Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 317: Chapter 315: Major Urban Construction, Digestion of Gains

In front of the Assembly Hall of Yalidu City, Gu Xi’s figure slowly appeared.

Before he could take in his surroundings, Gu Xi saw a figure walk to his side, standing slightly behind him on the left.

Curious, Gu Xi turned his head and couldn’t help but be startled.

Since when did his Yalidu City have living people?

No, this wasn’t a living person.

The one standing beside Gu Xi had a height of about 1.85 meters, smooth pale purple skin, and delicate facial features.

Gu Xi mistook this girl for a living person purely because her eyes were spirited, even quite captivating.

Hidden within her gray hair was a pair of small horns bending backward, and below her shapely body were slender backward-curving hooves.

A long tail extended from behind her.

She looked somewhat like a Draenei.

However, Gu Xi quickly realized that this was the Corpse Charm Demon assigned to him earlier.

It seemed this Corpse Charm Demon really had some qualities; if it weren’t for his current aching waist, he’d surely take a close look at the structure of the Corpse Charm Demon.

Under Gu Xi’s scrutiny, the Corpse Charm Demon showed no restraint; instead, she raised her head, puffed out her chest, and showcased her beauty.

Just as Gu Xi was observing, Luna appeared behind him.

”Sir, do you want to develop this Corpse Charm Demon?”

”Ah, no need for specific development. By the way, how is the sorting of the items delivered going? Is Kane done categorizing them?” Gu Xi blushed and quickly changed the subject.

”It’s sorted already, and the Ghost Yin Fruit Tree has been planted not far ahead. If you want to develop Corpse Charm Demons, we can think of ways, considering their innate attributes are quite excellent.”

As Luna spoke, she displayed the attributes of the Corpse Charm Demon to Gu Xi.

[Corpse Charm Demon (Level 4, Summoned Creature): Experience (0/750), Attack 6, Defense 6, Life 20, Ammunition 8, Skills: Undead Creatures, Ranged Counterattack (Can counterattack enemy ranged attacks), Painful Delight (Only suffers 80% damage when attacked, 20% reflected to the attacker.)]

Seeing the Corpse Charm Demon’s attributes, Gu Xi felt her combat level was unexpectedly good.

However, Gu Xi did not agree immediately; instead, he looked at Luna.

”Luna, why are you being so proactive?”

”Isn’t it just that you don’t have any close bodyguard units under you? With the Ghost Yin Fruit Tree planted, we have one hundred and fifty ghost yin fruits daily, we can’t let them go to waste.

I plan to prepare one hundred and fifty elite guards for you, to protect you.”

”You sure have ideas, haven’t you? Has Yalidu been idle lately to think of all this?”

Gu Xi smiled helplessly.

”Idle, not really idle, but not too busy either, just some matters need to be prepared in advance, after all, you already have heroes under you, then the troops will be distributed between heroes and bosses.

We can’t end up with you having no troops of your own.”

”So what have you been thinking?”

Gu Xi asked with a smile.

”I thought about it; with one hundred and fifty ghost yin fruits daily, and we have fifty Withered, if we add fifty Corpse Charm Demons and fifty soldiers for close combat, then the combat power in various aspects is complete.”

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi couldn’t help but shake his head.

”Luna, your idea is right, but there is one thing you didn’t consider, which is not just fifty soldiers, but the source of backup forces among the soldiers.

If we only have these troops but no place to replenish forces, what do we do if soldiers die in battle?

I’m an Undead Mage, I can’t look at subordinates as precious as other players do.

Without replenishing forces, the team will become mixed in the end, it’s better to choose from ordinary soldiers from the start.”

Listening to Gu Xi’s words, Luna fell silent for a moment.

She understood that Gu Xi’s words were all correct, but truly using ordinary soldiers as guards?

There’s no character in that.

It’s nowhere near as flashy as the combination of Corpse Charm Demons and Withered.

So Luna still said, ”But we have the Eternal Enslavement Altar. If they’re not enough, just resurrect the dead troops; no fear of insufficient soldiers.”

”But there’s only a fifty percent resurrection chance, at the end it will still deplete troops.”

Seeing Luna looking frustrated, Gu Xi reached out and tapped her comfortingly.

”Alright, don’t think about this now. Harvest the Ghost Yin Fruits, look for a place to store them and I’ll study them further before using them.”

”No, sir, I just checked the attributes of Ghost Yin Fruits; they need to be eaten on the same day; by the next day they lose their effect.”

Gu Xi was stunned for a moment, surprised by this limitation, so he could only say, ”Then let the Undead Heroes eat them, first enhance the attributes and qualities of Undead Heroes.

Others will be considered after the Training Camp is built.

By the way, did the fusion of the abandoned old hut land title sent back last time complete?”

”It’s merged, adding 2 points of city experience, since there are no large plots it was merged into the Giant Graveyard District.

Also, the three Demonized Cyclops bodies sent in before were delivered to the Giant Graveyard District.

They should be buried underground in the Giant Graveyard District to enhance the attributes of the Giant Graveyard District.”

”Alright, I know about this.”

Gu Xi initially considered keeping the Demonized Cyclops bodies for research, to see if he could create a Corpse Cyclops or a giant Abomination.

But Luna thought they should be buried in the Giant Graveyard District, and Gu Xi wouldn’t insist on keeping them; he just asked.

”How’s the effect?”

”Very good, the abandoned old hut land title just merged in has already carried the Giant Graveyard District attributes; it can be considered part of the Giant Graveyard District.”

”As long as there’s an effect.”

Gu Xi nodded.

At this moment, Gu Xi and others began discussing the matter of the Energy Treasure Pearl.

Regarding this building, even without Gu Xi’s reminder, Luna would have watched it closely for construction.

”Sir, rest assured; after the Witch’s House is built, I’ve already arranged for the Soul Treasure Pearl; it’s currently under construction.”

”That’s good. By the way, has the Witch’s House been completed?

Where is it built, let’s take a look.”

Upon hearing the Witch’s House was built, Gu Xi got interested.

The Witch’s House can sell three kinds of potions or items with different qualities and effects daily; Gu Xi wanted to see what kind of outputs this Witch’s House had.

”Alright, this time the Witch’s House is built in the Magic Plant District, originally planned to link nearby Burial Tree Pitt and Rotting Swamp for synergy, but this plan is temporarily on hold.”

Luna continued introducing the situation to Gu Xi while leading him in that direction.
