The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 508: Chapter 508: The Rules of the Cave Heaven_1

Carson Flores received an address and Leah Frost leaned in for a look.

”Heavenly Mountain... is this address in a village?”

Carson Flores replied, ”No matter, let’s hurry and depart, her illness can’t be delayed any longer.”

”In her condition, she can’t take a plane, can she?”

Carson Flores shook his head, ”No, the ups and downs would have too great an impact. Help me find an ambulance with two nurses, and I’ll drive there.”

Leah Frost nodded, ”Okay, I’ll arrange it right away. I’ll come with you.”

”Good!”

With the Frost Family’s clout, arranging such a thing was a minor issue. A phone call and an ambulance equipped with a full set of equipment was ready.

Carson Flores carried Samantha Tate onto the ambulance, laid her on the bed, hooked her up to oxygen, then after giving instructions to the two nurses, he took the driver’s seat and started the journey.

The nearly two thousand kilometers journey took Carson Flores an entire day, with several stops along the way to administer Spiritual Energy to Samantha Tate to sustain her life.

The given address was atop Heavenly Mountain, in a village within its bounds. The ambulance couldn’t drive into it.

Carson Flores, carrying Samantha Tate, followed the mountain trail forward, passed through the village, and continued toward more desolate areas, until they found a siheyuan nestled among towering mountains and ridges.

The siheyuan was large and the houses spacious, surrounded by cultivated land, but there were no roads nearby.

Carson Flores and Leah Frost crossed the forested mountains and arrived at the doorstep of the siheyuan.

Carson Flores knocked on the door, his nerves starting to tense up again.

He came with great hopes, dreading they would be met with disappointment.

The door opened, revealing a silver-haired old woman wearing a clean and neat blue cloth dress, her complexion rosy, her spirit hale and hearty, and her eyes sharp as they swept over the two people then settled on Samantha Tate, whom Carson Flores was carrying.

”Carson Flores?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”It’s me...”

”Bring her in,” said the silver-haired old lady calmly, stepping aside to open the door further.

Carson Flores carried Samantha Tate into the house, and under the old woman’s guidance, he placed her on a bed.

”Rest for a while, I’ll go call the young lady,” the old woman said as she stepped onto a blue stone path behind the house, her figure soon vanishing into the surrounding woods.

Carson Flores and Leah Frost exchanged glances, both surprised in their eyes.

Was The Unknown Land hidden among these mountains and forests?

What was this silver-haired old woman who lived here?

A guide?

A gatekeeper?

Or perhaps, a transit point?

Neither of them spoke, as they were unsure what topics might touch upon others’ taboos, so it was better to be cautious.

Half an hour later, footsteps were heard, and three people entered the room.

The silver-haired old lady, the mysterious woman whom they had met once before in the southwest, and an elder with the appearance of a Daoist immortal, hair white as a crane and a youthful face.

The mysterious woman was dressed in a green robe, her demeanor ethereal, like a celestial being.

Carson Flores quickly stood up, ”Ma’am, hello. I’m very sorry to trouble you.”

The woman chuckled softly, ”It’s no bother. I know your medical skills are peerless. For you to be at a loss, the injury must be severe. This is Mr. Qin, the best healer we have here. I asked him to take a look.”

Carson Flores hurriedly bowed, ”Mr. Qin, thank you for your trouble!”

Mr. Qin waved his hand, ”Let’s look at her first.”

Carson Flores promptly stepped aside, and Mr. Qin walked to the bed, one finger resting on Samantha Tate’s wrist. Then, he closed his eyes.

After a long moment, Mr. Qin released his hand, ”Injured by Gang Qi, she is just an ordinary person and cannot withstand such a shock. Most people would have died by now. You’ve used the Resuscitation Technique to forcibly sustain her life, but it’s like trying to revive dead wood...”

Carson Flores asked with anticipation, ”Mr. Qin, is there a way to save her?”

Mr. Qin stroked his beard, pondering for a moment, ”It’s not difficult and yet it’s difficult.”

Carson Flores’s eyes showed delight as he bowed, ”May I ask for clarification?”

Mr. Qin glanced at the young woman next to him and explained softly, ”You should know where we are from, right?”

Carson Flores answered, ”I have some vague knowledge... The Unknown Land, Blessed Land of Cave Heavens, Heavenly Mountain’s Cave.”

The young woman looked at Carson Flores with slight surprise, ”Everyone speaks of The Unknown Land, how do you know about the Blessed Land of Cave Heavens?”

Carson Flores replied, ”Some time ago, I was involved in the exploration of a fallen Unknown Land, and there I learned about the concept of Blessed Land of Cave Heavens.”

Mr. Qin asked in astonishment, ”The shattered Unknown Land, which one did you explore?”

Carson Flores answered candidly, ”Liangchang Mountain.”

Mr. Qin understood, ”The Spiritual Energy of Liangchang Mountain Cave Heaven was exhausted, causing the collapse of the Cave Heaven. It has been five hundred years since, and normally when a Cave Heaven shatters, all is destroyed. But it was said that a powerful being from Liangchang Mountain stopped the collapse single-handedly, yet no one knew where it fell. I didn’t expect it to be discovered by mortals after five hundred years...”

Carson Flores said no more, waiting quietly for Mr. Qin’s explanation.

After a moment of exclaiming, Mr. Qin said with a smile, ”You have some understanding of Cave Heavens, which makes my explanation simpler. In short, in a Cave Heaven, based on the rich Spiritual Energy and with the help of other methods, healing her injuries isn’t difficult. However, Cave Heavens have their rules, and ordinary people from the outside cannot enter. That is the tricky part...”
