Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 312: Chapter 310: Two New Heroes

Listening to Gu Xi’s words, Zuo Ya and the others burst into laughter.

They understood that this was Gu Xi being modest. What Undead Mage wouldn’t want their undead to be more numerous and powerful?

After thanking Gu Xi, Zuo Ya instructed Gao Ta to select the undead according to Gu Xi’s wishes.

However, when it came to the undead heroes, Zuo Ya did not listen to Gu Xi.

”Brother Gu, if you continue to be so modest, you’ll take all three undead heroes with you.”

Seeing Zuo Ya with such a serious expression, Gu Xi could only say, ”Alright, then I won’t hold back.”

In the end, Gu Xi was given two undead heroes, both of impressive quality.

One of the undead heroes was a Ghost Hero, which Gu Xi didn’t have under his command.

This was a new find with the help of Gao Ta’s soul summoning skill, which wouldn’t have appeared if Gao Ta hadn’t leveled up by 8 levels.

[Lewis (Level 4, Summoned Creature, Undead Hero): Experience (0/8000), Attack 1, Defense 1, Life 45, Mana 10, Talent: Ghost (after Level 3, for each level up, ghost unit’s attack and defense +1), Skills: Ghost Body (can automatically restore life in battle), Overcast (can change battlefield weather to overcast), Leader (can command 59 soldiers + 7 boss units at the same time).]

Looking at the hero’s attributes being presented to him, Gu Xi glanced surprisingly at Gao Ta.

”What’s wrong? Is there a problem with this hero?”

”Undead Enhancement, even heroes can be enhanced?”

”Isn’t that something? Just admit it, wasn’t he summoned by my soul summoning?”

Alright, Gu Xi hadn’t expected the soul summoning skill to have such handy benefits.

If in the future the undead enhancement could be leveled to 20, wouldn’t a single summoning bring forth a powerful Level 20 hero?

Just thinking about it seemed awesome.

However, Gu Xi soon realized that leveling up the undead enhancement was not that simple.

Aside from anything else, just the daily reading demands an enormous amount of time, and unlike the soul summoning skill, undead enhancement can’t gain experience through repeated use of skills, it can only be improved through reading.

The amount of time this would take is not trivial.

So Gu Xi could only dream about it, not directly boost the undead enhancement to Level 20.

With a Ghost Hero in hand, Gu Xi immediately assigned the Ghost Squad to Lewis, along with the remaining ghosts in Gu Xi’s team.

In truth, the ghosts suffered the most losses in Gu Xi’s team; the ghosts that vanished from the guild are now entirely gone, fallen in battle at some unknown point.

Now the ghosts under Gu Xi’s command were just the 100 ghosts traded at the guild, even these had suffered losses, with fewer than 60 remaining.

However, Gu Xi wasn’t worried about this at all, as he had the complete architectural design plan for the ghosts, intending to build them when he returned, producing any kind of ghost he needed.

When that time comes, Lewis would be ecstatic.

Compared to Lewis, the other hero was a bit mediocre, looking like a dejected zombie in a tattered suit, head bowed, wearing glasses, with just a few hairs on his head, almost reading a newspaper.

But his attributes weren’t weak, surprisingly being a decent magic hero.

[Brave Fight (Level 4, Summoned Creature, Undead Hero): Experience (0/8000), Attack 0, Defense 1, Life 30, Mana 50, Talent: Eagle Eye (has a certain chance of learning enemy heroes’ skills and magic), Skills: Secret Technique Book (can record various spells and use them in battle), Ritual Magic (can command mage units to use super powerful spells together), Leader (can command 66 soldiers + 7 boss units at the same time).]

Although it was unclear why this hero was called Brave Fight, his talent for learning spells was quite impressive.

After considering for a moment, Gu Xi assigned the Skeleton Mages to him, along with the Skeleton Mage Boss who had been with Gu Xi for a long time.

Then Gu Xi looked at the undead bosses, and like the undead heroes, these new undead bosses and undead heroes were all Level 4. To express goodwill, Gao Ta specially selected some good-quality undead bosses and heroes for Gu Xi.

Arranged by Gao Ta, the undead bosses had already automatically divided the three thousand undead corps.

Now they stood in front of Gu Xi, waiting for his orders.

Gu Xi glanced at them and then at his own forces.

In this battle, Gu Xi lost over eight hundred undead troops, with the main losses coming from the cannon fodder and Amirka’s team.

The cannon fodder losses were due to their weakness, playing a one-for-one game, while Amirka was positioned at the core of the demons at the start of the battle.

Although he used his deployment abilities for adjustments, Amirka’s forces were still lacking, especially since Gu Xi wasn’t focused on that side initially, causing a significant loss of manpower.

However, the Black Spear Camp and Bone-Slaying Camp didn’t suffer many losses due to their combat style and are now fully recovered.

Seeing the situation in front of him, Gu Xi nodded in satisfaction.

This is how an Undead Mage should operate.

After every major battle, if the losses were so severe that you couldn’t replenish your forces, what kind of Undead Mage would you be?

An Undead Mage should always come out with more forces, never less.

This battle today was truly exhilarating.

Commanding the newly added undead into the ranks, Gu Xi didn’t forget to thank Gao Ta and Zuo Ya.

”Thanks, brothers, if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have gained so many undead this time.”

”That’s just luck, encountering such a large force, and your soul summoning skill isn’t weak either; it’s just that the undead enhancement level is a bit low. If you plan to go down this path, you’d better bolster your undead enhancement.”

Gao Ta replied with a smile.

”I have plans, but studying it will surely be slow.”

Gu Xi currently didn’t have a place to speed-read, relying solely on the daily reading time, which wasn’t sufficient for rapidly enhancing his skills.

”You can go to the guild’s library, where there are dedicated instructors. Having someone teach you will accelerate your progress.”

Upon hearing Gao Ta’s suggestion, Gu Xi’s eyes lit up.

Such an option existed, and it seemed that the rewards from this White Training Grand Ceremony included something like that. Perhaps he should try it when he returned.

Just as Gu Xi and the others were chatting, one of Zuo Ya’s men approached.

”Boss, the battlefield’s cleaned up, and the items have been counted. We...”

Zuo Ya pointed at Gu Xi, ”Go report to Brother Gu.”

”This time we found one piece of purple equipment and a blue quality treasure.”
