The shopkeeper coming out of the store was an old man whose age was hard to guess. His steps were already very slow, but when he reached the automatic noodle vending machine, his hand movements were not slow at all.

He just moved his finger a little and pressed back the spring that had popped out.

Then he looked around but couldn’t find the green button that had flown off, so he casually found a piece of wood, wrote the word ”beef” on it, and pressed it in forcefully.

After doing all this, the old man looked at Gu Xi: ”You want beef noodles, right? Come in.”

Gu Xi was a bit puzzled. Isn’t this an automatic noodle vending machine? Why do I need to go in?

When Gu Xi entered the store, he realized that he was truly overthinking it.

This so-called automatic noodle vending machine was just an iron frame. Inserting coins outside was just to make the bell inside the store ring, and everything after that still required the old man to operate.

The prepared food would be sent to the pickup area below to be taken.

So whether using the automatic noodle vending machine outside or eating inside the store, the situation was the same.

Gu Xi found a seat and sat down, hoping that this time the amount of noodles would be more and not as little as the bird feed at Wudou Mine’s House.

While the old man was preparing the noodles, Gu Xi also took out the coin and the green button and began to study them seriously.

[Defense: 5]

[After equipping: Constitution +2]

[Equipment Requirement: Power 2]

[Special 1: Food of Life, can be activated proactively during combat to instantly replenish all life, usable three times a day.]

[Description: Look, this bowl of noodles is wide and long.]

Looking at this helmet that looked like a noodle bowl, Gu Xi felt uncomfortable.

Although the attributes of this helmet were quite acceptable, he really didn’t want to walk around with a bowl on his head, not even during combat.

It would damage his image as an Undead Mage.

Secretly putting away the Bowl of Joy, Gu Xi glanced at the old man making noodles and lowered his head to study the special coin.

[Special Coin (Blue): A coin used for divination, can be used to perform divination on something, or prevent others from performing divination on you. More effective with divination skills.]

Looking at the ten-yuan coin with a hole in the middle, Gu Xi thought for a moment, then rummaged through his pocket, found a thin red string, and strung the coin on it, wearing it on his left wrist.

These things were quite useful to Gu Xi. After all, in matters of divination, you may not believe it, but you cannot be unprepared.

After Gu Xi tidied up his things, the old man was just serving up the noodles.

”Sir, your noodles.”

Looking at the large bowl of noodles in front of him, with thick beef on top, Gu Xi couldn’t help but sigh, this is a human’s portion.

The previous bird feed only allowed one to taste the flavor.

”Thank you!”

Gu Xi picked up his chopsticks and began eating heartily.

Seeing Gu Xi eating so happily, the old man also smiled.

While eating the noodles, Gu Xi only felt a warm current rising from his abdomen straight to his head.

Having not slept well the night before, Gu Xi suddenly felt refreshed, as if he had slept for three days and nights.

This feeling made Gu Xi look up at the old man.

He found that the old man had already gone off to tend to his own tasks, without even glancing up.

At this point, Gu Xi didn’t intend to say much, he quickly ate the noodles to fill his stomach.

While Gu Xi was eating, he suddenly heard a bell ring.

He looked up and saw someone outside fiddling with the automatic noodle vending machine.

But this person’s expression seemed a bit off, as if he was looking for something.

Gu Xi frowned, could this be a player?

With this thought, Gu Xi observed the man.

Gu Xi noticed that the man, like him, was dressed like an office worker, in a simple suit, with nothing suspicious about him.

However, his movements didn’t seem like those of a mortal of this world. While waiting at the automatic noodle vending machine, he was observing his surroundings, unlike the usual mortals of this world who don’t usually look around like that.

Seems like a player, just not sure from which city.

Gu Xi was about to step forward to handle the situation, but to his surprise, the old man had already responded, walking leisurely from the stove to the doorway.

As the old man walked out, Gu Xi felt as if the temperature in the store dropped a bit without the old man’s presence.

Moreover, Gu Xi could clearly hear a knocking sound coming from the pot where the old man had been cooking.

Gu Xi glanced over there but didn’t go to check. Instead, he recalled the intelligence information he had gathered.

He realized that in the strange situations he knew of, there was no description of the current scenario.

So, Gu Xi suppressed some of the impulses in his heart and continued to eat seriously.

By then, the old man had led the man outside into the store.

Gu Xi could clearly feel the man’s face reflecting a sense of unwillingness.

It seems he also got information about the ”Mysterious Item of the Future World.”

And those who value treasures so much are definitely players from the other two cities.

After all, unlike the players from Bailian City who easily dropped out of the rankings, they still have to fight for a place on the leaderboard, and losing a treasure means losing a chance to advance in the rankings.

So it’s natural for this player to feel unwilling.

Even though he had already collected all the treasure’s information, he was still a step too late.

This made the man somewhat displeased.

When he entered the door, his steps became heavier.

Upon entering, his first glance was at Gu Xi, who was about to finish eating.

Seeing Gu Xi enjoying his meal leisurely, the man became angry at once.

He had already realized that Gu Xi was his enemy, the one who had taken his treasure.

Without waiting for the old man to react, the man punched Gu Xi.

Gu Xi hadn’t expected this guy to dare attack in broad daylight and was caught off guard, hit in the face.

This angered Gu Xi, and he turned around and kicked the guy away.

Just as Gu Xi was about to get up and retaliate, the old man also made a move.
