The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 567: Chapter 567: Is It Good to Enjoy the Shade Under a Big Tree?_1

The meal was quite casual, just like a gathering amongst friends.

”Thank you for the invitation and advice, Chairman. I’ve learned a great deal.”

Kaenu Hail laughed, ”No need for formalities. You and I are both destined to become Cultivators; in the future, we’ll be fellow practitioners. It’s only natural we support each other. By the way, has Gunner Tate from the Five Dragon Sect looked for you?”

Carson Flores answered honestly, ”He called me this afternoon; he’s probably going to come to Bin Asia to find me.”

Kaenu Hail slightly raised his eyebrows, ”To kill you?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Yes.”

Kaenu Hail laughed, ”Your strength is probably not enough to be his match right now. Do you need my help?”

Carson Flores was shocked inside. Kaenu Hail was proactively offering help to him?

”Thank you for your kind offer, Chairman, but this matter involves my parents, so it’s personal. I plan to handle it myself. If I can’t, then I’ll ask for your help later on.”

Kaenu Hail agreed readily, ”Alright, take down my number. Call me anytime if you need anything.”

Carson Flores took down the number and hesitated before asking, ”Chairman, we are strangers to each other. Why did you invite me alone today and go out of your way to help me?”

Kaenu Hail smiled, ”Your father is from the Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven. As I know, those who leave the Blessed Land to walk the earth are extraordinary. You’ve achieved Innateness at twenty-seven, and your future is boundless. Your wife has transformed from a common person to an Innate in half a year; she must have been blessed by some Blessed Land of Cave Heaven. Although your current strength may not be comparable to mine, the fate and connections that you and your wife possess make me envious.”

”As I said before, you and I are destined to be Cultivators, fellow practitioners, even if we come from different Blessed Lands of Cave Heavens, there’s no reason we won’t interact. My invitation today is simply to make a good connection. In the future, on the path of cultivation, it is always beneficial to have more friends.”

Carson Flores suddenly realized how far-sighted Kaenu Hail was!

From the current perspective, his and Kaenu Hail’s fates didn’t intersect, but if he extended the timeline, certainly in the future both he and Kaenu Hail would enter a Blessed Land of Cave Heaven and become Cultivators.

At this moment, he was the number one expert in Kyushu, but once he entered the Blessed Land of Cave Heaven, he wouldn’t be the top expert any longer. And his own background as the son of someone from the Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven, along with his and his wife’s connections, might mean he could even fare better than Kaenu Hail in the future. Kaenu Hail proactively offering help and establishing a good connection now might mean that he would need Carson Flores’s help in the future.

Was he benefiting from the shade of a large tree?

Though he had been separated from his father since childhood, as Kaenu Hail said, those who could walk among the common world are no ordinary individuals, meaning his father must be someone important within the Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven. Isabella Roth had confirmed this as well, so Kaenu Hail’s enthusiasm towards him now might be because of his father’s status.

”I have many uncertainties about the road ahead; I would appreciate more of your guidance, Chairman.”

Kaenu Hail laughed, ”Of course, let’s keep in touch.”

After parting with Kaenu Hail, Carson Flores felt quite sentimental.

The number one expert in Kyushu taking the initiative to be friendly with him?

But thinking about it, this ultimately was a good thing. Even if he owed a favor, he could repay it when the opportunity arose.

Right now, what Carson Flores wanted most was to see Shirley Miller.

He needed to understand what had happened to Shirley Miller and to know her final choice regarding their relationship, so he could then determine his own path forward.

Even though his father was from Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven, Carson Flores didn’t think it would be easy to enter Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven. Otherwise, his father might have taken his mother and him back to Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven years ago, instead of trying to obtain the Heaven’s Prophecy jade.

The Heaven’s Prophecy jade his father left with him indicated that his father wanted him to use it to enter the Nutwood Heavenly Cave. Maybe there were no other choices at that time, but at least his father thought it was okay for him to enter the Nutwood Heavenly Cave.

Carson Flores could enter the Nutwood Heavenly Cave at any time, but once inside a Blessed Land of Cave Heavens, one cannot leave at will.

Carson Flores had to settle his mortal affairs and be free from concerns before he would enter; otherwise, these unresolved mortal matters would linger in his heart, becoming a Heart Demon on his path of cultivation.

The next morning, Carson Flores went to have breakfast in the restaurant. After breakfast, everyone would take a cruise to Qingli Island, officially kickstarting the conference.

All guests in the entire restaurant were attendees of the conference, most of whom were white-haired with an imposing presence. Carson Flores, a young man sitting in the restaurant, attracted countless curious glances.

Carson Flores calmly ate breakfast, but his inner emotions were stirring.

Dozens of Innate Grandmasters gathering for breakfast was not a minor spectacle!

If conflicts arose and fighting broke out, these people could probably tear down the hotel into pieces.

Imagining the scene of a scuffle among dozens of white-haired Innate Grandmasters, the corners of Carson Flores’s mouth couldn’t help but curl slightly.

As Carson Flores lowered his head to drink his porridge, the light in front of him dimmed, and a middle-aged man with a meal plate walked over and sat down opposite him.

Carson Flores looked up, and his pupils suddenly contracted.

Gunner Tate!
