, I thought I would come and see.”

Carson Flores smiled, ”So we shouldn’t resort to fists right now, should we?”

Gunner Tate returned the smile, ”No rush.”

Carson Flores, observing the calm Gunner Tate, asked, ”Since it’s just the two of us, to the death, why not share the story of you and my parents?”

Gunner Tate nodded, ”Want to know?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Naturally, of course. You could choose not to tell because I already know how the story ends. No matter how fascinating the beginning or the development, the end won’t change.”

Gunner Tate frowned slightly, ”They returned to Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”They were gravely wounded by Shane Fox. A Miss Tang from Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven appeared, severely injured Shane Fox, and took the two of them back to Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven.”

Gunner Tate stared at Carson Flores, ”Where did you get this information?”

Carson Flores explained, ”Didn’t I visit Mount Kahdas? In Dingburg at the foot of the mountain, I happened upon this story.”

Gunner Tate looked puzzled, ”Westin once told me that outsiders cannot enter Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven, not even his wife. How did he manage to bring Lucy Frost into Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven?”

Even a wife cannot enter Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven?

Miss Tang?

Carson Flores subconsciously thought of the mysterious and powerful woman. Was it her?

When his father went to seize the Heaven’s Prophecy jade, was it not for himself, but for his mother?

Since his mother couldn’t enter Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven, he obtained the Heaven’s Prophecy jade to let her enter the Nutwood Heavenly Cave as a roundabout form of rescue?

Due to some emergency, his father had first entrusted the Heaven’s Prophecy jade and himself to his master, Andrew?

Or was it still because of Miss Tang?

Many thoughts flashed through Carson Flores’s mind in a moment, but he replied, ”That I do not know. I just learned that Miss Tang took the gravely wounded pair through Dingburg, having someone escort them into the Mount Kahdas Range, and that’s all I know.”

”It seems that Miss Tang is a person of remarkable status.”

A cold light flickered in Gunner Tate’s eyes, ”Your father was indeed quite the lover. That Miss Tang is said to be very beautiful, with a prestigious status, and she liked your father. Yet he declined her affections, opting to compete with me for Lucy. He truly deserved to die!”

Carson Flores asked, ”What’s the story with you and my mother?”

Softness flickered through Gunner Tate’s eyes for a moment before they hardened like steel, ”If it hadn’t been for Westin interfering, Lucy Frost would have unquestionably married me. Your family of three, all of you should die!”

Carson Flores asked, ”I heard that my father met with you alone once?”

Gunner Tate nodded, ”I knew Lucy first, but your father came out of nowhere and stole her heart. I spoke with Westin alone once and told him to return where he came from or else I would kill him. He arrogantly told me that I was not even qualified to fight him...”

With this, all the mysteries surrounding his parentage were mostly unravelled.

Gunner Tate was the loser of this love affair, exceedingly proud and a man of exceptional talent; the failure humiliated him, and my father’s words only added insult to his injury, filling him with a murderous intent towards my entire family, eventually leading to the grim end.

Carson Flores silently finished the last bun and then looked up, ”Do you have to kill me?”

A hint of madness flickered in Gunner Tate’s composed eyes, ”Yes. They have returned to Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven, and it’s impossible for me to kill them now. Even if I entered the Cave Heaven, I wouldn’t be able to keep up with them and couldn’t kill them. But killing you, no matter how long their lives are, this pain will accompany them for their entire lives, ensuring they will never forget!”

Carson Flores nodded and finally said briskly, ”Alright then!”

Gunner Tate, looking at Carson, suddenly sneered coldly, ”What, from what you said just now, if I don’t kill you, were you planning to let me go?”

Carson Flores candidly nodded, ”Indeed, that was my thought. After all, no matter how strong you are now, you’re just a pitiful loser in this love story, somewhat deserving of sympathy. But since you refuse to let go of your obsession, insisting on killing me, then I have no choice but to kill you.”

Gunner Tate’s gaze turned scornful, and he sneered, ”You, kill me? How?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Chairman Kaenu once asked if I needed help, but I refused. Because to kill you doesn’t require Chairman Kaenu’s intervention, I am more than enough on my own.”

Gunner Tate’s expression changed slightly, and his smile suddenly stiffened, ”Kaenu Hail? Why would he want to help you?”
