Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 309: Chapter 307: Battleground Treasure Snatching

Gao Ta and Liu Fei exchanged a glance and nodded simultaneously.

They also knew the fame of Death City, but had never entered Death City to take a look.

Let alone enjoy the conveniences of Death City.

Now with such an opportunity, they naturally wanted to give it a try.

However, Gao Ta still said, ”Is it really okay for us to enter your city like this?”

”Don’t worry, you can’t get in, close the gate.”

Under Gu Xi’s command, the gate of the Steel City Gate was closed.

Only then did Gu Xi say to Liu Fei, ”Next, I’ll have to trouble you. Please wait here in front of the gate, and I’ll deploy you.”

Gu Xi pointed at the closed gate, Liu Fei nodded and stood in the position of the gate opening.

As Liu Fei stepped in, Gu Xi secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

The Steel City Gate can be equipped with a defense trio of inner door, weng city, and battlements. These do not count as buildings and do not require time, just sufficient materials.

So Gu Xi could close the gate, otherwise, his main city gate wouldn’t even have a gate, let alone a sub-city gate.

After closing the inner door, Gu Xi waved his hand and the Steel City Gate disappeared.

Meanwhile, the Death Incarnation received Gu Xi’s order, opened its mouth, and unleashed a blast of Death Dragon Breath on the three Hellfires below.

The Death Incarnation’s level far surpassed the Hellfires, and the power of its Death Dragon Breath was evidently much stronger.

When directly hit by the Death Dragon Breath, the Hellfire exploded on the spot, turning into burning green stones on the ground.

The effect of the Death Dragon Breath lasted a while longer, and the Death Incarnation continued without pause, sweeping its head to direct the Death Dragon Breath onto the other two Hellfires.

At this time, Gu Xi also raised his hand, and the Steel City Gate appeared at the spot where the first Hellfire was killed in action.

As soon as the Steel City Gate was set down, Liu Fei burst out from it, diving straight towards the shattered Hellfire.

You could see his hands moving rapidly, injecting countless Soul Fragments into the broken pieces of the Hellfire.

In less than thirty seconds, a green Crystal appeared in Liu Fei’s hand.

Liu Fei pocketed the Crystal and quickly dashed towards another direction.

There were still two Hellfire corpses that needed his attention.

The time left for him was not much, not to mention he was in a rather dangerous position. Although Gu Xi’s Death Incarnation was right in front of him, Liu Fei couldn’t be sure if Gu Xi would risk his life to protect him.

So Liu Fei could only hasten towards the second Hellfire corpse, quickly setting to work.

And at this moment, the Death Incarnation was on a killing spree. After exhausting its Death Dragon Breath, it landed to continue the combat with its body.

The body of the Death Incarnation was peculiar, hard as steel when attacking others, but ghost-like and intangible when attacked.

With such a strange body, coupled with the Starfire Nightmare Shadow on it, it killed numerous enemies immediately.

However, after landing, the Death Incarnation had to face enemy attacks. Even if it could evade more than half and ignore most of the damage, damage was still damage.

The Life Force of the Death Incarnation was gradually depleting, and the Starfire Nightmare Shadow around it was turning increasingly crimson.

The black mist on its body was almost turning into red mist.

Just then, Liu Fei completed the handling of the last Hellfire corpse and quickly ran towards Gu Xi’s Steel City Gate.

At this moment, Gu Xi wasn’t as relaxed as when he cooperated with Gao Ta earlier. Without the support of the city gate, the pressure on Gu Xi increased significantly. Even Amirka, who had dashed out, returned to defend in front of Gu Xi.

Yet, Arroyo and Robbie, leading Gu Xi’s two troops, were still slaughtering among the Demon and monster troops, preparing enough corpses for Gao Ta’s Soul Summoning Skill.

”It’s done, Liu Fei finished his task.”

Seeing the enemy troops charging in, Gu Xi raised his gaze, pushed forward with his hand, and the Steel City Gate slammed down on the enemy’s path.

With the inner door opening, Liu Fei, holding three green Crystals, rushed over.

”How did it go?”

Gao Ta and Gu Xi quickly gathered around.

This wasn’t the time for politeness; good items should obviously be obtained immediately.

”All successful, here, this is yours, Gu Xi, this is yours.”

As Liu Fei spoke, a green Crystal was thrust into Gu Xi’s hand.

[You have obtained a dead Hellfire Core (gray).]

[Dead Hellfire Core (gray): A killed Hellfire Core, processed by an Undead Mage, suppresses the special energy within to prevent the re-summoning of Hellfire. It can be used as a main material for high-energy Undead creation.]

After glancing at the attributes of the Hellfire Core, Gu Xi nodded in satisfaction.

Gu Xi then immediately handed this Hellfire Core to an undead, ordering it to be sent back to Yalidu City.

This kind of thing definitely couldn’t be held in hand; it needed to be stored in the Warehouse.

Seeing such convenient actions, both Gao Ta and Liu Fei were somewhat envious.

Without a city of their own, they had to put such valuable items in their backpack, perpetually on edge, fearing someone might accidentally steal it.

But now, Gu Xi didn’t have the leisure to think about these matters.

Having acquired what they wanted, they naturally returned their focus to attacking the enemy.

If not, they would waste this golden opportunity.

”Gao Ta, get ready.”

Gu Xi swiftly ran up to the battlements of the Steel City Gate, beginning once again to cast spells onto the distant battlefield.

This time, Gu Xi didn’t use offensive spells since his troops were already engaged with the enemy.

So, Gu Xi immediately employed the Skeleton Priest spell to enhance his Undead Corps’ combat power and restore their Life Force.

At this moment, letting the Undead Corps fight was what Gu Xi should do.

In the face of such a method, the Demon Players on the opposing side also prepared to unleash their utmost abilities, after all, if they didn’t, they would perish here.

Yet, just as they were about to unveil their hidden trump cards, a Demon Player accidentally glanced upwards.

”Shit, what is that?”

”Why are you yelling? Ever since thirty Red Dragons appeared in the sky, I won’t be scared by anything up there anymore, oh shit!”

All the Demon Players were shaken by the sight before them; thousands of ghosts appeared in the sky, a dense mass blackening the heavens, shattering everyone’s courage.
