I Became a Witch and Started an Industrial Revolution

【War brings people into the graveyard，then who can bring war into the graveyard？】

Lolana State

The mixed Army Corps formed by Suria and Seris broke through the solid defensive line composed of the last elite Border Troops of the Mantogol Empire，and advanced toward the Civilian District，but before them there was still one final natural barrier formed by a vast forest。

With the Empire’s elite Corps completely wiped out in the Expeditionary Campaign，the composition of Mantogol’s existing army had changed enormously。

The formerly almost entirely humanoid High-ranking Beastmen had basically all been replaced by elite troops composed of Half-Beastmen Tribal Warriors with beast heads and human bodies from the outer reaches of the Empire。

Half-Beastmen generally had stronger physiques，but were not very bright and refused discipline，they could serve as qualified warriors，but were not qualified soldiers，so in the past they had belonged to marginal second-rate troops。

But now the only ones Mantogol could rely on were these kinsmen they had once looked down upon。

Perhaps in ancient times when close-quarters combat predominated，this armed force could have become the final trump card capable of deciding the battlefield。Unfortunately，the times had ultimately changed。

In the past they would be trampled beneath Mechanical Bodies，and now they likewise could not resist the new Armored Flood。

Their claws could not tear through the Armor composed of Composite Steel Plates，no matter how strong their bodies were they could not withstand the devastation of various Large-caliber Autocannons and High-rate Machine Guns，and even their robust physiques could not withstand being crushed beneath tracks。

They could only use one desperate charge after another to obstruct the Alliance’s advance，because behind them were their tribes，their homes。

And such resistance was not entirely ineffective，at least in Jungle Warfare the Alliance Army did not gain much advantage，wildness and nature complemented one another，and the jungle itself was their natural camouflage。

Within the vast outer Rainforest，venomous insects、snakes and ants constantly appeared from all sorts of unexpected positions，while local Beastmen fired a shot and immediately changed positions，causing extremely serious Non-combat Casualties among the Alliance Army。

The Alliance’s own troops were still fine，the Armorization Rate of its Vanguard Elite Forces had already approached 100% without limit，those operating outside were either Heavy Armor Mechanical Body Teams，or lightly armored Special Operations Battalions，all of whom possessed a certain degree of Jungle Combat Experience，

These trees that could speak Beast Language instead made the Surian soldiers suffer immensely，before their National Hatred and Family Grudges their lives had generally been peaceful and affluent，most Surians had never even seen this damned place，let alone possessed Combat Experience。

The overwhelming majority of the casualties came from Surian soldiers，and the Alliance did not have any particularly good solution to this either，aside from having Engineering Vehicles flatten trees and construct roads，they could only use large numbers of Solidified Gasoline Bombs to burn and blast open a path。

But the effect was actually not particularly good，aside from the heavy moisture of the Rainforest itself，the chaotic terrain also greatly obstructed the advance of the Armored Group，and because it was winter this was actually already a comparatively easy period to pass through。

Even so，Heavy Armored Equipment had basically all been abandoned，replaced by Tracked Infantry Fighting Vehicles and Tracked Assault Guns as Supporting Firepower。

The Paratrooper Units instead took the lead in being airlifted and airdropped to the other side of the Rainforest Barrier，where they established positions and organized a Defensive Line while waiting for the ground assault corridor to be opened。

Fierce battles were taking place among tribes throughout the Rainforest，Challenger Helicopters providing Air Fire Support received the message and rushed to the scene，and after a volley of Rockets the entire small tribe was plunged into a sea of flames。

The main force rushed into the burning tribe whose defenses had been completely shattered，shooting dead the remaining Half-Beastmen who ran out from the ruins。

“Hey，brother，did you see how that guy’s head exploded just now？Let’s massacre the entire village！”

“What’s wrong？The higher-ups said we can’t abuse or kill prisoners，but they haven’t surrendered，and we Surians never signed that agreement anyway。”

As he spoke he shot dead the child of a female Half-Beastman amid her whimpering cries：“Damn it，however they treated us，we have to return it exactly the same way！”

“What？They said no？Sorry brother，I don’t understand Beast Language，just like how they couldn’t understand my mother when she begged them before she died either。”

“Brother，I know what you’re saying is right，but my soul already left together with my mother。”

A six-man Heavy Armor Mechanical Body squad scouting ahead was currently being surrounded and attacked by nearly a hundred Half-Beastmen，facing enemies dozens of times more numerous than themselves they still appeared entirely at ease，because those attacking them were basically Civilians and could not break their defenses at all。

Karl wielded an Alloy Steel Sword and swung it in broad powerful arcs，cutting down Half-Beastmen lunging at him from every direction，in close-quarters combat within Rainforest Jungle terrain where enemies could very easily close the distance，Cold Weapons played a crucial role。

Firearms had greater power，but could not simultaneously deal with enemies charging in from multiple directions，quite a few soldiers had been swarmed in this kind of suicidal human-wave tactic，dragged into close range and literally torn into pieces。

As he raised his armored arm to withstand an attack head-on，amid a sharp ear-piercing screech of metal grinding against metal he reversed his blade and split the attacker in half，only then did Karl stop moving while panting。

Most of the Half-Beastmen lying scattered all around had already stopped breathing，with only a few still showing slight movement in their chests。

Karl walked up to one of the Half-Beastmen，his height of more than three meters allowing him to easily look down upon the other from above。

The ferocious canine head baring sharp fangs panted rapidly，dangerous red light flickered in its Beast Pupils，as though it still wanted to bite Karl once before dying。

Even though half its head had already been flattened，the fact that it could still breathe was already a miracle，and even remaining alive like this was itself an immense torment。

Karl half-knelt and gripped its neck，made a gesture before his chest，then softly said：“May we meet in our next lives，at the Dawn Without Imperialism。”

‘Crack’

The Rainforest was both the natural barrier surrounding the Empire and the homeland upon which the Half-Beastmen depended for survival，every step forward would face the fiercest counterattack from the other side。

And every step forward by the Alliance represented the erasure of large numbers of Half-Beastmen Tribes。Faith，Courage，could not stop the Alliance’s advance。

Glax Imperial Capital，the political、cultural and economic center of the Britian Empire

A piece of terrible news rapidly spread throughout the Empire，Emperor Babak I had passed away in his sleep last night，leaving the Britian Imperial Throne vacant。

This terrible news made the Empire that was already engulfed in turmoil even more unstable，as the absolute Imperial Pillar，the Father of All People，Emperor Babak I possessed unparalleled prestige among the common people。

Even now when the entire Empire had fallen into turmoil，the slogans raised by the rebels were still things similar to Purge the Emperor’s Side，which showed just how much influence he held。In a certain sense，his existence was the prerequisite for the Empire’s continued stability。

But now this person had suddenly disappeared，and no matter which side they belonged to，everyone found it somewhat difficult to accept。

Especially the Young Noble Faction led by Dennis and the others，they had previously felt that waiting for Emperor Babak to peacefully abdicate seemed to take far too long，while the Empire might be completely crushed before that happened。

They had already made preparations to assassinate Emperor Babak I，and the plan was already being written。

Huh？Now the old Emperor had taken the first step and left ahead of them？Then what were they supposed to do now？
