Gu Xi mentioned wanting to employ the Undead Transformation Technique, but it wasn’t until he actually began that he realized how troublesome it was.

The corpse’s heavy equipment requires corpse structure, various material combinations require knowledge of undead research, and at the end, adjustments are needed for the soul, along with drawing a magic array.

The knowledge required here is something that ordinary undead mages may take several years to access.

If following other paths of undead mage, it might even be necessary to reach Level 10 to meet the foundational requirements of the Undead Transformation Technique.

Gu Xi is now relying on having a bit more knowledge, forcefully assembling the necessary components of the Undead Transformation Technique.

This patchwork-enhanced corpse, along with the repeatedly modified magic array, gave Gu Xi a sense of satisfaction.

Even if this undead transformation fails this time, the effort provides Gu Xi an opportunity to consolidate his own knowledge.

For Gu Xi, it’s beneficial.

Gu Xi doesn’t feel it’s a loss.

After placing the treated corpse into the magic array, Gu Xi circled the outside of the magic array once more.

Confirming the magic patterns, offerings, and materials were in the designated positions without any detail errors, he then used the soul summoning skill on the corpse.

The core of the undead transformation technique is also summoning.

It’s about sending the soul into the corpse.

This time, Gu Xi did not casually handle the soul summoning as before, but controlled the white light point representing the soul, following the lines of the magic patterns, entering from one end, lighting up the magic array before injecting it into the corpse.

With the activation of the magic array, Gu Xi felt mana being drawn out from his body.

If an ordinary player witnessed the speed, they would definitely be startled.

Fortunately, Gu Xi had experienced Death Incarnation summoning and already had various coping methods for mana depletion.

This time, it’s just a large amount of mana flow, not complete depletion, so he ignored it and controlled everything calmly and seriously as usual.

Supported by the magic array, the soul enters the corpse; next, Gu Xi only needs to provide mana.

From Gu Xi’s perspective, the offerings at key positions in the magic array were ignited under the influence of mana, and then a large amount of gray aura was injected into the corpse.

After the gray aura was fully injected, the corpse’s hand suddenly moved.

Then the black cloak unfolded, and the Mirror Image Mage split into three, appearing in different positions in the magic array.

When Gu Xi reacted, the two Mirror Image Mages shattered like mirrors, leaving only the one on the left nodding in acknowledgment to Gu Xi.

Gu Xi noticed that the Mirror Image Mage was still wearing the full black evening attire, a tall top hat, and a cloak.

But his flesh had completely vanished, and though the face was hidden behind a white mask, and his hands were concealed under the cloak, Gu Xi could tell at a glance that he had already become a skeleton.

Now he was considered one of Gu Xi’s undead soldiers.

[You successfully use the soul summoning skill, Soul Summoning Skill Experience +1, gained slight insights into skills like corpse structure, undead research, soul knowledge.]

[Skeleton Mirror Guard (Level 4, Summoned Creature): Experience (0/500), Attack 4, Defense 3, Life 13, Skills: Mirror Movement, Mirror Image Clone, Weapon Master, Backstab.]

Regarding the Skeleton Mirror Guard transformed through undead magic, a trace of research insight flashed in Gu Xi’s eyes.

When the Skeleton Mirror Guard emerged, Gu Xi realized this newly transformed Skeleton Mirror Guard wasn’t part of the main battle unit but was more like a soldier.

The appearance of the Skeleton Mirror Guard signified that training can commence with this distinct skeleton troop within Gu Xi’s skeleton soldiers training camp.

Though he wasn’t like the previous special undead summoned by Gu Xi, the result this time didn’t waste Gu Xi’s effort.

Simultaneously, Gu Xi recognized the Skeleton Mirror Guard’s potential to evolve into high-level skeleton soldiers, with level 4 being his starting point but level 7 is the average level for such Skeleton Mirror Guards.

Additionally, his mirror movement ability is ideal for a scout role, a perfect choice as Luna is presently battling mirror-related mysteries, making this troop fitting for Luna’s use.

”Go to the Evil Church, and also pass my order, all Level 2 skeletons head to the Evil Church, prepare to upgrade to become Skeleton Mirror Guards.”

Gu Xi pointed at the Skeleton Mirror Guard, who nodded in acknowledgement at Gu Xi’s command.

Then he dashed away, disappearing in front of Gu Xi.

Witnessing his mobility method, Gu Xi knew that his choice was correct, this kind of Skeleton Mirror Guard was most suited for Luna’s use.

After dealing with a mysterious corpse, Gu Xi turned his attention to another large anomalous corpse.

Unlike the previous Mirror Image Mage, this corpse was a 2.6 meters tall, 1.5 meters wide wooden pillar with gold inlays, also a full-length mirror.

But the mirror was already shattered, and in the original mirror location, a note left by Luna was pasted.

Midnight Mirror.

One of the foundational and common mirror anomalies, rituals like civilians futilely invoking the Mirror Immortal or the midnight peeling of apples in front of mirrors stem from this Midnight Mirror.

He’s the source of the world’s basic mirror anomalies and naturally an important node in this mysterious mirror image space.

He’s also the weakest among the major mirror anomalies.

Luna’s immediate action was understandable.

But such a large full-length mirror left Gu Xi speechless.

Although the full-length mirror is considered dead, Gu Xi indeed hadn’t performed undead transformation on such abnormal corpses.

Though successful in transforming a Skeleton Mirror Guard, facing this Midnight Mirror left Gu Xi perplexed.

He circled the Midnight Mirror seven or eight times without devising a suitable method.

Yet it sparked Gu Xi’s interest.

He understood that the tougher the undead transformation seemed, the greater the rewards for Gu Xi.

Even if this undead transformation failed, Gu Xi could learn the cause of the failure and find better methods for future similar occurrences, avoiding repeated mistakes.

With such thoughts, Gu Xi wasn’t hurried with processing the Midnight Mirror but rode on the Evil Coffin heading to the library.

While crafting the Skeleton Mirror Guard, Gu Xi had insights that needed recording, alongside jotting down his creative thoughts.

At this moment, Gu Xi recalled the record paper left in the library.

Gu Xi wondered if this record paper could be used to document some of his ideas.
