The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 547: Chapter 547 You’re wrong, he won’t trust anyone_1

”Old Zhou, in this icy and snowy weather, where are you taking me?”

Abel Compton pointed towards a distant valley, ”Carson Flores and an old man are hiding in a cave in that valley, all secretive. No idea what they’re up to, but the two of us, one will hold off the old man while the other slays Carson Flores, then we join forces to assault the old man, kill him, and take what they have in their hands.”

Grady Goodwin didn’t think much of it, after all, he was no less capable than Abel Compton. He wouldn’t think that Abel intended to kill him.

With valuable loot in hand, one might guard against the other biting back, but they hadn’t got the loot yet, had they?

The two walked a bit further and, upon reaching the mouth of the valley, Abel Compton lay down to peer through, then moved aside, ”Old Grady, take a look.”

Grady Goodwin shifted to the valley’s mouth, sticking his head out to look, but saw nothing.

”What the...”

Before Grady Goodwin could finish, a sudden blast of Gang Qi rushed from behind, and instinctively, he channeled his energy to his back and dodged to the side.

”Bang!”

Grady Goodwin, although he dodged mostly, still took a hit.

Taken by surprise, Grady Goodwin spit out a mouthful of blood, his face turning instantly pale. He turned around and shouted angrily, ”Abel Compton, what are you doing?”

”Killing you!”

Abel Compton, eyes red, charged forward, attacking furiously.

He knew very well, with Carson Flores watching from the mountain, if Grady Goodwin didn’t die, he would!

”You’re mad!”

Grady Goodwin, completely shocked, then laughed hideously, ”Even if you ambushed me with a palm strike, killing me won’t be that easy!”

Abel Compton remained silent, attacking like a crazed tiger.

As Grady Goodwin was about to counter, a sharp pain erupted from his stomach. The intense pain accelerated quickly, twisting like a knife, and as the pain flared, his Gang Qi began to disperse chaotically!

”You drugged me!”

Abel Compton’s face turned a fierce red, ”Otherwise, how could I kill you?”

Abel Compton landed three consecutive punches, knocking Grady Goodwin to the ground, his bones shattered, barely clinging to life.

Catching his breath, Abel Compton then took out his phone and dialed Carson Flores’s number, speaking respectfully, ”Mr. Flores, he is at his last breath. Do you have any questions for him, or should I finish him off?”

”Wait.”

Grady Goodwin lay on the ground, covered in blood, looking at Abel Compton with venomous eyes, ”Mr. Flores, which Mr. Flores is it that makes you so willing to sell your life...”

Abel Compton stayed silent, just quietly circulating his energy to heal his injuries.

After a long while, footsteps approached, and Carson Flores and Lilly Compton appeared in front of Grady Goodwin.

Grady Goodwin’s eyes nearly bulged out of his skull at the sight of Carson Flores.

”Carson Flores! It’s actually you!”

Carson Flores gave a slight smile, ”Yes, it’s me. Surprised?”

Grady Goodwin turned to look at Abel Compton, shouting angrily, ”Abel Compton, have you lost your mind? The Sect Master sent you to kill Carson Flores, why do you collude with him to kill me instead?”

Abel Compton replied solemnly, ”I did try, but I failed. My life is Mr. Flores’s to spare; my life belongs to Mr. Flores, so naturally I do whatever he says.”

Grady Goodwin’s eyes widened, ”You failed?”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”That’s right, he tried to assassinate me but wasn’t strong enough. Almost got killed by me instead. To save his own life, you became his commitment to me. Understand?”

Grady Goodwin looked at Carson Flores in shock then glanced around, confirming no one else was present. Seeing Abel Compton’s respectful and submissive demeanor, he finally fully grasped the meaning behind Carson Flores’s words.

”You’re already an Innate Grandmaster?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”I do enjoy seeing that shocked, incredulous look on your faces. I guess Gunner Tate would have the same reaction upon seeing me.”

Grady Goodwin clenched his teeth, his energy suddenly shifted, ”Mr. Flores, if you spare my life, I can serve you. I can help you deal with the Five Dragon Sect and Gunner Tate. He trusts me, and I can even set him up for you!”

Carson Flores shook his head, ”I came here just to allow you to die in the know, not as a wronged spirit. As for a hitman, one is enough; I can always subdue him easily. Besides, if he doesn’t kill you, how can I trust him?”

Carson Flores glanced at Abel Compton and gave a nod.

”Moreover, you’re mistaken. Gunner Tate trusts no one. Shane Fox, you, both not possible; he only trusts himself!”

Abel Compton stepped forward and threw a punch.

Behind, Lilly Compton came forward, took a picture of Grady Goodwin’s corpse, then turned off her phone’s recording.

With this video, Abel Compton, unable to resist Carson Flores, would completely side with him, becoming his hitman, or to put it another way, a ruthless dog ready to tear apart anyone at Carson Flores’s command.

Carson Flores walked up and removed the constraints from Abel Compton, ”You’ve helped me with a problem, so I release you from your restraints. If you want to run, run far away, and don’t let me see you again!”

Abel Compton bowed decisively, ”I have no way back, and besides, Mr. Flores, you have a promising future. I wish to follow and serve you from now on!”

Carson Flores just smiled, ”Up to you!”

Abel Compton’s phone suddenly rang, and he answered, his eyes widening in shock.

”A young woman has attempted an assassination on the Sect Master... claiming to be Carson Flores’s wife?”
