Chapter 535: Chapter 535 Valuable Talents Will Be Utilized_1

”Oh?”

Carson Flores raised an eyebrow, ”But they are all your fellow sect brothers. Can your conscience bear to betray them like that? Or perhaps, are you planning to bring in reinforcements, claiming it’s a gesture of allegiance, but in reality, you’re preparing to join forces with them to kill me?”

Abel Compton’s forehead was drenched in sweat. He knew that if he couldn’t think of a full-proof method to earn Carson Flores’s trust, then Carson would not hesitate to kill him.

He was well aware that Carson and the Five Dragon Sect were mortal enemies, the kind that must have one party dead. Given that, Carson killing him to weaken the Five Dragon Sect would certainly not be done with a soft hand.

Carson’s annihilations of the Browning Family, the Miller Family, the Vasquez Family, the death of Maxton James, Shane Fox, and others, all proved that Carson was a ruthless person. He was definitely not someone who would be soft-hearted and lenient with his enemies.

”I’ll only invite one Innate Great Grandmaster to come. At that time, Mr. Flores, you can watch from a distance. After I kill him, you can show up. As for worrying about me escaping, Mr. Flores, with your excellent medical skills, you must have some poison or special technique that you can give me, or apply to me, that causes death after a certain time if I don’t receive the antidote...”

Abel Compton was desperate, blurting out all the methods he could think of to make Carson Flores feel at ease.

As long as he could survive, he was willing to do anything. He would even be willing to become Carson’s dog!

With Carson being so young and formidable, an existence far beyond Gunner Tate’s, given time, Carson would become an unparalleled entity. Being that man’s dog wouldn’t be shameful at all!

Carson Flores nodded, ”Good idea!”

As he spoke, Carson’s figure surged forward, instantly appearing beside Abel Compton, his fingers swiftly touching various points on Abel’s body.

”Vein-Sealing Hand. If you can break free, you can try to run and see if you can escape... Make the call.”

Abel Compton breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed Carson finally abandoned the idea of killing him and was instead preparing to use him.

Good use!

A person with value could be used. A person with value had the capital to survive. If, to Carson, he had no value even for exploitation, then the pit he was standing over might just become his own grave.

”Alright, I’ll make the call right away.”

Abel Compton took out his phone. After careful thought, he prepared to dial the number, still worried about a possible misunderstanding by Carson, he explained, ”That guy and I are not on the best of terms, I need to think of a good reason...”

Carson Flores sneered, ”Using my hand to help you get rid of your enemy, is that it?”

Abel Compton hurriedly denied it, ”No, no, no. I myself will do the killing. Mr. Flores need not trouble himself. There are six Innate Great Grandmasters in the Five Dragon Sect. The strongest is Sect Master Gunner Tate. Among the remaining five, one has a close relationship with me but is currently in closed-door training. Two have an ordinary relationship with me, and one has a bad relationship with me, but this person is also the most loyal to Gunner Tate...”

”I’m thinking, eventually Mr. Flores would have to confront the Five Dragon Sect. After I kill this loyal follower of Gunner Tate, perhaps I can even help Mr. Flores persuade another member to defect. Then dealing with the rest would be easier.”

”Of course, I have my own selfish desires. If I have to kill an Innate Great Grandmaster of the Five Dragon Sect as a gesture of allegiance, I would, of course, prefer to kill Grady Goodwin, who has a good relationship with Gunner Tate, rather than a friend who is on good terms with me. I ask for your promise, Mr. Flores.”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Understandable. From what I hear, your Five Dragon Sect doesn’t seem to be that united, huh?”

Abel Compton gave a wry smile, ”Our Five Dragon Sect has always believed in the supremacy of the strong. The sect is full of factions and cliques, and the Sect Master usually doesn’t interfere with affairs. Speaking of unity, that’s all nonsense...”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Alright, make the call. After all, you’ll do the killing, and I’ll be the audience.”

Abel Compton had already thought of his excuse and, in front of Carson, dialed Grady Goodwin’s number.

”Hey Grady, it’s me, Compton...”

Grady Goodwin asked, puzzled, ”Abel Compton, didn’t I hear you went to Mount Kahdas to look for Carson Flores? Why are you calling me?”

Abel Compton said with feigned secrecy, ”I’ve found traces of Carson Flores, but there’s an old man by his side. I suspect he’s the Innate Great Grandmaster accompanying Carson, so I want to ask for your help. The two of us together will stand a better chance at taking down one.”

Grady Goodwin sounded doubtful, ”Really? Aren’t you and Ethan Roth better friends? If you’re looking for help with this kind of matter, you should be asking him, not me. Our relationship isn’t that friendly, you know.”

Abel Compton laughed, ”But the Sect Master trusts you the most. I’m willing to let you have part of the credit, and then you can speak well of me to the Sect Master... You understand, Grady...”

Grady Goodwin laughed heartily, ”Old Abel, have you come to a realization?”

Abel Compton joined in the laughter, ”The Sect Master has a promising future. If my relationship with the Sect Master is strained, and then one day he gets even more powerful and happens to be in a bad mood, wouldn’t I be out of luck?”

Abel paused for a moment then said mysteriously, ”The people I sent to track them overheard their conversation. They seemed to have had some fortuitous encounter on Mount Kahdas and found something good, but I don’t know what it is.”

Grady Goodwin’s tone immediately turned eager, ”We are all brothers of the sect, and it’s right to help out. I’ll be right there!”
