Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 322: Chapter 320: New Day’s Settlement and Beginning

At six in the morning, the disappearing Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin Statue appeared once again in the center of the city.

All the Tenshou Pavilions quickly reverted back to single-story houses, and the previously widened streets also returned to their original state. All the demons wandering the streets retreated back.

At this moment, Gu Xi also saw a message pop up in front of him.

[A new day begins, now settling yesterday’s information:

Yalidu City: Player ranked at 319, 49 died in battle or exited, 1 on the leaderboard.

Cold Leaf City: Player ranked at 320, 117 died in battle or exited, 203 on the leaderboard.

Qiufeng City: Player ranked at 320, 102 died in battle or exited, 218 on the leaderboard.]

Below this information was today’s updated leaderboard.

Ranked first on the leaderboard was a player from Qiufeng City, named An Hongyun, who apparently had a nickname ’Spirit Behind,’ accumulating 16 points, not very far ahead of the players behind.

You Songsheng from Bailian City was the only Bailian City player on the leaderboard, but with only 6 points, ranking already over 300.

It seems he is a sensible guy, knowing that Bailian City players are now focused on killing players from Cold Leaf City and Qiufeng City.

He just needs to maintain himself on the leaderboard.

But with his standing, he probably won’t survive to the third day.

For players in Bailian City, traitors are more deserving of death than enemies.

After Gu Xi finished reading the information, Wudou Minami came up from downstairs.

”Breakfast is ready.”

Gu Xi smiled at Wudou Minami, tidied himself up a bit, and then went downstairs to prepare to eat.

But when he saw the food on the table, Gu Xi couldn’t help but shake his head.

Others might have a diet meal, but what he saw in front of him was clearly like bird feed.

”Is this all?”

Gu Xi looked at a small plate with only three pieces of dried radish, a piece of seaweed, and a small plate with less soup than the sauce, somewhat puzzled.

”Ah, isn’t breakfast supposed to be like this? I made it very delicious.”

Seeing Wudou Minami’s earnest expression, Gu Xi chose to trust her.

He picked up his chopsticks and started eating in small bites.

Wudou Minami, supporting her little face, watched happily with rosy cheeks.

”How is it? Tasty?”

Looking at Wudou Minami, what could Gu Xi say? Could he say he only tasted the flavor and felt nothing else?

Gu Xi quickly changed the topic, planning to find something else to eat outside later. If not, returning to Yalidu City also works; he definitely doesn’t want to have this bird feed again.

”By the way, I’m going to the city later. Take a look at these addresses, where they are, and how to get there more easily.”

Upon hearing Gu Xi mention business, Wudou Minami stopped watching Gu Xi eat and took the addresses Gu Xi had written down seriously.

However, many addresses were far from Wudou Minami, and there were many places she had never been to, so she could only search the telephone directory and compare maps and bus stations before finally planning a travel route for Gu Xi.

After drawing the route, Wudou Minami asked somewhat puzzledly.

”Gu Sang, what are you doing in these places?”

”Just want to look around. You know those famous internet spots, just checking in places.”

Wudou Minami did not believe Gu Xi’s explanation at all.

Which city’s KFC would rank high as a popular check-in spot?

That’s absolutely impossible.

But Wudou Minami knew very well that it’s best not to meddle in men’s affairs.

So she just helped Gu Xi by drawing the route, nothing more.

As for other eerie matters, Gu Xi didn’t plan to ask Wudou Minami anymore.

Some eerie things belong to the whole city’s range of movement and are easier to talk about; perhaps Wudou Minami has heard of them, but those things with territories, once out of this area, Wudou Minami might not know.

So Gu Xi’s goal today was searching for treasures.

As for killing eerie things, it depends on luck while searching for treasures.

After finishing breakfast, Gu Xi picked up his stuff and said to Wudou Minami, ”I’ll be back before dinner.”

”Okay, I’ll prepare the bathwater and dinner for you.”

Gu Xi smiled and walked out of the guesthouse’s door.

At this time, Gu Xi still carried his briefcase, looking like a working man, but his direction wasn’t towards the station; Gu Xi was heading to the nearest treasure location from there.

It was the only treasure location in this area.

After going out, Gu Xi didn’t walk but, holding a try-out mentality, summoned his mount—the Evil Coffin.

As Gu Xi suspected, the Evil Coffin was also affected, turning into a bicycle related to Gu Xi.

However, the Flame Footprint installed on the Evil Coffin didn’t seem to work well. As Gu Xi rode the bicycle forward, sparks kept flashing from the bike chain.

This is what others say, riding a bike with foot chains sparking.

With the bicycle, Gu Xi found it much easier to go anywhere.

After all, the Evil Coffin’s moving speed is faster than even the train.

Plus, Gu Xi had already handed the map drawn by Wudou Minami to the Evil Coffin. He just needed to pretend to be riding a bike, while the rest was the Evil Coffin taking Gu Xi flying.

It wasn’t long before Gu Xi arrived at the first location recorded in the information.

A shop that seemed to have a history of over a hundred years, though, this shop played with flair.

At the shop’s entrance, it surprisingly stated ’Automatic Ramen Vending Machine.’

When Gu Xi approached, he found the vending machine a bit incomprehensible; the machine’s shell was made of iron sheet, and upon closer inspection, it seemed like this thing wasn’t powered.

Could this be an eerie manipulation?

And Gu Xi’s target this time was this Automatic Ramen Vending Machine.

Because this treasure’s name sounds rather cool.

[Future World Mysterious Object (Treasure): A mysterious creation from a future world, the most powerful collection box of the future world. When hidden, no one will discover it unless you get the map recording the mysterious object’s location.]

[Treasure Location: Black Knight Alley, No. 917, counting from left to right the third green button in front of the Automatic Ramen Vending Machine.]

[Treasure Content: Mysterious Treasure Chest (White) *1, Special Coins *1]

Now looking at the ’Automatic Ramen Vending Machine’ in front of him, Gu Xi was somewhat skeptical.

He hesitated for a moment but eventually walked up, counted the third green button from left to right, and forcefully pressed it.

Pop!

The green button immediately bounced out, hitting Gu Xi’s forehead.

After the spring, Gu Xi saw a 10-yuan coin stuck in the button position.

Holding the bounced button and coin, Gu Xi turned to look at the shopkeeper coming out the door.

”This machine is broken.”
