The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 592: Chapter 592: If you don’t give it, we’ll take it ourselves!_1

The people from the Hoffman Family hadn’t arrived yet, but Messiah Frost was already there, along with two Frost Family Patriarchs, Finn Frost and Amari Frost.

Although they were also Carson Flores’s elders, Carson didn’t have a good impression of them.

In the past, when the Vasquez Family caused trouble for him, Finn Frost and Amari Frost chose to turn a blind eye and to abandon him, and even the last time they intervened, it was only because his aunt Leah Frost was forced to act and kill someone that they had no choice but to act. Carson would not count this favor towards them.

Carson’s affection for the Frost Family members was limited to the branch of Dawson Frost and his wife. As for the others, they were no different from strangers, so naturally, he didn’t feel any closeness or respect towards them.

When Finn Frost and Amari Frost saw Carson bring many Innate Great Grandmasters to help in the fight, they exchanged glances, both seeing surprise and concern in each other’s eyes.

Adriel Frost and the others naturally went to greet the Patriarchs first, but Carson stood with his arms folded, chatting leisurely with Shirley Miller as if he did not even see them.

Seeing this, Finn Frost’s expression darkened slightly, and he immediately felt his temper flare.

Was this young man so arrogant?

In front of countless onlookers, not giving any face to him?

”Carson...”

As soon as Finn Frost spoke up, all eyes around turned to him, focusing on Carson, looking forward to his response.

Carson turned his head, his expression neutral, ”What do you wish to instruct, Old Master?”

Finn Frost’s face darkened. Although ’Old Master’ was indeed a respectful title for the elderly, by seniority, Carson should have called him Great Grandfather!

At least... his attitude should have been more respectful!

Finn Frost said gravely, ”You fought with Desmond Hoffman, shamed Hank Hoffman, and today the Hoffman Family clearly intends to reclaim their dignity. The Hoffman Family being the number one noble house in Xijing, powerfully strong, why must you provoke enmity and create trouble with them?”

Carson chuckled, ”Because I please.”

Carson’s words gave no face to Finn Frost, and Finn’s face immediately showed he couldn’t hang onto his dignity, angrily saying, ”The selection of the Frost Family Head’s successor should be a matter for the Frost Family alone, why make such a big scene, and why provoke enmity with the Hoffman Family? After today’s battle, won’t the grudge and resentment only grow deeper, and won’t the Frost Family and Hoffman Family be set against each other?”

Carson said nonchalantly, ”Old Master, if you can’t sit straight yourself, then don’t blame others. After all, you are a Frost Family Patriarch, should you not maintain some dignity in your actions and speech? Otherwise, it may invite ridicule.”

Finn Frost’s face turned beet red, glaring at Carson, ”What did you say!”

Carson said indifferently, ”I am here today only to help my cousin Adriel, and it has nothing to do with other Frost Family members. You chose Messiah, allowed the Hoffman Family to help him, and now you don’t permit me to help Adriel?”

Leah Frost chimed in with a smiling face, ”Who told you not to have the Frost surname? These two didn’t see you as one of their own.”

Finn Frost glared at Leah Frost, ”Haven’t we made a move before?”

Leah laughed leisurely, ”Second Grandfather, you did make a move, but you know why you did it. Bringing it up now to show goodwill really looks rather bad.”

The onlookers were incredibly surprised by this scene.

It was understandable for Carson to be willful and insubordinate, after having destroyed the Vasquez, Reid, and Wu Long families, and for not taking the two Frost Family Patriarchs seriously. After all, as Leah Frost said, the two Family Patriarchs hadn’t treated Carson as family. But Leah was a genuine member of the Frost Family; how dare she speak to Finn Frost like this?

That’s too bold.

Is she not afraid of being punished by the family law?

The crowd turned their heads and found that Leah’s father, Dawson Frost, hadn’t come.

Could it be he knew that today Carson and others would have a conflict with the Frost Family Patriarchs, so he deliberately stayed away, to make it less awkward for Carson and the others?

Clenching his teeth, Finn Frost stared at Leah Frost, ”Are you planning to take action today?”

Brushing her hair aside, Leah said, ”Adriel is my nephew, his direct Grandfather is no longer here, and Grandfather isn’t strong in a fight and has no say. Even when the grandson was bullied and called you for help, it was ignored. Naturally, as his aunt, I have to stand up for them – alas, fortunately, I have a good nephew to help, otherwise, poor Adriel would have had to swallow his tears.”

Finn Frost said angrily, ”Even if we chose Messiah, that was for the future of the family, without any personal motive. Choosing him doesn’t mean we’ve abandoned Adriel. Can a vast family be supported by just one person?”

Leah replied calmly, ”Messiah is excellent, I know. But you don’t even give Adriel a fair chance to compete, and then you set up such a contest; is this fair? My nephew is right; when you sit crooked, your words change their flavor.”

Fury surged in Finn Frost, ”How dare you! How can you speak to me like this?”

Leah remained unflustered, even chuckling lightly, ”When you can’t win the argument, do you fall back on the status of a family patriarch? These days, it’s the one with the biggest fist who makes the rules. Even you, as the family patriarch, can’t escape this principle—so your shouting at me is pointless. Since you don’t give Adriel a fair chance, then we will fight for it ourselves...”

Her eyes narrowed slightly, her gaze suddenly sharp as a knife, and her tone grew aggressive, ”We are going to claim the position of the next Family Head, and no one will stop us!”
