Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 340: Chapter 338: Luna’s Battle Gains

While Gu Xi was documenting his insights in the library, Luna had also returned with her troops once again.

Upon hearing that Gu Xi was in the city, Luna immediately sought him out.

”Sir.”

”Luna, you’re here. How did it go? Was the battle successful?”

Seeing Luna, Gu Xi smiled. Wasn’t he always looking for a way to deal with the transformation of dead things into the Undead?

The answer was right in front of him.

Luna looked at Gu Xi’s cheerful appearance, a bit puzzled, ”Sir, what happened?”

”Nothing much, I just trained a batch of Skeleton Mirror Guards. Take them with you and see if they’re suitable for battles in the mirror image.”

”Alright.” Although not knowing what Skeleton Mirror Guards were, Luna agreed right away.

Just like when Luna wanted to choose a Forbidden Guard for Gu Xi, Gu Xi would also think of Luna whenever something came up.

Then their conversation shifted to the battles in the mysterious mirror image space.

This time, Luna had secured three more key nodes.

If not for the substantial gains that required her return to digest, Luna might have continued fighting.

”I brought back all the eerie corpses, including the three major eerie creatures and many smaller ones killed on the road. Don’t worry, sir, I now control more than a quarter of the mirror image space’s authority.

Once I digest this wave, dealing with those eerie creatures will become much easier.”

”You handle the battles as you see fit, and just send the corpses back. I’ve already found a way to deal with these eerie creatures. Even if they can resurrect, it will take three to five days.

Feel free to rampage these few days, leave it to me.”

”I believe in you, sir.”

Luna confidently said.

Hearing Luna say this, Gu Xi also smiled.

Afterwards, Gu Xi put down what he was doing and took Luna to see the Skeleton Mirror Guards.

The Skeleton Mirror Guards in night attire flickered in front of Luna. With each movement, Luna could immediately see their position.

”Not bad.” After trying them out for a while, Luna nodded with satisfaction, ”They can move quickly within the mirror image, and the ability to perform mirror movement means they can fight within the mirror. This means another node can be taken.”

After taking the Skeleton Mirror Guards, Luna brought Gu Xi to the eerie corpses and told him about the three nodes she had captured this time.

Having previously captured two nodes, Luna’s authority in the mysterious mirror image space had increased significantly, making these three nodes somewhat more capable.

The most challenging one was a giant white-scaled snake residing in a woodland made of mirror fragments.

He could move freely within the mirrors, but his true lethal move wasn’t there; it was his ability to reflect attacks.

He could bounce back all the magic cast upon him.

Especially light-based magic, which had a 100% reflection effect.

Ultimately, it was the Heavy Armor Zombies left by Gu Xi that held him off, allowing the Zombie Axe and Shield Soldiers to smash him to death with their shields.

During the attack, many Skeleton Soldiers and Zombies were devoured by the giant snake, making it one of the most heavy-loss battles.

But the results after taking it down were quite significant.

Now Luna had already mastered the giant snake’s magic reflection ability, and she could reflect back most of the attack magic.

Aside from this node, the other two nodes weren’t difficult to take.

One of these nodes was a maze composed of many flat mirrors, a common tactic of the mirror eeriness. Once the maze was successfully set up, often only one person was needed to become a massive army.

At the same time, just a small area could create a huge labyrinth, causing people to get lost in it.

The owner of this maze was similar in form to the mirror magician killed previously, being humanoid but without a complete face. He could take the appearance of anyone entering the maze.

This allowed him to blend in the maze and launch sneak attacks on the enemy.

He could be considered quite formidable.

However, Luna’s calculations accounted for his methods, and his tricks proved ineffective. At first sight of the enemy’s abilities, Luna immediately dispatched the Ghost Squad.

Gu Xi’s Ghost Squad, though not powerful, looked quite intimidating.

A single Ghost could pretend to be dozens of Ghosts.

Luna filled the entire mirror maze with Ghosts, effectively bursting it apart.

Even the major eerie creature himself couldn’t tell which Ghosts were real and which were fake.

He attacked the Ghost Squad using the maze, but whenever he appeared, nearby Ghosts would immediately launch an attack on him.

The response was as if all the Ghosts were one entity.

Despite his strength being level 7, outside of the mirror maze, his combat ability was quite lacking.

Therefore, under the attack of the Ghost Squad, he was quickly killed, and when dragged out, his corpse was in pieces.

At the same time, Luna found that the Ghost Squad was rather fond of the mirror maze. If this wasn’t a node that needed to be captured, Luna would have let them stay there.

Hearing this, Gu Xi laughed.

”It seems the Ghost Squad is hell-bent on taking their intimidation to the extreme.”

After laughing, Gu Xi listened to Luna’s account of the last major eerie creature.

This major eerie creature was also humanoid and the most ambitious among the eerie. He was a person sealed in a mirror, whose daily task was to place more mirrors elsewhere, trying to drag everyone into them.

Forming a world within the mirrors.

Though his strength was lacking, he was the origin of this mysterious mirror image space.

It was his efforts, in conjunction with those wielding mirror power, that eventually led to the formation of this perplexing mirror image space.

Upon killing him, Luna learned a lot about the mysterious mirror image space from him.

Including the situations of other major eerie creatures that collaborated to form this mysterious mirror image space.

This is why Luna needed to digest this information upon returning. Once fully aware of the enemy’s situation, Luna could conquer all major eerie creatures, claiming the entire mysterious mirror image space.

Listening to Luna’s explanation, Gu Xi understood Luna’s current predicament.

He assured Luna, ”You just focus on doing what you need to. I’ll be in Yalidu City for the next few days, waiting for you to conquer the mysterious mirror image space.”
